Nice retail and restaurant area leading up to universal studios Japan. Lots of tourists and tourist stuff. With a nice mix of Japanese restaurants along with many typical American chain restaurants. 3 levels of restaurants and souvenirs - sure to find something for everyone.

The waiting queue for each rides was too long..around 45min-2 hours can't wait for it.. end up just watching the 4D shows n Jurassic Park show.. taking picture n buy souvenir.. nothing much, because the food also pricey n non-halal..not convenient for muslim tourist like me..

Most of the stores and restaurants here open until 22.00. foods are more worth the money than the restaurant inside the park

Universal City is a free shopping/restaurant area outside the entrance of Universal Studios Osaka. You can reach it either by JR (Japan Rail) line trains which is free with a JR Pass if you're touring (and remembered to buy your pass in advance) OR you can take a ferry from Osaka Port if you're visiting the aquarium/Tempozan first. Universal City itself is free to browse around in with all variety of shops and restaurants from around the world. There is an arcade and a few hotels as well. The air is filled with excitement as you walk around; music from Universal films are in the background, and cute characters from different shows and movies are placed here and there. Even if you don't plan on entering the theme park I highly recommend paying the place a visit! It's a highlight of my trips.

It's pleasant. Huge rush in morning as everyone sprinting to get inside Universal. Absolutely beautiful place to hangout afterwards. Lots of nice options for food for every budget

Mad house almost all the time. Mainly restaurants and more places to buy the same universal merch that was found inside the park. There are two Lawsons. It is not so busy Wednesday or Thursdays nights, so some restaurants close on those days. If there was a place you wanted to eat on those nights, check ahead of time.

This place offers a lively and bustling atmosphere with an array of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. The variety of dining choices caters to different tastes, and the vibrant street performances add to the lively ambiance. However, it get crowded during peak times, impacting the overall experience. The shopping selection is diverse but leans towards tourist-oriented items. Overall, it's a decent place for a casual stroll, shopping, and grabbing a bite, but don't expect a unique or exclusive experience.

Tons of food options to eat and some stores to buy merchandise. Right off the train station if you're not staying at one of the several hotels nearby.

It’s a very nicely designed outdoor mall, inspired by America. They take very good care of everything 10/10 Worst thing is All overpriced, most likely meant to target foreigners. Food is roughly 20% more expensive than typical USA prices. Shopping for universal branded franchises. Even the roads were designed with 1 way streets which forces taxi’s to take longer loops to get to your destination. You will most likely encounter this outdoor mall when you Come here for Universal Studios Japan (USJ) theme park. Expect the typical higher prices to get through your day. I also do not recommend toddlers and buggies/strollers/carriers as it can get crowded, especially inside USJ.

Strategically located between USJ and the nearest JR station, Universal Citywalk welcomes excited theme park-goers in the morning and bids them adieu after a whole day of fun and excitement at USJ. Universal Citywalk houses various dining and shopping options but expect to line up even at the convenience stores in the evening after USJ’s operating hours. It would be nice if the area looked less of an urban jungle. Adding more greeneries or placing a line of trees in the middle of the wide footpath are some ways to beautify the area and beat the summer heat without significantly obstructing foot traffic.

The reason this gets a 4-star rating is because of the Dressing Room. My cousin and I had almost lost hope about finding empty coin lockers when I found the sign for Dressing Room. It's not just a place for freshening up and changing, there are lots of empty coin lockers, too!

It’s so nice there. There’s a lot of stores there. A lot of restaurants and shops. You can buy a lot of souvenir in the Osaka Omiyage. We ate there in the restaurant there two times.

Has 3 Lawsons and 1 7/11. There are more Japanese restaurants than American. Drug store available on bottom floor. Tully's and Starbucks available.

Looks small but don’t be fooled because it’s a maze inside 👍😁 Don’t forget to give your parking ticket 🎫 to the cashier if you shop here in order to get parking discount - too bad Starbucks not included (I bought a mug) 😑

Amazing place at night very nice with bright lights. Lots of stores and restaurants. The family and I ate at bubba gumps restaurant. I had the octopus balls, and we also ate at this pizza restaurant which was pretty good as well.

This place was so cool! Lots of restaurants everywhere! There's YAKINIKU, CAFE'S, RAMEN, ETC. The theme of the restaurants were so unique! Even babies will definitely love it! I highly recommend this place if you seek unique, fun and nice places! 💖💖💖

Great location, lots of food and beverage options. Close to the hotel if staying at Park Front. Great hours, an option for every palette. Some restaurants have take our option which is GREAT after a long day at the park. There’s also several combinis I’d you need anything

👍👍 The window decoration of the Hankyu Department Store at main passage is extraordinarily wonderful modern artistically. As I felt it the indispensable opportunity to shoot, I did it excited.
