Worst Hotel Ever. Me and three other friends arrived at the hotel with a booking reservation for three nights starting on the day, with the payment method type of paying at the property. When we arrived the receptionist told us our reservation was cancelled because they couldn’t take the money out of the credit card. They also told us the room was no longer available and was already rented to someone else. However, on the Booking App there was no cancellation and the room was still ours. We were literally kicked out with no other place to stay nor a solution for their mistake. Clearly, they decided to do some extra money with the Golden Week and literally double booked our room. If paying at the property is not an option don’t make it available on the reservation platform. Also, the reception did not have a place to store the shoes, as all other properties in Japan have, and the entrance smelled like garbage due to the bags left in the front entrance.

Comfortable rooms with aircon that works well. Quiet location but close enough to walk to main attractions or get the subway. The staff are friendly and helpful. Shampoo, conditioner, soap provided. Hot water amenities. Only downside I would say is that the communal areas aren’t kept very clean and can become quite cluttered. Shoes are left everywhere in the doorway and there is limited cutlery / bowls in the communal kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. This being said I would still recommend as the place is very relaxed and you can do your laundry wash and dry for 500 yen.

Do not stay here!!! I only saw the lobby which was really cluttered and dirty compared to the photos. There was nobody there when I arrived then while I was trying to work out what to do a man walked in, straight past me through the door marked Staff Only. I called Hello and he came out, stared at me with crazy eyes, pointed at a sign that check in was at 3 and I was early, then noticed i was wearing my shoes (I was still by the door) and threw me and my bags out on the street like I was his wife he just found in bed with another man!! He must be the rudest and angriest man in all of Japan. There are plenty of cheaper, nicer places more centrally located with normal, emotionally stable staff.

A great budget capsule hotel. Clean facility with kind hosts. It’s in a great location for dotonburi access and easy Osaka metro access. The beds were comfortable. i would recommend to anyone looking for clean, affordable, simple accommodations in Osaka

Good location only five minutes from Ebisu, nice spacious beds with good privacy and at a very reasonable price. Staff there have excellent English, no issues communicating with them. Don't take card even if you booked using one though.

New experiences stay with bunk bed room. Good ambiance. Really very welcome services. 👍👍👍. The minus, I can't perm my hair, because the room has a small voltage on Picnic Hostel. But, If I'm going to Osaka, I'll be choose Picnic Hostel. Absolutely. Thank you.

Best location with best service. So comfy so well equipped. The area is surrounded by convini shops. 711 and lawson. Torikizoku on front. Smoking area at the door. Train station on the side. Absolutely perfect. The host is so nice so friendly. The guest were welcoming and great company. A mini temple on the side so cute. I loved it. Thank you

This hostel was everything I needed and nothing more. The twin room I had was compact but had enough space to unpack and relax. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was nice to crank up the AC after being in the heat all day. The man at the front desk was welcoming and friendly, and showed me how to use the laundry machines. Located within walking distance of Dotonbori as well. I'd happily stay here again.

A very nice hostel in Osaka! Hosts were excellent, extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are also very clean and comfortable, with all amenities found commonly in Japanese hostels. Hosts have good English so can help if you have a problem.

We stayed here for three nights and we have to say that the first impression was bad. The entrance/reception is messy and with all the guest’s shoes around the smell is considerable. Moreover when we arrived there was no one at the reception and we had to wait 20-30 minutes. Once you are in the room you feel comfortable and they are modern and nice. The soundprofing is not good though, you can clearly hear your neighbours talking, coughing and snoring. The cleaning is not perfect but it’s ok. Last thing I would say is that if you travel with JRpass the stations are a little bit far away!

Good value. Bathroom is almost unworkable for a six foot ninety kilo male. The shoe change area is also very small. Staff are friendly and it's well located. The alley is a bit dark but we never felt unsafe.

I booked a last minute stay at picnic hostel after an evening of heavy drinking and was delighted to find such a high quality hotel near Shinsaibashi on such short notice. Mia-san, the owner was delightful and not overbearing. Check in was simple and straightforward. The rooms were beautiful, with a special Japanese elegance. When I went to the nearby restaurant to pick up some take out dinner, upon my return Mia san prepared tea for me to take up to my room. In the morning she served me coffee and offered polite conversation. She even went so far as to trim the lint off of my pea coat for me before I left in the morning! A lovely stay for a great price, convenient to affordable dining and close to Shinsaibashi

We stayed in a private room that had four bunks & a private shower. Very comfortable, quiet, & warm in January. I speak fairly good Japanese & had some wonderful conversations with our host. She'll make sure you have what you need, know where you are going, & see you off. Definitely staying here again.

The service team is very nice, fun people. We have a lot of fun at the common area with guests and volunteers sharing food from their countries. I made good friends at PicNic and learned some words in Japanese, Korean, Chinese. The owner is also funny and very considerate about the guests. I met a lot of people who always come to this hostel when visit Osaka and I will be one of them next time I came to Osaka.
