Pleasant lunch at this cosy little cafe. They only have one item on the menu (set lunch), so do take note. Comes with drink of choice. The food is very well prepared in terms of quality and presentation, so the waiting time is fairly long. However, it was very worth it! So delicious and packed with healthy food choices in a plate. Drinks will be served after the food. It is facing a river of Kyoto as well with open windows, so you get a lovely view. Plays relaxing music as well. Highly recommended!!! (о´∀`о) please come if you’re in the vicinity :] **Bonus: It’s near Heian Shrine too so you can visit it after!**

This is a cafe but also very famous for the meal limited only 20 per day. It’s 1100yen and if you add 200yen more, you can enjoy drinks too. I don’t know whether the meal is changing everyday, but anyway, it was just fantastic. First of all, I really liked it because it was healthy food, made by a lot of vegetables and little of meet, but still, all of them was delicious. I love meats, but i know that the more vegetables are the better, but vegetables were not that much delicious usually. But at the restaurant, i wanted more and more vegetables, and it was an amazing experience. If i can have foods with vegetables like that everyday, maybe I don’t need to eat meat anymore! Also, i tried cheese cake too. It looked so delicious, and was delicious. Top of cheese was melting, soft, and the other layer of cheese was harder than it. And they baked sugar little bit on the top of the cake. I loved it too and you can enjoy it with ice cream too, and all of these was 500yen. It’s very small cafe, so cozy and quite, and the view you can see inside through the window is just so peaceful. I felt like i am truly in Kyoto. One business man(little bit old) was about to passing the cafe, but stopped, and came into the restaurant and ordered the meal. And when he went out, he said “it was fantastic coincidence that i found this restaurant, and everything was just perfect. I am so lucky today.”

Spring 2015. We stopped in here for a coffee.Our guide gave us time by ourselves to shop around. This little place offered some nice views of shopping life.The everyday life of the people in Japan coming and going.

My favorite meal in Kyoto! I had to wait 20 minutes but it was well worth it. The set menu was trainable priced (I believe around 1509 yen) and delicious. Mine included pork meatballs, Japanese Omelette, tofu, soup, lots of salad and interesting pickled options. I also chose to get the iced tea and loved the pottery it came in.

Highest quality, home made dishes. A bargain at 1500 yen. We waited to get a table, but absolutely worth the wait.

Amazing place for lunch/brunch and coffee/drinks. Atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable. Food is very delicious. Owner is so efficient and friendly. No English menu but always check the webpage for the latest menu of the week (use chrome to translate)

The restaurant is small! But the food is delicious! The place is quiet, so it makes me calm.

My favorite coffee shop in Kyoto. Her chocolate cake is decadent and gooey, the almond latte is delicious and always presented in the loveliest ceramic pieces, and the atmosphere is calming. It's easy to lose a few hours relaxing here. Please give her a visit

Awesome Japanese home style food. Cash only :). Only one menu to select but it has 4-6 different tapas. Its hard to find and food does run out pretty quick. I strongly recommend to come early as possible. If I visit kyoto again, then i will stop by this place again.
