KIX
airport
for
Osaka
a
few
times
but
mainly
international.
This
time
is
domestic
terminal
1.
To/
From
KIX
to
Osaka
has
many
options:
bus,
taxi
and
train/metro.
There
are
many
combinations
with
public
transportation
system.
If
you
use
train
system,
do
allow
time
for
switching
platforms
and
understand
what
line
you
are
taking.
Common
one
is
via
Kansai
express
and
connect
to
Osaka
loop
to
the
major
city
stations.
The
train
system
can
be
overwhelming.
Don’t
panic!
Just
ask
the
train
station
folks.
They
are
very
helpful
and
will
assist
you
to
make
the
choice.
Basic
rules:
faster
train
=
more
expensive.
Say
2300
yen
for
the
express
version
about
1
hour
or
less
pending
on
where
you
are
going.
Or
slower
train
and
connection
say
1200
yen
but
May
take
1.5
hour.
Be
aware
of
which
car
you
board
as
some
cars
may
switch
directions
at
certain
stations.
Google
map
is
quite
easy
to
use
and
even
tell
you
which
platform
to
go
to
for
switching
trains.
Lots
of
shops
and
eating
places.
Airport
is
tidy,
clean
and
well
organized.
FYI,
after
you
check
in
your
bags,
you
get
a
security
ticket
(yellow)
as
you
get
through
security,
then
you
may
get
another
pink
ticket
as
you
board
the
plane.
Interesting
concept,
but
not
sure
why
all
these
additional
paper,
etc.
(ANA)
Overall,
enjoyable
experience
at
KIX
airport.
Most
importantly
the
pricing
at
the
airport
before
and
after
security
are
reasonable
pricing.
A
bottle
of
water
for
100
yen
at
the
airport
to
me
is
amazing!
The
price
for
food
at
the
airport
is
similar
to
outside
airport.
I
am
impressed.
Did
not
feel
being
taken
advantage
due
to
airport
location.
