Stayed at this hotel for four nights and enjoyed every night. This hotel is great and highly recommended if you are staying in Osaka. The hotel is located on the main road just a two blocks south from the Hommachi station. It’s in a much more quiet and laid back area which was what I preferred. Just a bit further south is where all the action is if you choose to walk. I was given room 1202, a corner room, which appeared to be a bit larger than the other room my friends were staying in. Would recommend this room if possible. The rooms are super clean, probably one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. They provide everything you would need including a robe and slippers if you so choose. As usual, the toilet is a bidet. Shower was really good with great pressure and all the features you would like to give your body a car wash experience. Breakfast was complimentary every morning and in a large, brightly lit and clean room. Loved that the workers welcomed guests every morning as they enter. Tons of options to choose from whether you want a western or Asian style breakfast. And plenty of variety of fruit to choose from. Best part is they make a ton of different bread items that you can take with you using their to-go bag. Overall, this hotel is great and I wouldn’t hesitate to choose it again if staying in Osaka.

Been living in Japan around 12 years. Seen some of the best hospitalities in Japan & arohnd the world! But nothing matches this hotel! I really wish my company’s staff would handle my clients like the hotel staff handled us. :) While checking in, we requested for room on the high floor. Due to year end rush, it was not available. But the staff was so kind that she gave something unexpected. There are only 2 rooms on each floor which has “double side views” (corner room). She gave us that room so that we can have the best view of the city! Next morning, we went for breakfast. Now we are vegetarian (Jain, specifically). They specially prepared us the rice bread because all other breads had egg. Apart from that, too many options of salad, fruits & drinks! Now comes the best part. In breakfast, they have put the paper bags for those who don’t have time to sit & eat. They call it “Grab & Go”. Apparently there are very less options for Vegetarians in Japan. So we ate the breakfast Plus hesitatingly also packed some vegan items so that we can have it later in the day, if we don’t find any option. Instead of giving us embarrassing looks or any kind of rejection, suprisingly the staffs came to us & asked us if we need more! They said they can make more rice breads, fresh & warm! Superb experience! Apart from these, cleanliness, location, the view, everything was excellent. In a nutshell, they have surpassed our expectations 😇 Looking forward to stay there again & also at other Holiday inn establishments 🔥

Compact Comfort While space is a luxury in a place like Osaka or Tokyo, I was a bit hopeful when the front desk mentioned they had done a complimentary ‘upgrade’ because of my elite status. So I was quite surprised to see the ‘bigger’ room they had given me was what would be a super basic and compact room in most chain hotels across the rest of Asia. So If you are ok with small spaces, then you will love this place as everything else about it is spic and span! Given I paid the same price for a lovely ANA Crowne Plaza in the city the previous night, I do not think this is a value for money, and avoid it if you are looking to maximize your $$$ LOCATION: In the heart of Mido-Suji and close to good nightlife and Food scene. DINE + DRINK: Limited but decent Breakfast. The lobby-level lounge area feels more like a nice co-working cafe and a great place to chill out ROOM: I stayed in Room 2107, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Decent view of the city skyscrapers from a tiny window; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good Spa quality toiletries FACILITIES: Super tiny Gym that is nothing more than a small room with a few cardio machines. It barely qualifies to be even labeled a ‘Gym’. Another big letdown! But they do have a good Laundry room to get your clothes laundered if you are on a longer trip SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made me feel at home HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment primarily in the LOCAL language. But the Smart TV is good for connecting to Streaming apps directly

Good hotel, rooms were decent compared to other Japanese hotels. The toilets were nice and clean and everything has labels showing it was disinfected from previous guests. The shower was great with lots of different features. The staff was great and pretty nice. The only negative I have is the limited breakfast buffet and the long line. The hotel is just a 3 minute walk from shops and also close to attractions like universal studios. Overall, great experience and would recommend

Holiday Inn Express Osaka City Centre- Midosuji offers comfortable and clean yet tiny rooms to its guests. The service is polite and helpful. The hotel has a 24 hour gym but with only four machines and no weights. The breakfast is free but has limited options and can be busy enough making it difficult to attend. The hotel location is central and walkable (about 15-20 minutes) to many historic sites.

New hotel in a great location, only steps from the subway and an easy fifteen minute walk from Dotonburi. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but quite small. Service is friendly. Included breakfast is solid. A good value in Osaka.

Amazing hotel in the perfect location for exploring Osaka! Rooms are small but perfectly designed. Bathroom and shower was immaculately clean and relaxing. The included breakfast was excellent every morning to go (especially with how affordable the rooms are- I’m used to NYC and Vancouver high prices) The elevators were nice and fast given the number of guests. Staff were very professional. Will definitely recommend and will be returning!

If the price is competitive, I would stay again but it's crazy a hotel with 21 floors has just 3 elevators. Always crowded and always a wait. Twice I had to wait 10+ minutes because massive tourist busses arriving clogged up the elevator, and at most any other time you can expect to wait for a crowded elevator. Rooms are clean and ok sized for a metro area here, but small of course, twin beds being small but not unexpected. Nice shower. Breakfast is pretty good but crowded. Facilities like clothes washing are too little (4 and it takes 2-3 hours per load) for so many rooms, washer and dryer are not very good and take forever to dry and cannot select temp and will shrink everything, nice to have them but could be a lot better.

Stayed here for 4 nights in the King bed room. The bed is lovely, but there’s just not enough space to put even 2 luggages. We had to step (and trip) over our luggages the whole duration we were here. The saving grace i guess, would be the toilet and the TV. The shower and toilet bowl system is really fun and high tech.

Firstly the staff were fantastic; all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok and the location was decent enough - out of the centre but less than 10 minute walk to the nearest light rail station. The room was very small, we struggled for space for our cases and nowhere to put clothes except 3 hangers each in the hallway which are a bit in the way. However the shower and toilet were both great and everything was immaculately clean. The biggest negative is that it’s a hotel for Americans and Chinese so it gets quite noisy at times, and the lifts are a nightmare.

What we loved - the room was always very clean and comfortable. Bed and pillows lovely, and nicely appointed. The bathroom is next level and very modern and the best we experienced in Japan. What we liked - the included breakfast was nice and included a good amount of variety. It is a busy during breakfast time. What disappointed us - we stayed in a corner room that faced the main street. The cars and motorcycles are very noisy at night, as there seems to be a tradition to cruise down the street while revving your engine. It’s also very hard to get an elevator during busy times!

We opted for this hotel due to our confidence in the "Holiday Inn" brand, and indeed, our selection proved to be well-founded. The front desk staff exhibited exceptional friendliness and were informative in furnishing us with details on local navigation. Daily housekeeping services were available, and essential items such as mineral water were promptly provided upon request. The only drawbacks we can identify are the audibility of passing vehicles from our room, which, though not a major concern given our fatigue and infrequent occurrence, and the somewhat cramped layout of the room. The hotel is situated within a brief 10-minute walk from the Hommachi train station. Dotonbori is just a few stations away, and there is also a comprehensive shopping district within minutes' walking distance.

I had to unexpectedly find a new place to stay about a week before my trip to Japan and I consider myself lucky that I did. I was absolutely amazed at this hotel. The room was very efficiently laid out, making the most of the small (to me) space. The option to cast my streaming subscriptions to the TV was a nice surprise and I'm still missing the spa shower. Breakfast was a great mix of western and Japanese options and the quality was top notch. The staff did a great job keeping everything stocked up. The rest of the staff at the hotel did a great job as well. I had a few inquiries that were all addressed quickly. The location is convenient for the trains and the Shinsaibashi shopping street. There are also four luxury car dealerships within a few blocks if you want to go window shopping.

The hotel location is 5 min walk from everything. The staff of the hotel super helpful and helped me with an issue that I had. The room is a bit small but all rooms in Japan are small. The room was clean and the breakfast was good.

Nestled in Osaka’s City Center near the shopping district and mass transit, the Holiday Inn Express is a delightful steal! Picture this: beds softer than marshmallows, sheets as smooth as jazz, and towels fluffier than clouds. The hotel sparkles with a recent makeover – it’s like Cinderella’s ball, but without the midnight rush. The staff? They’re not just friendly; they’re the unicorns of hospitality, sprinkling kindness everywhere. Now, let's talk breakfast escapades! Rise and shine at 6:30am, and brace yourself for the ultimate breakfast battleground. Why? Tour groups flock to this hotel like bees to honey, forming lines longer than a giraffe's neck. But fret not, for victory tastes sweeter after a worthy wait. Oh, and for those in desperate need of laundry day? Fear not! The hotel boasts four coin-operated machines at 600 yen a pop (laundry detergent included). These laundry wizards wash and dry, but heed this advice: don't overwhelm them with a heavy load, unless you want damp surprises. Patience is key; give them 120 minutes, and your clothes will thank you.

Pros: Service is swift and smart, they will not let you wait, they act very polite. Room is modern, clean and have enough space. Comfortable bad. Good breakfast buffet. Cons: Usage of plastics for hand wash/ shampoo is not environmental friendly. Neighboring room sound can be annoying during late night.

This hotel is in a great spot within proximity of a few subway lines in order to get across town. Making it completely accessible to Osaka station. Mineral water is brought daily, and the linen service can be requested every day. Ultimately, I will definitely consider this hotel again for a future Osaka stay!

Great Hotel, would stay here again. Service is great, friendly english speaking staff. They have a shower that my partner enjoyed. Bed and pillows are super comfy. My only negative comment is the train station going here can be confusing especially the exit. Know that there is an exit from the station with elevator. Dont be like us we took the stairs and it was a nightmare with heavy luggage.

Amazing hotel close to Osaka Metro and within walking distance to Dotonbori and other shopping/tourist areas. Beds were on the firm side, but got amazing sleep all three nights I stayed. The room is stocked with both a soft pillow and firm pillow for each bed which is a nice touch for those who prefer one or the other. Shower in my room had no tub but all the bells and whistles you can think of with different nozzles and spray features. I was able to store my luggage with the reception desk after check out before I left for the airport, so if you need to store your luggage before you check in or after you check out, don’t hesitate to ask the lobby staff! Well worth the price!

Great location and breakfast buffet. Room was clean, quiet and cozy. As platinum member perk, an upgraded room was automatically assigned prior to checkin and the front desk offered 2pm late checkout. Overall excellent stay and value for money.

Room size 200 sq feet is average according to the Asian standard, but l feel it is a bit small for us. The bathroom is extremely small. However, it is very clean. Though it is close to the center but it is very quiet. The service is very good. The front desk can speak English. Since l am IHG member, l was allowed early check in.

Good value hotel, breakfast included which is great. Rooms are slightly more spacious than typical Japanese style rooms and the bathroom was lovely. Staff were friendly and location was great - short walk to large shopping areas and Dotonbori.

My husband and I stayed at this property on January, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The room is modern, clean and has everything that we need. The location is so convenient too, makes it easy to get around. What left the most impression is the staffs! They’re all welcoming and friendly. We’d like to thank Jin from the Front Desk also ladies & gentlemen at breakfast service for their hospitality. Thank you Jerome-san for such a warm welcome, you have an amazing team! We will definitely be back! 😊

Centrally placed at Namba and popular osaka places are easily accessible. Lifts are small and in rush hour you may have to spend little more time there.Spaces in room are little tight to move but its understandable as its centrally located.

(Translated by Google) I often stay in Osaka, but this time I was looking for a place near Honmachi. I've been wondering about it for a while, so I stayed this time. I reserved a high floor king bed 18 square meters. It was 7650 yen. Great room for the price! It's a little expensive considering the current hotel situation in Osaka, but it's recommended for people like me who are looking for a quiet room environment with less hotel noise. The king bed was wonderfully comfortable. Also, the bathroom was spacious and nice. Especially the shower booth was a wonderful system like a foreign hotel. No vegetables for breakfast. There weren't many, but the fruits and drinks were substantial. There was also a space for meetings on the lobby floor. This hotel is also ideal for business use. The front desk is also wonderful, and I will repeat it again.

(Translated by Google) As it is a new facility, the lobby and guest rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was a card with the name of the person in charge of cleaning in the room, and I found that they were responsible for cleaning it. There is no bathtub, but the shower room is not small and can be used comfortably. It was great that the bath towels were the size and thickness that no other hotel had! The downside is that all the amenities are tubes with lids, which makes them a little harder to use (maybe because I'm used to pumping ones).

The room is clean, the linen is soft, the lavatory is spotless, the staffs are welcoming. Everything is nice but…., the lining up for breakfast :(

  • 4/5 CL L. 1 year ago on Google
Prices are fair for the location. Rooms are small so I would only recommend if you’re here for a day or two because there’s physically no space in the room. Not suitable for working since there is no real chair and the wifi here is weak… too weak for a video call and it sometimes cuts off too. Also, I can hear everything clearly because the walls are super thin. While I did not enjoy my sleep, the staff members are friendly and they honored all the IHG elite benefits
