Monkey Bay Camp and Resort is as the name ways. It is a serene and cool getaway, vacation, or staycation destination some few hundred meters from Murang'a Town and at the riverbanks of River Mathioya. It has a vast ground for spending some moments away munching on fries, kuku, mbuzi, or beef choma. The staff are friendly and quick to attend to you although the food might take ages. There's a camping site with some amazing wooden cabins for camping. You can also wide the night away at the river banks next to the camping ground. Or you can play snooker (pool table) at a table at the resort. Recommended

I'm glad to have discovered this place, couldn't have made my Easter holiday any memorable than it was. Exemplary camping site, hospitality and spectacular scenery. Definitely my to go place any other day 😉

The place is calm n beautiful, open bar, there is a pool table for those who like pool table games, nature at it's best. The view of the amazing river n big rocks. Food is yummy and fast delivery.

I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Muranga County.

Great views and great music by DJ Justin plus drinks are affordable. You have the option of taking up a tent or cabin near the river which all less than 3000/-.

3 days there with a church group and everything was fabulous, the management, the workers really welcomed us very well. I give you 5 stars for your service, warm shower water, the food there and even the camping area. Kudos!!

Very camping friendly. The campsite was able to accommodate 40 of us for some nights & the food service was impeccable. The grounds were clean with washrooms, friendly staff & the scenery was beautiful.
