I
was
really
looking
forward
to
eating
here
after
seeing
the
positive
reviews.
So,
let's
deal
first
with
the
restaurant
itself.
Great
location
in
the
heart
of
the
old
town,
the
restaurant
has
a
modern
charm
and
atmosphere,
split
on
two
levels.
Freindly
and
helpful
waiters/waitresses.
It's
also
a
relatively
romantic
setting,
seeming
perfect
for
couples,
and
on
this
occasion
I
was
with
my
wife.
My
wife
ordered
a
cockle
dish
which
we
were
told
after
we
placed
our
orders
was
no
longer
being
served,
she
was
recommended
a
mussel
dish
which
was
ok,
but
perhaps
too
simple
in
a
tomato
and
basil.
Mussels
were
clearly
fresh
and
we'll
cooked.
I
ordered
tempura
cod
with
quails
eggs
and
espargus.
All
on
a
bed
of
salmorejo
salsa.
Quail
eggs
were
fine,
but
the
cod
was
so
tiny
and
minimal
I
found
it
hard
to
find
it.
The
dish
was
covered
in
chopped
asparagus
which
was
so
aldente
is
was
borderline
raw.
It
was
a
very
strange
combination
of
ingredients
which
didn't
work.
It
was
made
less
palettable
with
the
raw/aldente
asparagus
and
insufficient
cod.
All
very
disappointing.
I
asked
the
waitress
to
ask
the
chef
to
taste
the
asparagus
I
had
left,
but
she
was
a
little
defensive
implying
it
was
meant
to
be
that
way.
No
feedback
came
back
from
the
kitchen.
The
menu
is
too
insufficiently
described
with
dishes
too
simply
explained.
I
thought
perhaps
it
was
because
I
was
reading
an
English
menu,
but
the
Spanish
menu
was
the
same.
My
dish
was
described
as
a
cod
'speciality'
but
it
was
more
an
asparagus
dish
with
quail
eggs
and
a
cod
garnish.
Less
importantly
it
came
10
minutes
after
my
wife's
and
only
after
reminding
the
waitress,
who
did
look
into
it
and
reported
back.
It
could
have
been
a
poor
choice
of
dish,
but
I
won't
be
coming
back.
