(Translated by Google) Nice building but with little substance. The essential thing would be the climb to Monteagudo, currently prohibited. I find that "tooth" in the middle of the plain impressive. The view must be awesome (Original) Bonito edificio pero con poca substancia.

Not far from town..8-10 euros by taxi, or there's a bus, well worth the visit. Free entry and free commentary tracking the complete history of the area through the centuries. Staff are amazingly helpful and friendly

We couldn't access it, it was closed anyway, it seemed like a metal clump with very little charm and also blocking the view of a large part of the view of the castle.

Small exhibition on 4000 years of history with a later focus on Murcia. Interesting modern building complex.

Admission is free, scanning the QR codes plays audios explaining the entire history and exhibition, it was short but very interesting

Beautiful old city and the Christ figure is reminiscent of Rio. The visitor center is great, the architecture (perforated metal walls) is impressive and the exhibition is informative and extensive. All highly recommended!

Something simple, community could highlight the potential that this place has. Other places in Spain with less are full of tourists.

The building is great and the views from the base of the Christ, spectacular. In addition, the entrance is free. It is worth the visit. (Translated by Google) The Monteagudo visitor center has free admission. It shows a journey through the Argaric, Iberian, Roman and Arab civilizations that settled in Monteagudo. It has quite a few remains found in the town, even belonging to the Bronze Age. I like to go from time to time, there is always something new ;) (Original) El centro de visitantes de Monteagudo tiene entrada libre. The castle is located on the top of a hill. This fortress is very well preserved. The archaeological remains found belong to the Islamic period. After the foundation of the town of Murcia (825), as well as serving as a fortress, it was also a prison and grain store for peasants having huge underground reservoirs so that the garrison could hold out for long periods of time. Its wall is made of solid stretches of wall mortar, the plan adapts to the topology of the terrain, spreading across two terraces located on different heights. To the south flank several underground reservoirs can be found along with grain stores and other rooms. The castle did not loose its strategic function during the Christian conquest rather it formed part of the Castilian Crown. After the constitution of the Kingdom of Murcia, it was converted into a border castle between the kingdoms of Aragon and Castile and it performed this function until the 15th century.
