While travelling around I stop in at a lot of pubs for a meal, however the Royal Hotel let me down just a little on meal. The staff where great, super friendly, and had a good old chat with a few locals about the current news topics and how the government was doing a rubbish job for the local community. :-) The pub was clean and loads of space in the beer garden out the back, which was really nice. Had I not got a meal, It would have been 5 stars. Would I go here again? Yeah to see if it was a once off for the food.

I called in to the Royal hotel and had lunch. I took some photos. I really enjoyed my meal and I quite enjoy the atmosphere of the Royal hotel. You can stay there overnight as well. They have rooms. Thank you for looking after me so well with my mix grill, I really enjoyed it From michael

5 stars given to this beautiful Hotel. The staff are so friendly & proud of their hard work restoring the Cobb & Co stop. Lots of history too. Great pub food & RV overnight parking with toilets & showers. Pet friendly too. Highly recommend!

This is a bit of a gem..almost like being in a time warp with the beautifully preserved old Cob and Co stagecoach and stables with original cobble floor and woodwork. The hotel is historic in that sense and worth a look. Had a Saturday lunch there...loved the Thai beef salad and the Vege Spring rolls were delicious and generous serve. Cold beer, service is friendly and prompt, the locals are are great bunch of young fellas and old barflies who could spin a lifetime of history and yarns. Awesome.

We were driving through. Pub is casual and has music late in the evening on weekends, which could be a plus. They do serve a great breakfast, but the morning we were there the power was out for the whole town. No hot water and no breakfast. It added to our adventure. Our room had a window heat/ac unit, the kids' rooms did not. Bath and showers are in the hall for all rooms. If you love historic hotels, this is a great choice!

We (husband, kids and myself) stopped in here for lunch yesterday and it was delicious. Simple pub fare but really well done, the grounds and buildings are pretty and well maintained. We were served by the owners grandchildren and they were so nice and enthusiastic about their work and the customers. Great work Royal, we will be back!

Nice beer garden with great kids play facilities. Went for lunch, ordered 2 steaks cooked rare and a pie and chips. Upon arriving at our table, the pie was completely frozen. Returned it to kitchen. We then went to eat the steaks, they were so well done we could barely cut them. We would of battled through but figured the pie was being remade anyway. About 30 minutes later the new steaks arrived. The pie however never arrived. I followed it up with the kitchen, the waiter apologised and refunded the value of the pie, they forgot to remake. We had to find another venue to buy lunch for our young children. Very poor form!
