5 stars doesn’t seem enough. Right from my first phone call there was compassion and we were new clients. Our Hugo had to be euthanised as we expected. The service we had from Sam the Vet and staff was wonderful. We wanted to bury our aged cat at home and the after service was so beautiful, unexpected and very appreciated.

I took my beautiful Golden Retriever to Murwillumbah Veterinary Clinic today for the first time. They were excellent! I contacted them in the morning and Tiffany was able to get him in straight away. Doctor AJ and Nurse Helen was extremely kind, caring, informative and able to treat my dog. Dr AJ took the time to ask questions and explain what was going on and answer any of mine. I was really happy with the professional expertise and service provided and they are reasonably priced. Dr AJ followed up with phone call in the afternoon which was appreciated. Thanks Murbah Vets. We will be back. :)

We have been bringing both our dogs here for 2 year now and we have been blown away with every visit. Every staff member is full of love and kindness towards our dogs and us. They really have gone above and beyond. When our god had an unknown issues and had to get lots of tests done they were very communicative and supportive. The vet, AJ, even called around to various pharmacies in town for me to get us the antibiotics at a more reasonable price! Vet Cristina took on Hero's case and was determined to solve the problem for us. In another event, our dog went into mild anaphylaxis on a Saturday and the graciously took us in right away. Vet Tanis and Nurse Lisa were highly educated on the matter and ensured Tilley was out of harms way quickly, but so calmly. They then let us stay as long as we needed to to watch her and make sure that she was going to be okay. Murwillumbah Vet clinic makes us feel like family every time we go in, and I could not be more grateful to all that they have done for us. Thank you everyone!!!

It has been two week since I brought my dog into this vet practise. She had been off her food for a few days and was generally lethargic and unwell. I rang first thing on Thursday morning when they opened, explained the situation and was told the only availability was a 4:40 appointment, which I took. I arrived and waited an hour before being seen. Then when I was seen, the vet said she thought my dog had a Pyometra. She said this is a life threatening condition. She took bloods, and I waited another hour, while this vet, the only one on duty, saw other patients. Then she told me the blood had clotted and she needed to take more blood, which she did. After being there almost 3 hour, the end result was that I was to come back in the morning, and they'd do an ultrasound, which I did. The results of the ultrasound for Pyometra was negative. While she was sedated it was suggested to desex her while she was there, I agreed. I picked her up at 3:30 and the nurse handed over to me about her operation, no vet came to speak to me. The nurse told me the surgeon had done an examination and found old blood stained faeces. I believe that this was the main issue with my dog when I first brought her in, gastritis, which was completely brushed over, and not investigated. They sent her home on tablets that required food before administering. She wasn't eating so that was impossible. I made a few attempts to give her the tablets, which resulted in her vomiting them up. She continued to become unwell and was vomiting. I rang the vets, and was told a vet would ring me by 10, and then they reminded me that I would be charged for a phone consultation, this is after already paying almost $2000, on a aged pension. They never rang me. I than rang them and told them I was bringing her back in. She was seen by yet another vet. There is no continuity of care here. This vet took more blood and sent her home on another tablet to treat gastritis. Over the weekend my little dog continued to deteriorate. She had blood coming from her bottom. After all of this and almost $2000 later, a lot of money, my little dog is still poorly. There was no aftercare to follow up with a phone call to see how she was. I am very disappointed with this clinic and will not be returning. I now have to find another vet today, who will hopefully be able to treat my beautiful little Schnauzer and return her to health.

A huge thank you to Doctor Joan and team for their wonderful care of our adored four year old dog Livi. We woke up yesterday to find that Livi had gone blind overnight and rushed her in to the clinic where she was lovingly greeted and examined. Initially it appeared to be glaucoma and time was of the essence so Joan made a special emergency appointment for us with a dog eye specialist who examined her eyes and discovered that they were perfect except for a greatly swollen optic nerve (which was causing the blindness) resulting from meningitis. This was a shock to us as Livi has been healthy and symptom free except for being a little less energetic than usual. We then went back to Joan who is managing her ongoing treatment, and again Livi (and we) were greeted really warmly and reassuringly. We are so grateful to have such a competent, knowledgeable, efficient and hugely kind vet practice and couldn't recommend them more highly.

Thank you to the wonderful Vets, Nurses and Reception team! You are always so caring, warm and supportive. You take the time to listen and make such thorough observation notes and explain everything so well. And I always feel like I can get in touch to receive clarity and further support.

I highly recommend Murwillumbah veterinary clinic. The staff and vets are friendly, professional, accommodating and extremely helpful, welcoming and love my dogs. Both of my dogs have been going to the clinic since birth and we honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. My dogs know when we pull up in the car where they are going and get excited for the visit. I know when taking my dogs to the clinic that they are in the best care they can be in as the advice and service is amazing. Thank you Murwillumbah Vet Clinic

The care given to my cat by this vet clinic on several occasions when he has been very sick or in need of emergency care has been second to none. Dr Joan and her team are caring, compassionate, highly trained and skilled, and make you feel like they are treating your pet as if it were their own. I would recommend them to anyone. They always make me and my best furry friend feel welcome and as though we are part of their family while they are providing care. This vet practice is just another part of this small town that I love. Think 'All Creatures Great and Small', but based in Northern NSW.
