It
has
been
two
week
since
I
brought
my
dog
into
this
vet
practise.
She
had
been
off
her
food
for
a
few
days
and
was
generally
lethargic
and
unwell.
I
rang
first
thing
on
Thursday
morning
when
they
opened,
explained
the
situation
and
was
told
the
only
availability
was
a
4:40
appointment,
which
I
took.
I
arrived
and
waited
an
hour
before
being
seen.
Then
when
I
was
seen,
the
vet
said
she
thought
my
dog
had
a
Pyometra.
She
said
this
is
a
life
threatening
condition.
She
took
bloods,
and
I
waited
another
hour,
while
this
vet,
the
only
one
on
duty,
saw
other
patients.
Then
she
told
me
the
blood
had
clotted
and
she
needed
to
take
more
blood,
which
she
did.
After
being
there
almost
3
hour,
the
end
result
was
that
I
was
to
come
back
in
the
morning,
and
they'd
do
an
ultrasound,
which
I
did.
The
results
of
the
ultrasound
for
Pyometra
was
negative.
While
she
was
sedated
it
was
suggested
to
desex
her
while
she
was
there,
I
agreed.
I
picked
her
up
at
3:30
and
the
nurse
handed
over
to
me
about
her
operation,
no
vet
came
to
speak
to
me.
The
nurse
told
me
the
surgeon
had
done
an
examination
and
found
old
blood
stained
faeces.
I
believe
that
this
was
the
main
issue
with
my
dog
when
I
first
brought
her
in,
gastritis,
which
was
completely
brushed
over,
and
not
investigated.
They
sent
her
home
on
tablets
that
required
food
before
administering.
She
wasn't
eating
so
that
was
impossible.
I
made
a
few
attempts
to
give
her
the
tablets,
which
resulted
in
her
vomiting
them
up.
She
continued
to
become
unwell
and
was
vomiting.
I
rang
the
vets,
and
was
told
a
vet
would
ring
me
by
10,
and
then
they
reminded
me
that
I
would
be
charged
for
a
phone
consultation,
this
is
after
already
paying
almost
$2000,
on
a
aged
pension.
They
never
rang
me.
I
than
rang
them
and
told
them
I
was
bringing
her
back
in.
She
was
seen
by
yet
another
vet.
There
is
no
continuity
of
care
here.
This
vet
took
more
blood
and
sent
her
home
on
another
tablet
to
treat
gastritis.
Over
the
weekend
my
little
dog
continued
to
deteriorate.
She
had
blood
coming
from
her
bottom.
After
all
of
this
and
almost
$2000
later,
a
lot
of
money,
my
little
dog
is
still
poorly.
There
was
no
aftercare
to
follow
up
with
a
phone
call
to
see
how
she
was.
I
am
very
disappointed
with
this
clinic
and
will
not
be
returning.
I
now
have
to
find
another
vet
today,
who
will
hopefully
be
able
to
treat
my
beautiful
little
Schnauzer
and
return
her
to
health.
