    Our server was polite & attentive. Manager comped the pretzel sticks & gave us a discount. These are the ONLY 2 REASONS I give 2 stars instead of 1! Hostess was visibly irritated with an attitude at our seating request. Our first round of pretzels was overcooked almost burnt. This second batch looks exactly the same & tastes burnt & greasy. The 2nd batch of beer cheese that came was so hot it scalded my tongue. We asked the steak be between mid well-well....... This is clearly medium AT BEST! Your cook staff is in dire need of training. My husband's exact words were "this is why I'll never come back here. This happens every single time" & he's right. I've yet to have a properly cooked order from this Applebees location.

    Awesome place. The food was so good. Our waitress was awesome. Would most definitely recommend. I had the salmon, and my friend had the steak. Both were delicious.

    What a joke. I shouldn’t trash the establishment for a worker’s lack of passion but keeping a server who doesn’t recognize and appreciate a guest is a management decision. What I thought was going to be a spontaneous fun night with a bestie turned into short cut dinner. I had a better customer service from the lady who handed my food at McDonald’s where I stopped right after I left. At least five servers, maybe six tables but I am left there, trying to enjoy the appetizers some other server served with no napkins. By the time my server ended up showing, I had already lost my appetite. I know what kind of service I deserve at what place and I won’t settle for anything less. This was such a disappointment. I still left a tip over 50% ( $50 on a $30. That bill could had been $200. Not recognizing your clientele is the worst thing you can do to your business ). I have been a server all my life; I wasn’t this bad on my first day. Never again. There are enough places who can give me a service I deserve. Onion rings were burnt. Cheese sticks were amazing. I didn’t try the spinach dip nor the pretzels but they did look good.

    Had lunch with my son's here today. Instead of a fun rest of our Saturday we had planned we ended up really sick for the past 1-1.5 hours. Besides a few small issues during the meal and having to send my youngest son's food back for a remake (his steak was too well done to chew) we completed our meal and everything seemed fine at first. Within 30 minutes of leaving, we all began to getting sick. I called the manager (Ruth) and informed her that we were all ill. I even advised that she may want to wipe down the booth we sat at. She never asked which booth we sat in ... she didn't Really ask anything else accept how long ago we had dinned (it was approximately 30min prior) before She got argumentative for no reason. She tried telling me that food poisoning takes 24hrs to start, when I never mentioned anything accept telling her we had gotten ill. I let her know that besides just common sense knowledge of human anatomy, a simple Google search could easily disprove this misinformation. DO NOT EAT HERE! Fingers crossed the vomiting is all done. Given the defensiveness and argumentative nature of this manager I would bet she gets frequent calls with ill customers. Save yourself the ill experience (literally). NEVER TO RETURN!

    I’m beyond comprehension on this.. 🤦🏻 Incredibly sad to see such a long running establishment have numerous issues pertaining to proper customer service in today’s day and age. I Went there today on a Thursday at 6:30pm, I wasn’t waited on by any waiter / waitress for 15 minutes & No one came to acknowledge us at our table. The bar received far more attention. I’m Completely flabbergasted will never eat here again. I’m not even sure I still would want to have takeout by curbside. Shut this place down.

    My most recent experience at Applebees was AMAZING! Shelly greeted me at the door and was so welcoming. My waitresses name was Jaren and she was just the best. Both of them were so helpful and kind.

    Server Cindy was wrrible! She took 10 mins to even get our drink order. Then another almost 10 to get them. She forgot she already took out order and asked us Twice if we ordered.. she never even brought food to.our table. 3 other people did. She had terrible service skills. I had to send my steak back because she couldn't read her writing apparently. Then get it still Raw! She's like oh sorry here's your bill.. she drops the bill off and stands there to tell us how sweaty she is! she made the experience horrible!

    The place was dead on a Tuesday and we waited a long time for service. The food also took a long time to come and although it tasted good my stomach was in pain by the time I got home. The Waitress didn't need to let us know she was in the bathroom and no one came to get her... like are you sick? Why would I want to give you my order knowing you just came from a LONG trip to the restroom? Gross. We noticed that the wait staff didn't seem to help eachother and the manager was very nice and seemed to be taking many tables orders. Literally took our drink order on a napkin. Thankful for him. Overall everyone was nice, our Waitress apologized for our experience, but we probably wouldn't go back for a while.

    Wife and I went out for appetizers and a drink. Lindsey made an awesome Long Island iced tea. Seating and service has returned to normal now that covid restrictions have been lifted

    We went for dinner on a Friday night. They were polite and got us seated rather quickly. Our waiter was Charlie. He was super friendly… checked on us often… and did a super job. The food and drinks were also yummy.

    Every time I come in the staff is awesome and the food is great! Tanya is a great server and bartender! very friendly attentive :) Lyndsey is friendly and remembers what I drink and my favorite order.. the hostess are quick to get you seated and the managers seem to really care about the guests and the employees.

    Be prepared for the long waits. It took 15 minutes for a hostess to even greet us. We waited for over 2 hours for food. It was over 45 minutes from the time we ordered until we actually got our food. Only positive was that our waitress was super sweet. She had to ask the manager 6 times to come talk to us and we then waited another 30 minutes just to speak with her.

    Ordered a catering size portion of spin dip, and although the dip itself as well as the containers of chips were smaller than when I ordered them in grand haven a few weeks ago, I was still impressed by how quickly they had the order ready and by how kind and helpful Rose was. I had an online coupon that wasn’t working with the website, and she still honored it for me in the store. I really appreciated her professionalism and willingness to go out of her way for me.     Lindsey is the absolute best bartender Applebees has had in years. She is friendly, funny, attentive, and makes you think you’ve known her for years. Not to mention she’s easy on the eyes!!

    Food is very inconsistent. I am a huge fan of the Cheetos wings. 3 times out of 5 when I get them they are missing the cheese sauce and are just dry wings with the Cheetos pieces. Last time I dined in they were missing the sauce. My server never came back to the table until we were ready for the bill and I had to ask him for a cup of the sauce then. It was clear we were done with our meal and I didn’t get any apologizes or offer to discount the wings. Only brought me a small cup of the sauce that are supposed to be on the wings. Today I did a curbside order to pick up on my lunch at work. Waited ten minutes in the spot, and then had to call back inside because again they were missing the sauce. I was brought out a cup and no apologies. I work in customer service and this isn’t a good way to keep customers! It shouldn’t be difficult to make food the same way all the time

    Our anniversary was held here. It was a disaster. Our server had no idea how to talk to people or it must have been his first day. He messed up our order multiple times or served us cold fried food. My fiancés order was also over done. The plates were cold to the touch just like the food. Everything had to be sent back and reordered. Adding to a already over hour waiting period. Our server Charles didn't seem to concerned when we mentioned how dirty the booth was. And requested to be reseated as the window had dirty snot lines from the previous parties child.🤮 The shrimp was over done and dry. Just as my breaded fried chicken. How a kitchen could mess up such simple orders I don't know. Inexperience I guess?? Lack of care? Lack of consideration. There was clearly no hospitality from the other servers as they only checked by the table to be nosy and not offer any help, drink refills, or napkins. Never returning to this rat trap of a excuse of a restaurant that employed this cockroach. At the end of it the order was comped, we were about to leave and all Charles cared about was how much $ he was getting from us for our time with him. Hurtful. Not hospitable.

    I walked in the experience was very welcoming the host greeted my family with respect and the waitress served us with the utmost love and hospitality. she made sure we knew all the specials on the menu explained the drinks very well and got us our food quickly. I definitely recommend and a huge thanks again to our waitress Brittany Watts.

    Myself and six others from work dropped in after our shift to Sherman Applebee's. It was around 11 when we arrived. A gentleman from my job arrived first and asked if we can have a fairly larger table because he expected a few more people to arrive. The waitress was clearly unhappy and expressed they really didn't want a large crowd so close to closing. We did not plan to stay long. It was another co-workers b'day and we wanted to have a quick drink with her. It took a very long time to place our orders and actually receive the drinks. Mine was missing all the fruit. Another person's bacon burger was missing the bacon and another person's shrimp scampi was shrimp less. It wasn't a great experience and we will not be returning!

    Lindsey is an absolutely wonderful bartender and human being! She is so sweet and charismatic and accommodating, whatever she’s getting paid is not enough simply because of how awesome she is at her job. She deserves the most! She has made every single Applebee’s experience I’ve had after work more than enjoyable! Food is always delicious as well. Will be back time and time again

    I would give Applebee's a 3.8-star review based on the quality of their food. During my recent visit, I found their dishes to be good and delicious, meeting my expectations. The varied menu options catered to different tastes, and the flavors were satisfying. Additionally, I found the prices to be reasonable, not exorbitant or overly expensive. This made the dining experience more enjoyable, as it offered good value for the quality of food served. Although there were no outstanding aspects that would warrant a higher rating, Applebee's provides a solid dining option with tasty food and prices that won't break the bank.

    Katie was an amazing server, and her attitude was 10/10. Her willing to get our food out on time was the best service I've ever seen and everything came out correct. I will recommend her to my family friends if they ever come here.

    Salty food, great customer service. I don't recommend the ribs. The mashed potatoes are grape but the nachos as so grows Update 20230406 Customer service is still great. Food has gotten slightly better

    Atmosphere was friendly and so were the staff. Food came out quick but my drink was empty a few times. The environment was a little loud. I've definitely been to worse applebees locations though. I'll probably visit again

    If you want really good service go see Amanda. She's an amazing worker and will make sure you have a great experience. Don't be stingy on that tip. She deserves every dollar

    Staff was so friendly and accommodating... shared the 2/$32.00, I had the crispy chicken with the penne noodles (asked noodles to be cooked well; excellent), with salad... everything was wonderful, along with hit tea and lemons... so hot and soothing (it was so cold outside.

    Got there and parking lot wasn't even half full. Once we got in, was told it would be a 20 minute wait. Figured it was because of being short staffed. No biggie. Once we were seated, got our order placed right away. Took forever for the food to come. It was delicious. Never seen waitress. Had to wait for bill and then an extremely long time for her to return. Probably won't be back.

    Tuesday evening after a Movie nearby, we looked for a place to cont a GREAT TIME that would be open LATE! We would HIGHLY recommend Sherman Ave APPLE 🍎 B's!! The food was hot 🔥& fast! Our server, Leo, was so kind, patient and a true GEM 💎!! He never made us feel in a hurry, or in his way (not many customers were there that late) & even shared some of his own story, with us. He made our Apple 🍎 B's experience a 10+ rating!!

    I had one one the best services in a long time while at Applebee's last night! All the managers were very helpful being my first time at the restaurant. My server Janiaha did an awesome job. Was always present and very sweet. I will recommend this place to family and friends. Food was great and so was the service. Thanks again for such a great time.

    I ordered a steak medium well and when I received it, the steak was cooked extremely well done & very dry. I immediately called and complained to the manager about my food and she sent me 2 manager gift cards in the mail for me. I usually don't have any issues with Applebees but lately I haven't been satisfied 🙁 2 weeks later this is what I purchased with the $30 gift cards....👌👍

    I'd give a 0 if it were an option. Ordered drinks and food at the same time. Got drinks, had a second drink and 45 minutes later, no food. After speaking to the manager, 1 meal came out but 2nd meal didn't. No apology, no comp, nothing. We paid our drink bill and took our money elsewhere. This Applebee's could care less. BTW, they were well staffed. We'll not be back!

    Had the Quesadilla Burger, it was Great. The Chips and Salsa at this location is the best. Tiffany was my bartender / Server and she was Fantastic. Rosemary the GM came over and I told her that the salsa is much better here than any other Applebee's in Grand Rapids. Thanks Rosemary for a great experience from all the way to the staff.

    Wonderful experience. I placed a complex order by phone and everything was delicious! It was ready for pickup on time. The coleslaw was missing but we had so many tasty sides we had plenty to eat. The Honey BBQ sauce is a family favorite and those baby back ribs melt in your mouth!
