WOW! Such a fun experience! We got the boat ride to tour Kandy lake. It's really cheap and was expecting a lot more really! Our guide showed us some nice things around the lake and we even got to spot a giant lizard (probably the size of a crocodile). It was a really fun experience and you get to take great pictures of Kandy , temple of the tooth relic and various hotels around the lake. It only takes 20 minutes and really great fun!

Joy Boat Service for Kandy lake is popular among local and foreign travelers. they have several boats and they will 200 rupees per person. Minimum of 10 persons should be there. Travel time will be around 20 minutes. this is a good experience especially for children and they love it. safety is guaranteed with experienced staff.

It was a really good boat ride. I went with my wife and we paid for the whole boat for the ride and it was only 2500. I suggested that every foreigner should try that boat ride in kandy. It was unforgettable and the sceneries I saw was really beautiful. The guy who operated the boat was really friendly and he explained me everything about kandy lake and story of kandy kingdom. And he took beautiful pictures of me and my wife as well. I went on it twice cause it’s worth it and it’s something someone shouldn’t miss in their journey to Kandy. Yeah

A must get experience at Kandy however the boat riders and the organizers act like they give more money to us for the boat ride. So rude to people and no good customer service at all. Social distancing is also not practicing.

This boat service is very old and the safety is assured with experienced boatmen. They charge LKR 2,000/= per ride. (NOT per person!!!) Very good feeling and children love it!! The boatman was very friendly and proactively stopped the boat at couple of places to take photographs and was detailing about the history, endemic fauna flora as well.

It was an okay boat ride. Rs.1000 per person for locals. Just a one off thing to do if you are visiting Kandy. Make sure you take an umbrella because you never know when I might rain in the middle of the ride. They do not have any cover.
