There's a lot to do at the park; canoeing, hanging out at a picnic site, going on nature walks. They also have cabins to rent. Today I went on the White Trail and it was full of spring beauties, maple roots, fresh strawberries, and violets. It's an easy hour or so long loop, with low to no elevation change for like 98% of it. Some parts are along the Potomac River. The views are lovely as are the flowers.

Nice place to sit by the Potomac. On weekends, bring your own chair. There are on lead dogs around, plenty of space for kids to run around, folks having picnics and a boat ramp for the boaters.

20230729 Haven't been here in over 5 years. The plants on the trail by the river have grown quite large. The trail is a lot more narrow than before. Unfortunately, it started thundering, and we got out before the rain arrived. This is a great park with a lot of activities for all ages from golf, water park, hiking, biking, boating, soccer, ... to dog walking. I love that it is along the river, and the view is beautiful regardless of the season. The only complain I have is that the trail can be muddy after rain or snow. I wish it is covered with mulch or something so that my feet aren't sinking in mudd. My In the Summer, in warmer seasons, there are lots of strings of cobwebs on the trail. Some part of the parking area is covered with small grovels. Overall, it is a great park.

Very good park for picnic. Not much of long walk trails. The Views of Potomac from here are amazing and so beautiful. Unlinke the rapids of Greatfalls, the river runs lazily here that it feels almost sleepy and beautiful. The picnic area is large with a lot of picnic tables placed at good distance from each other to provide the picnic goers their own space. The space was enogh for us to play vollyball, badminton, cricket, although there were large groups not too far from us, but still it didnt feel crowded even a bit. There are plenty of large trees providing ample shade to picnic areas. The trail we took was not too wide and had bushes around but there were many scenic spots. The deers were walking around leasurely and not scared or bothered by hundreds of humans present there. Overall a beautiful place for a fun picnic. I would have given 5 stars if the trails were a bit more elaborate.

The park has great trails, golf, water park, and boat launch onto the Potomac. Launching in the evening, you can catch great sunsets or shots of the moon.

I went here to attend a high school graduation party for a family member and this amazing park blew me away. It was beautiful and well kept. The views of the Potomac were beautiful. There were lots of families there grilling, hanging out and having a good time. It was a very peaceful park with lots of shaded walking space. I like getting a good walk in when I have a chance. Had a splash park which some attendees enjoyed (at and extra fee) and a clean lavatory building. I'd like to return one day to fully explore the park.

Huge park with lots of different activities for all age groups. We went here in an open park birthday party. Kids & babies enjoyed the park slides, swings etc, bunch of stuff for them. Lots of tree & shades with benches spaciously put in to give your own space. Shelter areas can be reserved in advance for private parties. Bring you boats & kayaks to have fun in river. The river water & banks are clean.

We had 2 back to back family reunions using the Volcano Island Waterpark Shelter so everyone could enjoy family while ha ing fun with all of the other available activities. It was truly enjoyable, fun for all ages. Also I rented the 4 bedroom 2 bath Cottage/ Cabin to stay with friends & family for a week. This was one of the most relaxing, peaceful weeks of my life even after a weekend reunion. Algonkian Regional Park is all around amazing & the people who work there are the best & most helpful. This was the second family reunion we have had at the wonderful facilities run by the extremely helpful & nice staff. This will always be one of my best memories. Reed was so helpful throughout the entire process from making reservations to helping with group rates at the Water Park. He is the best.

There are multiple trails with many benches near them. There are also a lot of fields close to the trails. They also have places where you can go on the water on your boat. There is also a water park, a mini golf course, and a golf course in the park.

Cabins are very nice at a great price. The park it's is full of wildlife, very clean and peaceful. The design does a good job at balancing natural landscape and wilderness with fun activities. Something for everyone here.

We love this place! It's great for a walk or a picnic. The playground is very fun - with several slides that were good for my 2 year old and several that were for the bigger kids. They also had swings, climbing structures, and a sandbox. Lots of parking and seasonal bathrooms during the warmer months.

Good parking. Well defined trails. Great views of the Potomac River. Many picnic areas. Kids enjoying the playground. Didn't see a bathroom but it must be somewhere, Park is too busy/big not to have one 🙂

Beautiful park with a lot of gorgeous natural space. The lake is serene and the cabins are nice, and the soccer fields are well-maintained.

A great place for some flat water kayaking. You can get a seasonal shore launch ticket at the pro shop up in the main building. It's good for many other NOVA Parks as well.

Very nice park with lots of different activities. Trails are good but lesser paths can be slightly over grown. It is also mostly flat. Right (July) now the deer flies are out in force so be forewarned. Otherwise, very nice park and get back to nature. I can imagine on weekends this place would fill up but during the week nice and quiet.

This park is a gem in NoVA. Fishing/boating ramp, water sports like rowing, great and easy hiking trails, picnic shelters, grills, golfing and wide open space for frisbees, throwing balls, outdoor picnics. Totally family friendly. Just needs more public bathrooms.

Very nice course. Great and kind people look to make sure you have a great experience. Greens are in good shape. Fairways were wet today so we played forward tees. For a course that doesn't have many elevation changes it is still picturesque. We will be going again.

Went with Loudoun Kayaking group from Algonkian down through Seneca breaks rapids and back up the canal, such fun! The launch area and parking are excellent and the facilities are plentiful and we'll maintained.

Good course. Public course. Some rough areas. No cart service or marshall. Limited food options. Deer are unfazed by the humans. Could hear the kids having a great time at the water park nearby. Cart was hit by a drive from players behind us. They did apologize...greens where challenging. Cold water around course on a hot and humid day was nice.

This is a beautiful less crowded place to spend beautiful time in solitude or can come here with friends to enjoy picnic time. It has water park little inside and can be stayed on the river side as beautiful huts are available with all kind of facilities.
