To say that the 3-day hike with Yola was amazing, wouldn't be enough to describe the rich experience we had! I was travelling alone and joined a group of other 5 travelers and Yola, the shop owner, for the 2-night and 3-day hike from Kalaw to Inle Lake. Yola cooks amazing food, takes the time to explain local traditions and even carved for each of us a present using bamboo!! I cannot recommend the experience enough to other travellers who are looking for a fun and challenging experience! The hike is not easy, especially during rainy season when some roads are very moody, but Yola made it fun and enjoyable for everyone (there was a 10 years old boy in the group). Thank you so much!!!

I highly recommend Yola Trekking. Yola's knowledge and interpretation of the culture and environment of the area is exceptional. He was enthusiastic in answering all questions we had about the customs and nature around us. The biggest surprise, however, was the food! He cooked and introduced us to many foods of the area. I felt like I was eating a 3 course meal EVERY meal. It was spectacular. If you are in the area, definitely go trekking with Yola Trekking.

I contacted Yola at the last minute and he managed to put together a half-day trek for me the next day, with Rosie. Wasn't sure which company I wanted to go with initially so I thought I would check them out when I arrived in Kalaw, but my train got delayed and I thought I would give Yola a shot anyway. I was very pleased - Rosie was professional, friendly and knew her way around, and also attentive, making sure to offer a hand and she kept checking that I was okay, matching her pace to mine. Really glad that I chose them, it made my visit to Kalaw memorable and I can't wait to return! Also sat down with them at their office after the trek and had a good chat, everyone is warm, friendly and speaks good English. I'm sure you won't regret choosing them for your trek in Kalaw. The company is relatively new, but the guides are experienced and reliable. I've been on a few treks so I know - choosing the right company can make or break your experience. Very authentic experience with a small group. Kham is a very nice guide, he knows a lot about the territory and explain a lot about the plants and the life in Myanmar. The food was amazing, a lot of fresh fruit. Best experience in Myanmar.

We had booked our trekking with Yola Trekking and our guides were Mike and Putu. They were just wonderful 😍😍😍 We have chosen non turistic route which we recommend everyone who wants to see real life of people who are living in this region. Guides have incredible knowledge about culture, habits, history and know how to tell it to attract You :) everything was just perfect - trip itself, views, food 😍😍😍😍, people, green tea on the field with locals, festival we could joined.
