We had good experience here, they showed process of making food. We went inside the village to see their way of life. The owner was friendly and nice.

Brilliant little place that organizes a kind of food preparation tour through the village. Owner / guide Yam is super friendly and speaks great English. After letting you taste some of the signature fried yellow tofu he takes you around and shows how the villagers prepare all kinds of sweets and local foods that they sell on the market. Doesn't have the fake feel like all the "local industries" on Inle Lake. Free of charge but a donation is expected of course. We gave 5,000 kyat each. No need to reserve or call ahead or anything, just show up and he'll start the tour whenever you're ready. Doesn't matter if you're just a group of two. He will also get you a boat transfer across the lake with your bicycles.

Tofu palace is an authentic local food tour. You visit different areas of the village to see how they make 22 different kinds of foods. The tour was a highlight of our day and we really enjoyed meeting the villagers and seeing how they make a lot of the local foods you see for sale at the markets. Proceeds go to support the village. Highly recommend.

Lovely tour Very friendly guide, delicious and unique. They were able to organise a crossing of the river for me and my bicycle. All that for a reasonable price!

Grab a bike, ride to Khaungdaing Village, look for the Tofu Palace sign (it's on google maps as well). Make sure you're hungry because you'll be tasting so many different snacks all absolutely delicious, while visiting the families producing them. It's one of the best, most authentic things to do in Inle. Make sure to tip well at the end. The guide can help you get a boat to the other side of the lake with your bike as well.

Great little tour of a village where they make everything by hand! The value is amazing as you get to see every part of what the villagers do and even try all the delicious tofu! Please go and support this wonderful family and everything they do! Also you can cross the lake here by boat and it’s a very good price!

If you just found this and you are in Khaung Dine like us just go there and do the 45 minute tour! It is amazing! Your guide will go with you into different houses in the village where you can see how people make tofu, rice snacks, sticky rice flakes, roasted peanuts, flavored sun flower seads, deep fried snacks like little donuts and much more. The guide is very kind and explains everything. Until now one of our best tours in myanmar! It it is far too cheap if you ask me ;-) (3000 kyats per person - Oct 2018)

The tour guide was very good with English and told us all about the way they make tofu in his village. He was so informative and responsive to our questions. He took us to many places and let us sample some different products. After our tour and then some delicious fried tofu. All of this was very inexpensive, incredible value for our money.

Awesome experience. The tour through the village is a unique experience. You can see how they do all the food in manual processes and unique traditions in the world. You can try some of the great food. It doesn't have a price. In the end you donate what you want.
