I booked my trip online on the Compass Cove website. Over a month before my trip. I have an email confirmation of my reservation. I also called the night before my stay to verify my reservation and it was confirmed over the phone. After driving 4 hours the hotel called to tell me my reservation had been cancelled because my deposit wasn't paid. I didn't get the name of the person calling but she had no sympathy whatsoever!! She told me that they had tried to call me that morning but that was a lie!! When I asked to re-run my card for the deposit I was told my room was already given away and they had no other rooms available. I had booked a 3 bedroom unit and was staying with two other families. We were travelling there for a dance competition. Another family from our studio was staying there and had to move to 5 different rooms their first night because each room was nasty!! I would 100% never recommend this property to anyone. If you're looking for a nice stay, look into Myrtle Beach Resort, which is where we ended up staying.

Our family came to Compass Cove to enjoy Spring Break. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews but everything was great! Fast check in with a nice gentleman, our room was nice and big. The pools! Oh so many pools for my kids to enjoy! loved that they were all heated. The lady who makes sure the towels are all cleaned and stocked work her butt off, she was so friendly. We had a day outside laying out that some dumb kids were throwing food off the balcony and within 5 minutes we had some security guys knocking on their door having a chat about not throwing stuff off of there. The employees were so helpful. Great restaurants/coffee shop and breakfast buffet. Those waiters/waitresses were so kind. Thanks Compass Cove for a great vacation! Props to your employees!

Horrible horrible resort! The room we stayed at was so disgusting and torn down. The room door frame was falling off and couldn’t even close it half of the time! There was flies in the room and a bad smell coming from the bathroom! Housekeeping is a joke. No one ever came to clean our room or drop off fresh towels and remove trash. I requested multiple times which i was told someone will be there shortly which no one ever showed up. Oh and they charge a housekeeping fee which i went to fight about with the front desk and they told me they don’t do housekeeping ever since covid. Are you serious?! So when i wanted to speak to the manager i was told they were busy or not in that day. Straight up lie!!! Management does not want to talk to anyone because they know how bad this resort it. I was on the indigo building on the first floor right in front of the pool which i had booked a ocean view room but they had no rooms available for me to switch and i booked months in advance! Check-in was a night mare! Front desk staff were so unorganized. The elevators never worked. By far the worst experience i have ever had. First and last time coming here!!

We have stayed here for at least 4 yrs in a row in November it's our birthday gift to ourselves and also they are pet friendly after 11/1/each year. we have always had a great time love the hot tubs and heated pools. I just am not so happy with the room we had it was 422 in the Schooner building, there was no silverware to make my coffee no cups for water, and it just seams a little run down. we always loved the Pinnacle. It is located in a great part of the beach, not sure if we are going to try staying here again.

My family and I will NEVER stay there again. Do not waste your money. We were supposed to stay 4 nights but left after 2. We have a 3 year old daughter and it is not kid friendly at all. Not a good environment for a family with kids. This is not like us to complain, because we are usually very adaptable and very easy to please. But we felt completely unsafe here with our 3 year old daughter. We wanted a relaxing vacation but it put us more on edge. Both nights we stayed, we did not sleep because people were beating doors in the middle of the night, shooting fireworks off right in front of the condo on the beach until 1am(front desk said they couldn’t help), police had been called, people getting arrested on the street in front of condo, and people screamed excessively in the rooms around us. People were beating on railings and running in the hallways in middle of the night. The bathtub wouldn’t drain, the bathroom door was completely off the hinges, the shower handle was broken, the bathroom light flickered excessively, the fridge leaked and the floor was dirty. The AC in the living room barely works and our daughter slept in there. The water pressure was almost nothing in all faucets. We had to circle the parking lot for 20 minutes minimum to find a spot. The floors in the hallway are absolutely disgusting. It was not what we paid for and it was nowhere close to what we were expecting.

Rooms and house keeping isn't really worth all the hype... definitely wouldn't give it more than 3 stars.. we had a roach on our room! Couldn't get a broom to sweep we asked for 3 days! Air was not working properly so we bought fans! Beds are very hard! Friday and Saturday rooms fill up with hoodlums (smoking weed, not watching their kids) elevators were broke we wait 45 minutes for an elevator to take our stuff to our room.. they didn't want to give fresh towels or toilet paper nor dish detergent or soap for the dish washer... we stayed in the 3bed 2 bath condo... the view helped in getting 3 stars.. I believe most of these ratings were paid for.. Coral beach resort is a better option

I’m currently here. It’s been nothing short of disappointing. Check in was quick and easy, and we did feel welcome. However, upon arrival to the room, the door was sticky and recently painted, which we were not informed of. I got paint all over my hands. Even the maintenance worker was surprised we were in this room and said nobody was supposed to be in here. It doesn’t stop there, the door didn’t lock. You could push it right open. Maintenance came up and took about an hour to fix. But wait there’s more… we went out the next day and came back to our door open and the maintenance crew inside our room. No permission asked. We had no idea and we’re very surprised to come back to that. There was no silverware in the kitchen area. We have had to call down to the front desk at least 3 times for miscellaneous items that should be in the room already. The beds are so uncomfortable. The room is dirty.. the hallways are filthy. Make sure you know which tower you are staying in before you book. Very disappointed in this place. The pictures are nowhere near accurate with the way the hotel actually looks. We’re two days into a four day stay, I can only imagine what issues we will run into next.

The rooms are huge. Well kept. Very clean. The entire property was well kept up. The pools were very warm and the environment around the pools was also well heated. Anything we needed they were offering to help. I used to give all my Myrtle Beach business to another hotel not too far from Compass Cove, and I didn't think I'd ever change to another property. So damn glad I did. The price is beyond competitive. Just an overall terrific place to go.

Just got back from our wonderful week away. Everyone we encountered was friendly and personable. The rooms do need some updating but everything we needed was provided for us. We stayed in the schooner jr. suite and it was perfect for us. The kitchen was adequately stocked and we had a full size fridge and stove. We got coffee each morning at Compass Joe's and the lady working was lovely and knew my order when I came down. We ate the breakfast buffet and definitely recommend going at least once. We were very pleased and plan to go back next year.

Really enjoyed the amenities and the hotel. Eight of us stayed in a three bedroom with an oceanfront front view. The room was as expected and had plenty of space for all of us. Kitchen was stocked well with cups, plates, coffee maker, utensils and a dishwasher. The room even had a washer and dryer. Most of the staff we interacted with were amazing. They have a few places to eat on sight with reasonably priced food and drinks.

I enjoyed Compass Cove for a few reasons! The car garage with the elevator in it is really a good feature. I liked the abundance of rest rooms, and the pool/patio decks were easy and accessible. Breakfast was good, plenty of options to choose from. The quality of breakfast is.. so-so. Wet eggs, floppy bacon.. but the next day it’s great. So it’s I guess depending on which staff is in the kitchen. The kitchen staff/waitresses are so friendly and don’t mind grabbing something for you if you need it! So friendly and definitely made the breakfast experience even better. Now, the cons. In my specific unit, the toilet upon arrival would not flush properly and the plunger became needed every other flush. The room upon entering smelled of that wet, musty scent.. it went away within a few hours of masking it by venting/running AC and opening the sliding door. The carpet in the unit/on the balcony had the bottoms my feet stained brown badly DAILY. I am not sure if it’s always like this or I just stayed at the wrong time. Closet door was off tracks and propped against the wall, just small things like that were in our room. The outdoor pool area has panels that won’t close at the top of the enclosure, making it really cold on the inside of the heated pool area (apparently it has been that way since the last hurricane). and this could deter some people from swimming in the snowbird season. Only 1 hot tub worked out of the two indoor ones the duration of my stay (5 days). Other than that, staff was so friendly, and I mean many of the maintenance/housekeeping and others employed (Compass Cove uniforms) were really kind and didn’t hesitate to welcome you or wish you a good day. All in all, it was a nice experience. Some of my review may not be accurate if updates are made/summer season approaches, but it’s what happened during my stay.

I never received a confirmation email. When we got there, they gave us a totally different room than I booked online. I have stayed here so many times. I’ve sent so many people to this hotel. This has been the worst experience there. We were sent to the indigo party. The room faced the street. We didn’t get the amount of beds we booked. So, 3 children and 2 adults were stuck with one bed and 1 raggedy pull out bed. I never come to the oceanfront beach resort and get a street view. That’s crazy. I’m never going to the beach to NOT look at the beach. THE FLOORS WERE SO SANDY. I took one of the towels wet it and cleaned the whole floor. The vent in the bathroom was so caked with dust. That was pitiful. This part of the whole hotel looks nothing like the other buildings at all. They would not move our room. Only because of this one experience I would never go or suggest anyone else to go. I don’t know if new management. My family and I are so disappointed in Compass Cove.

We scheduled for 6 nights. We left after the second night. We woke up in the middle of the night to hundreds of roaches in the kitchen, bedroom and living room. The people and employees were great. Our room was booked through vrbo so the hotel folks wouldn't do anything. The room was in Pinnacle Towers room 552. Never stay here again. Also never rent from the condo company Rent in Myrtle.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The first I loved it. This time I decided to bring the family with us. We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite. Loved the room size! HOWEVER, we found 3 roaches in our hotel room. I went downstairs to let them know but nothing else was said or done so I just went on about my business. Also, I was accidentally charged $1100 and did not realize it until 10pm that night. It was a slight inconvenience because I had kids with me that wanted to do activities but I could not. Luckily they fixed this very quickly the next day and was able to enjoy the rest of the trip. I don't think I will be staying here anymore. I wish they would update this hotel.

Rooms were not ready at check in for us and several other members of our group. We waited several hours after the agreed upon check in causing an inconvenience for our plans. No apologies, no effort to make it right. Very dated rooms. When we got our room there was visible dirt and old food on the floors, tables, kitchenette. Bed sheets had not been changed. Trash was still in the room. Location is the only good part of this experience being on the beach. This is why Myrtle Beach has a bad reputation. Dirty and gross.

After a 10 hour long car ride, we got to the hotel right at check in (4:00) and we were told that our room wasn’t ready and they would call us when it was. This put us behind schedule. We waited an hour and I called them and was told it was ready. Good thing I called! We go to check in and we waited in line for another half hour. I let them know I was irritated by this and nothing was done to compensate. I understand this kind of stuff happens but I noticed other guests were getting free breakfast vouchers and we got nothing. Once getting to our room, it was actually pretty decent aside from the 3 roaches which again I understand that kind of stuff happens but still gross. The staff at the bar and tiki shack were both great. I just feel like more could have been done when I paid good money for a room at 4:00 and it wasn’t ready and it messed up our first day there.

Since the start of the pandemic, my husband and I have not been on a vacation because I work as a RN. This year, we were determined to finally take one. My husband had never been to Myrtle Beach, I searched and researched for the perfect place. I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but decided we would try it out nonetheless. The location was perfect! Our room provided a beautiful view of the beach. We enjoyed the family atmosphere of the Compass Nest as well as the Tiki Bar. The service was great. The Compass Rose had amazing breakfast. We have nothing but great memories! It was nice to just walk a few feet onto the beach. The only downside was the length of time it took to check in..

During the check in process, employees were discussing the theft of Amazon packages and guest mail. This incident raised serious doubts about the security and integrity of the establishment (the employees were discussing opening guests mail)The troubles continued when we were assigned to a room in the Indigo Tower, the room had a leaky ceiling, leaving us with a significant puddle on the floor, and a malfunctioning door that did not lock properly, making us feel vulnerable and unsafe. We were moved to a room in the Pinnacle Tower, infested with cockroaches, with sightings not limited to our room but also in the stairwell and by the indoor pool. Furthermore, the state of cleanliness in the rooms was disgusting. The bed sheets were stained with physical dirt and other substances, the shower was discoloured with dirt. It seemed that cleanliness was far from a priority for the hotel. There were multiple elevator breakdowns, forcing us to choose between the remaining elevators, or navigating the cockroach-infested stairwell. Our efforts to bring these issues to the attention of the hotel staff were met with a disappointing lack of responsiveness. Our concerns were brushed off with empty assurances that they would be "passed on," with no visible actions taken to address the problems. The disparity between the online pictures and the actual state of the hotel was alarming. In light of all these issues, a 1-star rating is a generous assessment. This was an experience marred by discomfort, inconvenience, and disappointment, and I strongly advise against choosing this hotel for your stay.

We went to Compass Cove for the weekend and stayed in room 623 which is a two bed 2 bathroom apartment with a laundry in unit as well as a fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. The master room had a king size bed and the other rooms had two separate beds for my two children. Perfect for a family of four or even 5 since they also have a pull out couch. The room we stayed in was very clean and put together and loaded with everything we needed such as toilet paper and extra towels. They provided laundry detergent and dish soap for the dishwasher. the AC was working just fine. They have so many pools and hot tubs for all age groups. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes. I was skeptical because the reviews weren't so great, but I am glad we chose this place. The staff was so nice and friendly. We had a blast! AND WOULD DEFINATELY GO AGAIN.

I stayed here a couple days ago for my first time and I was pleased. Tasha had great customer service. She even had a room available early for us which I was so appreciative. There was a maintenance issue with the room door so they had to switch us to another room that was dirty but the housekeeper was so nice and didn’t mind cleaning it while we hung out somewhere. We stayed in the indigo building with an updated room. The parking lot to the indigo building was empty so easy parking. The ocean view was perfect. We did not use any of amenities or walk around the facility so I can not review it as a whole. It is about a 10 min drive to the boardwalk.

Just arrived yesterday I honestly was really excited to see the rooms expecting them to be nice. When I got in the room it wasn't really like the picture I mean it was but not as clean as it. I found a pair of mens boxers in the dresser. And there were stains on the couch, dust all over the lamps. But besides the rooms, The workers are quite nice and everything that comes with this hotel is Absolutely amazing! Especially for kids/teens! the pools are nice and clean and the food and coffee is quite nice too. Also a very nice view.

The resort was well kept and clean. The pools and hot tubs were very nice. There was a large assortment of pools to choose from, including indoor and outdoor pools and lazy rivers. The water slides closed a little too often for our liking. It was hard to find a time when they were open. The room was nice. Pretty standard. We were on the 11th floor on an ocean facing room with a balcony. We switched out from the "ocean view" room on the main floor because it was more of a parking lot view and no ocean. The room came with an apartment size oven, but some of the cookware provided didn't even fit in the oven, which was ridiculous. The smoke detector was almost directly above the oven, which made it go off every time we cooked. So be aware of that. Poor design. The stay included 8 free breakfast vouchers for their on-site breakfast buffet, which was pretty standard. The food was delicious. There was also a bar on the second floor, which we did not attend. I would recommend staying here and we will likely return.

We liked the location as it wasn't so traffic busy, but still easy to get to nearby attractions. The complex seems nice for all ages (grandchildren loved it), restaurants were very good, very easy access to the beach, plenty of pools if you're not a beach person, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Only negative was the elevators. We had to wait sometimes up to 10 minutes and almost every day there was an elevator out of order. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Great place. We will stay here again. Some pros: very large rooms, updated furnishing and bathroom, large balcony, numerous pools and hot tubs, pool slides and kiddie water play areas, great breakfast buffet, and nice large beach area. We also loved the wrist bands that doubled as your room key. Some cons: the beds were a little hard, the water temperature for the sinks didn't seem to have a temperature limit and could go extremely hot (safety issue with little ones). Overall it was a great stay.

Like other reviews it was hard to give more than 2 stars. Let me start with the positive. The staff was fantastic. The pool amenities were great plenty to choose from but the deck area is crowded. Now for the negatives. Rooms were clean but extremely dated and worn out. Holes in all of the furniture. Beds were horrible lumpy loud springs you could feel and hear with every move. We didn't get a decent nights sleep the entire stay. Air-conditioning was to cold in some rooms hot in the master had to buy fans as well to circulate the air. The view was not up to expectations. Great view of the ocean and the top of the building in front of the Mariner complete turn off. Elevator constantly being worked on making it difficult to go anywhere. Our entrance door broke and had to be fixed on our last day. We had to wait almost an hour to get back in our room to get our things to leave. The other part of our party stayed in the Pinnacle building same terrible air-conditioning issues but couldn't get clean towels they had to go to the desk everyday. The constant smell of weed while out on the balcony didn't help matters either. Needless to say we wont be returning. Caribbean Resort is a much better option.

I have absolutely 0 negatives to say about this place. Our rooms were clean, the ocean view was perfect, only think I wish there was that was different is more than one hot tub. The breakfast was AMAZING!! Tasted like it was made from scratch, and it was AMAZING. I loved this place and will end up staying here again. 😊

We had a very nice room, nice and clean, kitchen was missing a few utensils though, glad we brought a few from home just in case. They have a wonderful buffet breakfast. Our only issue was with the elevators. One worked occasionally, or not at all. and some got stuck on it for awhile, while maintenance was working on it, noticed it had been well over a year since last inspection. We have stayed there 4 straight years around Thanksgiving when rates were down.

Cons: None of the entry points to the hotel that someone should have had a bracelet to enter were working! Someone could walk in from the street and go right to your room door. The rooms are absolutely filthy. This property is not what it was decades ago. A property can be outdated and old while still being clean. There was mold and hair all over the wall air units. The upholstery and dust ruffles on the beds were visibly stained and crusty. The drapery was stained and/or dirty. These are just a few examples of the uncleanliness we observed. The manager inspected the room with us and got us a new room and even agreed that the new room’s sheets needed to be changed. A housekeeper came and changed them. It was better, but if it hadn’t been so late-we would have gotten other accommodations. We took extra bedsheets and draped them over the couch and chair so we would feel better about sitting on them. We will never stay here again. Positives: the breakfast buffet area was surprisingly clean, the breakfast staff was efficient, and the food was tasty.

I stayed in the King ocean front efficiency, the room was very clean and the bathroom was immaculate, I loved the way they laid the towels out! Some of the metal was rusty but I know that it’s from the salt water so that’s not fault on the hotels part! I absolutely loved the view and the bar that was inside; also the Starbucks staff was nice and friendly — when we checked in the staff was welcoming and informative, the only thing that was aggravating was the parking across the street for the extra parking. Everything is close and we have a lovely time! We will definitely be returning!

We stayed in the schooner building 3rd floor oceanfront. Room was small and smelled musty.. I understand that the humidity right near the ocean is high.. however I've stayed in other oceanfront hotels that didn't smell. It seemed to be coming from the very nasty carpets. The rooms need to be updated badly. OK so with the bad out of the way... the breakfast buffet was very good.. the pool and deck areas were very nice and the tiki bar was great. Great views and good location. Staff was friendly. With all that said I would not stay here again. The rooms were pretty bad and did I mention the smell?. I talked with other guests about the rooms and they also said the rooms smelled bad... they're better choices that are updated at a similar price range in Myrtle Beach.

Although we were here for down season the staff was pleasant and attentive when needed. The accommodations were comfortable and felt like you were home. Units are great for a family and clean. I am already ready for my next trip here. KUDOS 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽

Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but comfortable. We were there on vacation, didn't plan on being inside much. We stayed in the Schooner building with the lazy river directly below us and a fantastic view of the ocean. There were daily family friendly activities. Parking was on the deck attached directly to our floor. An overall extremely satisfying vacation.

Great rooms but the a/c in our room was not working properly. The rooms had plenty of space and very nice kitchen setup with dish washer. The ocean view room had a big roof below us and the building was blocking the rest of the view we couldn't even see the sand. But overall very nice place to stay. And definitely kid friendly make sure u visit the kids side of the pools. Make sure u go to each part of the hotel bc it all has something to offer. And definitely stop by the bar and get a voodoo drink and the bar tender us extremely cool!!!

This was the worst place ever. The rooms were dirty, and ceilings had black stains all over it. The balcony had black and green mold with water running from the air conditioner. We could not get a shower curtain until the next day. We had to wait for over five hours to get clean washing clothes and towels. Housekeeping was terrible. They did not clean/ touch up rooms, nor came to see if we needed anything at all. This place needs to be shut down!! Zero stars!!!!!

Great stay! I loved the beach access! I hardly used any of the amenities provided by the resort. Other people really enjoyed the indoor pool, outdoor pool, and outdoor patio deck. Personally, I enjoyed having a kitchen with immediate access to the ocean with a spectacular view. I need to come back here!

Checking in was slow as counter agents switched stations, went in the back, and took people out of order. There was a hair in the bathtub and another on the baseboard in the bathroom. Finally, we were guests Wednesday through Friday, but maid service never brought clean towels or checked the room. We had to go purchase our own toilet paper when we ran out. We loved the close proximity of the hotel to the ocean and the availability of lounge chairs by the pool.

Check in took right at an hour. The employees working at registration were a mix of extremely polite and extremely rude, almost hostile individuals. So many people were having issues ranging from other people being in their room to reservations not being able to be located to no record of them having paid for their stay even though they produced emails showing it was paid. The process was chaotic and started our trip off on a bad note. Waiting an hour to check in is beyond unacceptable. The room was much smaller than I anticipated, the photos are misleading. The bathroom was so tiny you barely had any room to dry off after a shower. The floors were so disgustingly dirty, I bet they haven't been mopped in at least a year or more. Our feet and socks were so gross every day. We were so excited to leave and head to a clean hotel at the end of our stay. The only plus of this resort other than it's location on the beach is the large cat colony that is on site. We enjoyed looking for new cats every day we were out.

I visit myrtle every year. This hotel experience with Compass Cove was TERRIBLE!! We arrived nearly an hour after our check-in time (4pm) they did not have my room ready. I told them I had twin infants and a toddler hungry and tired from the drive. They did not care! They did not have my room ready until 7pm!! We got settled in our room finally and the floors turned all of our feet black. On top of that they never serviced my room. I made multiple calls to try to get someone to bring us towels, dish soap, cookware (there was none in my room with a stove) etc. They never brought me a single thing. I had to go buy everything I needed for cooking. I was so upset from the whole experience that I wanted to leave a day early, asked for a refund for that day. They refused. We left anyways. Every single employee I spoke to was rude. I promise you can find something better, cleaner and more accommodating than this place. It’s not worth it!!

I would advise against staying in the Schooner part of the hotel. My family and I stayed in the Schooner building of the hotel for my moms birthday vacation. The room was less than average. Old rusty/dirty appliances, water damage on ceiling in bathroom, dust on air conditioner, dirty carpet. The room was clearly not maintained. Definitely not what the pictures portrayed online of any of the rooms portrayed of the Schooner building. The cleaning staff at the end of our stay were obnoxious and kept knocking on our door several times (very early) even though it was nowhere close to check out time. Parking was okay. If there is no parking at your building you have to park across the street in another parking deck that feels somewhat unsafe. However, the breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff were so nice. The staff was friendly in the front office as well. The amenities were nice. Overall, room was below average (although the view was great) so were the cleaning staff. However, front office staff and the breakfast/amenities were awesome. Recommend but don’t stay in Schooner building or if you do request a newer room.

Overall the stay was adequate for the price we paid via Expedia. We checked in later in the day around 7pm and did have a short wait. The elevators were a consistent problem as two of them were down. It was quicker to walk 7 flights of steps than to wait for the elevator. The room was adequately clean my only complaint was there was frozen chicken left in the freezer and what looked liked pen stains on the sheets. The mattress was somewhat uncomfortable but not terrible. When walking through the hallways there were a lot of trash bags that housekeeping did not get to. Overall the hotel was fine when compared to other beach front hotels in the area.

The room was good, minus the beds. They were the most uncomfortable beds we had ever slept on. Needless to say, we didn't sleep much. Overall, the room was good. Big kitchen area and nice big bed area. The room was right off the garage floor, so that was nice. We had an ocean view room, and it was a good view. It smelled clean when we walked in and looked clean. The downfall was that they only had 1 heated pool inside. And people there do not watch their children. So if you are looking to swim and enjoy yourself, it's not going to happen. They were constantly splashing and screaming. There is also no security, so nothing happens to those who have no respect for other people.

General review of resort is good. Common areas are clean and maintained. Room was not particularly clean. Carpet felt very dirty. No point in complaining to staff as I can’t imagine they can do much at that point. Staff were all courteous and professional. Pool area was clean If you don’t want to be around smoking and Weed, I’d not go here. Couldn’t use our balcony as we either got second hand cigarette smoke or more commonly weed!! Coffee shop was over priced. $3+ for a bottle of water. Cabana at the pool overpriced as well. Unnecessary expensive for drinks and food. Parking was tough. Didn’t seem to be monitored. This resort also has quite a few dogs around.

We stayed in 3 bedroom oceanfront room. Room looks runned down. We rented a week, but we’re only planning on staying through Tuesday. Was woken up at 7am to drilling and hammering outside of our room. Room had the bare minimum of necessities. Couches and smelled like smoke. Beds were hard, linens were cheap and scratchy. Towels were great. Couches were horrible. Room advertised sleeper sofa, but sleeper sofa was wire tied so it couldn’t be used. Outer Door had a huge gap under it. Walls were scratched up. All of the staff that we passed were very friendly though. We stayed in the Mariner Building. We ate breakfast at the Compass Rose one morning. The staff was so friendly and although it was a buffet, they made the items we requested and brought them to us fresh and hot.The staff is great, room was clean but quality of room was more like a budget range room in a 1-2 star hotel.
