A beautiful cathedral that is well-maintained. You feel this sense of divinity even when you just enter the cathedral grounds. Silence and sanctity is always observed inside the cathedral. The adoration chapel provides one the environment to delve into deep prayer. A must-see if you ever go to Mysore!

It's a beautiful church. Even if you're from another religion, I'd recommend you to visit this place. Absolute beauty. It feels like something out of France. Also, there is a missionary school where children of all religions gather and learn

A very beautiful monument. Inspite of the busy roads on the outside, the cathedral on the inside is very peaceful. Beautifully designed and constructed. One of the best churches I’ve seen till date. Parking facility is also available for free and there are no entry charges as well.

The architecture is very beautiful. It is one of the largest churches in India. There is no entry free to the church. The prayer room is nice and quiet. You need to maintain silence inside the church and footwear is not allowed. There is enough parking space for vehicles. The church campus is neat and well maintained.

Since it's a sacred place phones and pictures are not allowed inside. There is a underground inside the church and the way leads you to the backside of the church. Went here in 2017. Such a great and magnificent church. The architecture is brilliant. You can't take photos inside. But I took some. Don't care about it. The church is great. It is a calm place. I'm a Hindu but I kneeled before Jesus and prayered like Christian. There is a well like place I remember to throw coins and money. Must visit while visiting mysore

This church is Recognized as the second tallest church of Asia, St. Philomena's Church was constructed to pay tribute to the Catholic Saint and martyr of Roman Catholic Church, Saint Philomena. It is one of the most important historical sites in Mysore and is frequently visited by tourists from all over the country. Being one of the most distinctive landmarks of the city, it looks even more beautiful in the evening sky and is given religious importance having a Neo-Gothic style of architecture which makes it all the more famous amongst masses. This church attracts so many tourists because of its architecture The best architecture I have ever visited. This church is so cool and calm. St. Philomena's Cathedral at Mysore is a great place to visit. Main thing, they have kept the entry free of cost. The architecture of the church is very grand and looks like any European church. They have provided parking space for cars behind the church. It's a very quite and peaceful place. We can sit on the benches and e joy peace of mind. There is a basement with few places of worship and one can exit through the narrow lane to the rear gate of church. There was no restriction on photography. They have kept the place clean. It's a unique architecture where there are 3 halls, one in front and other two on the either sides of the Pulpit (where Father stands for preaching). People can pray from all three sides (cross ➕ like structure). The colorful light rays enter the church from the stained glass windows of the church. It's a Beautiful church. It will be a little crowded on the weekend. Free parking lot available.

That was Christmas Day in 2022. Had been to this very old famous church in Mysore city to witness the Christmas Day celebration and decorations at the church. It was very much crowded and neatly arranged. The decorations were awesome. The premises was near and clean. So much of people were visiting to witness the day. There was so many attractions created to engage the visitors.

A perfect tribute to Princess Filumena. St. Philomena is a Latin Catholic saint and martyr of the Roman Catholic Church. She was a young Greek princess martyred in the 4th century. A church at the same location was built in 1843 by Maharaja Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar. The Maharaja of Mysore laid the foundation stone of the church on 28 October 1933. One will be in awe of this structure. The style perfectly blends with the local culture. Also the place is very peaceful and clearly appears to be taken good care of. Useful Tip - Don't buy anything from vendors outside they just lie and charge you higher. You can get same wooden toys and magnets half the price at other places like Vrindavan Garden, etc

With the fame of being one of the largest churches in India, this majestic church captivates everyone with its architectural excellence. So as i do too It also boasts of being the second largest church in Asia. Dedicated to Saint Philomena, St. Philomena’s Church is not only known for its architectural beauty and religious significance; it stands as an exemplary of secular viewpoint and the religious harmony which existed in Mysore. This can be seen from the fact that this church was built by Mysore ruler for the European residents in the city..

Again, no place of worship can be determined by the stars it receives because a religious place is about how one feels - spiritual or peaceful in such a place. St. Philomena's cathedral is one such place which I visit whenever I'm in Mysore. This church brings a sense of calm and peace. The church has a sufficient amount of parking available inside the premises. Mass is carried out in three languages - Kannada, Tamil and English - timings of mass and weekly prayers have been shared in pics.

This church is a must to visit place when in Mysore. This place is located at a big square overlooking the city. The building is in Gothic style and raised very high above the ground. The building is painted grey in colour. There is a crib inside the church. Crib is situated below the ground and the pathway to this is from centre of the church.

One of the best and must visit churches. If you are in Mysore please don’t miss out this beautiful place. It’s peaceful and built so well. You can feel the calmness here. We went on a moon and the place was empty and we had the entire time to pray and feel the positivity around. The church is huge and treat to eyes. There’s enough parking for cars and bikes around the church.

Mysore's St. Philomena's Cathedral is a breath-taking work of art. Its breathtaking neo-gothic architecture is evocative of European churches. The cathedral's enormous size and its elaborate stained glass windows produce a calm and majestic ambiance. Equally striking are the interior features, which include soaring columns and a serene atmosphere. This holy treasure displays the city's deep heritage and dedication. St. Philomena's Cathedral is a must-see for anybody interested in history or religion. It provides an amazing look into the city's spiritual and architectural past. Because of the design of the church, this location is ideal for photographing pictures in the old style. The town is overly crowded, and parking might be challenging. No charge to enter.

We went there early in the moring during my one day trip to Mysuru from Bengaluru. Located right in the city center, this old church is a peaceful sanctuary. Its stunning architecture and calm atmosphere create a unique, spiritual experience. Whether you're looking for some quiet reflection or simply appreciating the beautiful design, this church is a lovely escape from the city's hustle and bustle.

What a beautiful building, the construction is absolutely stunning. Was visiting this place for the first time at first I was a little confused if they have parking but for my luck they have ample of space for parking. The place is very well maintained and is very clean. The outsides have seen some recent restoration which is a good thing, the building is well maintained. The insides are also well maintained, the entire story of Jesus is lined on the walls in the form of paintings. There is a crypt at the bottom also where you can go and pay your respects. There is an old pipe organ on the top, just above the entrance, don’t miss seeing that.

Peaceful, clean, well maintained. I liked the architecture and the overall cleanliness of the place. The stained glass architecture inside the cathedral is especially good. Unfortunately, photography inside the cathedral is forbidden. But then, it is a place of worship and permitting photography inside would not be a good idea. Photography inside temples is also forbidden for the same reason. Please respect the sanctity of the cathedral and follow the rules.
