Firstly, the entrance is hard to find as the one on Google maps is incorrect. The correct one is the camping site listed on maps. The infrastructure is good and there's a 6km pathway which takes you inside. More than animals, it's a birder's park. Also the flora and fauna.

A Tranquil Retreat in Nature - Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary is a true haven for nature enthusiasts, offering a serene escape into the beauty of the jungle. Here's why my experience at this sanctuary was truly delightful: **Breathtaking Beauty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** The sanctuary is a stunning haven, with a dense and deep jungle that boasts a diverse array of trees and animals. The natural beauty of the surroundings is truly breathtaking. **Evening Safari Adventure: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** While our evening safari didn't lead to wildlife sightings, the experience of venturing into the jungle was memorable. The dense foliage and tranquility immersed us in the heart of nature. **Accommodation Variety: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary offers a range of accommodation options, from smaller tents to larger ones, allowing visitors to choose based on their preferences and budget. **Delicious Home-Cooked Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** The culinary experience at the sanctuary is a highlight. Offering a variety of food options, the home-cooked meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—are not only delicious but also reasonably priced. Your uploaded images provide a tempting glimpse of the culinary delights. **Reasonable Ticket Prices: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** The cost of tickets to explore this natural sanctuary is reasonable, making it accessible for all. It's an ideal destination for a memorable outing with friends and family. **Close-to-Nature Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary provides an amazing opportunity to connect with nature on a personal level. Good place for nature lovers. This place is reach in flora and fauna. Try to visit on weekends or holidays only because on weekdays no one visits this place. It feels scary on weekdays as its jungle and leopards are there. Although it's very large jungle area and you can't visit each place in a day, there are towers installed in some places where you can see view from top.

We reached late by 4.15 pm. So could not explore the place more. But if you are birds, animal, nature lover then this is place for you. Try to visit in a group than individual. Carry water, snacks in bag. Total area is 55 sqkm. Also there is facility to stay at entrance which starts from ₹.2000/- . Night safari is not allowed. 4 wheeler parking is ₹.195/-. One if the best wildlife sanctuary near Mumbai, Pune.

We saw only family of monkeys during day. It's spread is 52 sqmtr. Each trek trail is 6 Km one way. We reached 10am & left 2pm. We were not allowed to take food inside. Parking charges are high ₹200. Recommended to reach early 7am, to see birds.

Timings are 7 am to 7 pm. Visit here only if you are staying nearby and wants a good 12 km nature walk in Jungle. Nothing much to see. Do not go if you are hoping to see wildlife. If you are lucky then only you shall get bullock cart for hire. A big no no for aged, little ones and people who can not walk long distances. Actual entry point is approx 2.5 km ahead of Google map location. No way to preplan trip here in any way.

Stay, food and forest everything at best, as compared to any other wild life sanctuary in Maharashtra. The stay tariffs are really reasonable or say cheap. If you don't want to walk they also arrange Bullock Cart ride. Please do inform in advance Ashish

Phansad wildlife sanctuary is at Raigadh, around 180 kms from Pune. A very rich coastal forest with very unique feature of Arabian sea on one side and dense western ghats forest on other side. The forest has very rich vegetation. There is a vulture resturant project at Phansad WLS too. Forest department has stay facilities at the Sanctuary. There is a canteen at this stay facility where local ladies cook food. Food is very good ,always freshly prepared and at reasonable rates. A beautiful place to explore.

This is beautiful Sanctuary but very restrictive in approach. Need to be lucky to get the bullock rise 2.5kms (250/- ) or 6 kms full ride for 500/-. Should be a unique experience but we missed it as parties were already out in the jungle.

..A must visit Bird sanctuary during monsoons. ...Its about 170 kms from Mumbai, at Phansad Village near Roha. Its totally a green belt, This bird sanctuary covers an area of. 70 kms, appox. Its has a variety of birds/squirrel/,reptiles etc. However due to the dense rains , only the sounds could be heard, The forest area is thick, It also has some wild animals, like boars/pigs/dogs etc....Since vehicles are not allowed, inside the sanctuary, covering the entire sanctuary is difficult on foot, as its quite a steep and zig zag climb..There is a cafeteria inside.for snacks.. Overall Park/nature it at the best during Rains ..A must visit for green belt lovers.

Amazing place to spend a day and explore nature and get a glimpse of true wildlife! You can walk on trails without any guide. Entry fee is 60 rupees which is very cheap given the kind of access to the sanctuary. I spotted several unique birds and mouse deer! Be ready to walk a lot and make sure to carry water to stay hydrated. If you really want to spot wildlife, I’d recommend wearing camouflaging colours and staying quiet throughout your hike.

I don't have any nice experience here. I went with my friends. The management is not good especially women's self help. It is the only place where you can get food.I had very bad experience with one of the women as she was literally throwing tantrums on us. As we were having lunch there, whenever we used to ask something she was literally ignoring us. May be just because it is self help group and and not her own hotel it was not her loss only. so she was very careless. It is an experience of only one woman working there don't know about the rest. But I would not recommend the place for sure. Totally waste of your holiday and petrol also as it's its very far from Murun also. I just went there by reading nice reviews and got disappointment only. So thought my review would help someone.

Tent facility at phansad is good, but hard to spot animals on your own. Just be ready to have long jungle walk upto 5-6km to each point. Facilities such as trained jungle guide and safaris could be good option to attract more number of visitors. Currently beach near to phansad, kashid has loads of visitors but phansad gets very less number of visitor count even on weekends. Forest department need to put some efforts to attract tourist and nature/animal lovers. Track designed for trail inside jungle need to be maintained.
