Glorious! Must visit when you travel to Lebanon. You need to ride a cable car to reach the place faster or go uphill via car. It’s worth the cable car ticket as they have a breath taking view showcasing Beirut and the Mediterranean Sea. They offer mass in different languages.

Our Lady Of Lebanon is a popular place to visit for millions of faithful both Christians and Muslims from all over the world. The location is stunning! “Peace” is the word to describe the mood. The view is also amazing Recommending the usage of the “téléphérique” for an overview and a fantastic experience to reach Our Lady Of Lebanon.

This is one of the must-see tourist locations in Lebanon. It has a special religious value for our Christian brothers as well as for us Lebanese Muslims. My family and I make sure to visit our Lady Mary and we enjoy the unique views from there. This year we noticed the new terrace with Kids playgrounds. I encourage everyone visiting Lebanon to make sure they add this location to their travel plans...

This is a must see for visitors to Lebanon. Its religious location should not discourage those who are not catholic or even believers from visiting. Many visitors are not on a religious pilgrimage, but are visiting because of a fantastic location, great views, the sky train (which is a favorite but not the only way to get there), and people watching. Highly recommended.

It is about 70 km from the capital Beirut, at an altitude of 1550 meters above sea level. My group did this walk from the bottom to the top of the mountain. Some trail through the woods that we found. It was a really good experience. The Lady of Lebanon itself is worth the trip, even if you drive to the top. The views are amazing and the church at the top is something to see.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Harisa is one of the most wonderful places, as it is a great religious and tourist landmark when you ride on the cable car in Jounieh and you see the picturesque views on your right and the north, the road that he takes between the forests on his way up the mountain and when you get off the cable car you see a wonderful painting and a wonderful view overlooking the Bay of Jounieh And you see the shrine anxious, and you have a strange feeling of reverence, and you also see the people around you quietly praying, so you go up to the first stairs of the shrine and pray, and here you meet a large number of believers who visit also the shrine of Our Mother Mary and pray and ask and feel relieved as if all your pain and You are healed, and when you finish the visit, you sit a little in the church square with trees around you and people take memorial pictures and light candles. When you are about to leave, you pray and you are sure that you will long for this holy place quickly. Peace be upon you, Mary.

(Translated by Google) The shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon is located in a geographical area characterized by stunning scenery, which is one of Lebanon's most beautiful tourist sites. The shrine occupies a place in a pine forest, overlooking Jounieh Bay. The Ministry of Tourism has listed it as an important landmark in Lebanese tourism, and it encourages Arab and foreign tourists to visit it. Al-Mazar, a founding member and activist of the Association for the Development of Hajj and Religious Tourism, seeks to promote the culture of religious tourism among Lebanese residents and expatriates, and tourists coming to Lebanon. This provides an opportunity for visitors, Christians and non-Christians, to learn about the principles of Christianity, the Eastern Church heritage, and the position of the Virgin in them. The shrine leads thousands of believers from all parts of the earth every year, and it is associated with the Marian world shrines through its participation in the membership of organizations that deal with international shrines. Through this network, the shrine contributes to the celebration of the international days set by the Holy See and United Nations organizations, including, but not limited to, AIDS days, breast cancer, diabetes, drug addiction, traffic accident victims, peace, and others. It is not only the real peace that you find in a turbulent time, but that positive energy you always leave with. That place is THE MUST SEE in Lebanon. The views from the mountain to the Bay are astonishing. One of the most beautiful in the world. Went a thousand times and will keep on going.

(Translated by Google) Mount Harissa is one of the main attractions in Lebanon. High above the city of Juni stands a 15-ton statue of St. Virgin Mary. Made of bronze in France, it was brought to Lebanon at the end of the 9th century. Lebanese call her in French “Notre dame du Liban” (Lebanese Mother of God) or in Arabic “Seyidatna Harisa” (Our Lady Harissa). Numerous guests of the country, as well as the residents themselves, come here from far away and all year round. Admire a truly breathtaking view, light a candle, say the most intimate to St. Mary. There is a small chapel under the statue. Everyone comes here, regardless of their religion. Light a candle, be at the dinner with your thoughts. You can also buy miraculous or just cute souvenirs nearby. For every taste and pocket. And it is simply not possible to return without a souvenir. I would like to stay here as long as possible and take a piece of this beauty with me. Behind the statue is a modern cathedral made of glass and concrete (1970). According to the architectural concept, its facade should resemble a Lebanese cedar, and the rear, made in the form of frames, should resemble a Phoenician ship. Behind it is the Byzantine-style church of St. Paul, whose vaults and dome are richly decorated with mosaics, including the use of technology imitating the famous Byzantine gold smalt. In total, there are about 20 churches and monasteries around Harisa. The oldest church of St. Anthony of Padua was built by Franciscan monks in 1628. Harisa is the seat of the papal nuncio, and nearby, in the town of Bzummar, is the residence of the patriarch of the Armenian Catholics. You can get there by car, but it's much more interesting to use the cable car, which is called Telefrik here. Small cabins for several people will carry you over the city to Harisa itself. It will take you almost to the very top. At the last stage, you need to transfer to the rail funicular. There are several restaurants in front of the funicular, with cuisine for every taste. Very beautiful, I RECOMMEND (Original)

The Cathedral on top of the hill is great. With the statue of mama mary overlooking the city. Very solemn place to visit to find peace and quiet, from the city atmosphere. Too many people when we came there coz it's Christmas. But we're planning on a not so crowded come back to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and pray solemnly.

From Beirut you can take small buses to access here. Then there you need to take a cable car and then funicular. The statue is built on a high mountain. Entrance fees are ok, not very expensive. The stairs going up to the statue are narrow. This way you might need to wait other people sometimes. Here you will have one of the best views in Lebanon. Mediterranean sea will be laying under your foot.

Great view of the unique landscape and the nearby architecture. The church is the most modern look this side of Beirut. They don't price gouge you as much as they could, which is refreshing, but they do have the most refined souvenir shop I've ever seen if you just have to drop cash.. If you're lucky enough to have a local with you, ask them to park at the top while you take the telefrique. On the way back down, there are 4 or 5 placed to eat that are not only affordable, but some of the best food plus view that we've had so far.

The shrine belongs to the Maronite Patriarchate who entrusted its administration to the Congregation of Maronite Lebanese Missionaries since its foundation in 1904. It is one of the most important shrines in the world honoring Mary, Mother of Jesus. The shrine is highlighted by a huge, 15-ton bronze statue. It is 8.5 m high, and has a diameter of five meters. The Virgin Mary stretches her hands towards Beirut. The Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon draws millions of faithful both Christians and Muslims from all over the world. The 50th jubilee in 1954 was also the hundredth anniversary of the establishment of the Catholic dogma of the Immaculate Conception. During these celebrations, Pope Pius XII sent his representative, Cardinal Angelo Roncalli (later to become Pope John XXIII) to Lebanon. Pope John Paul II visited Our Lady of Lebanon in 1997. The Congregation of Maronite Lebanese Missionaries, responsible for the administration, works at reinforcing relations among all local Churches, Christian communities and apostolic movements. The Lebanese Christians as well as the Druze and Muslims have a special devotion to Mary, Mother of Jesus. The Maronite Patriarch of Antioch named her the "Queen of Lebanon" in 1908 upon completion of the shrine.[1] Overlooking the bay of Jounieh, the shrine has become a major tourist attraction where tourists take the gondola lift, the Téléphérique, from the city of Jounieh to Harissa.

It was erected in 1907 on top of a hill, 650 meters above sea level, in the village of Harissa, 20 km north of Beirut in honor of Our Lady of Lebanon. The place has a wonderful view of Jounieh Bay. It became a major tourist attraction where tourists take the gondola lift, the Telepherique, from the city of Jounieh to Harissa.

Beautiful place, but in the recent years it has gotten way more touristic. You used to be able to go there and just enjoy the scenery, but now you have to deal with a parking fee, an entrance fee, guides trying to get you to pay for their services, barriers and blockades everywhere (although more safety is better), employees telling you where you are allowed to go, and more crowding. Recommended if you're passing by and it happens to be nearby. Not recommended to dedicate an entire trip to it.

That’s definitely one of the most attractive spot in Lebanon. This place is located in Harissa, Lebanon. You can go by by car, public transportation or tourism services as well as using the Teleferique (cable car). I’ve surely enjoyed this place and can recommend it to everyone visiting Lebanon. I went up two times. One by car and the other time by cable car. The cable car is safe enough I guess. The car drive up is amazing. There is a lot of parking. You will just have to be patient. It is a very very busy place. So expect to spend some time here. Make sure you climb up to the top where Our Lady is. The views from there are great and you feel a great sense of spiritual being up there. People put locks there as promises. It is really squishy the higher you go up. There is a gift shop that can get congested. There is also a place where you can buy candles. The church design is interesting and quite out of this world looking. Definitely worth a trip both by car and by cable car. Both of the views are stunning.

Right on top of the mountain. About of a drive to the top from Beirut. You can book a taxi to go there. Parking is good and plenty of spaces. Quite place to visit. You can climb up to the top of Tower. If you are into photography then you can pack your lenses to take some really good photos
