An incredible gem atop a hill with a view in the south of Lebanon. The house is at the intersection of deep history and local art, both filling its interior. Its exterior is a gorgeous garden and a modern pool overlooking the nearby villages. The food was homemade traditional southern food that tastes like a warm hug. A highly recommended place for a unique getaway.

By far the best experience I ever had in Lebanon. Very unique in it's authenticity and art deco items. The refinement and quality in every detail are unbeatable. Every single piece of furniture, the finishing, the gardens to the plants, paintings, books. the views, the service, the friendliness of staff, the warmth of the hospitality and the home making taste of the food. This is one spot in Lebanon that make us love it despite all.

This place is truly extraordinary. It brings you back in time with its authenticity, yet it is built with ultra-modern precision. I have rarely seen such clean construction finishes in Lebanon. The location on top of of the hill gives it spectacular views. The pool area is Zen! The yard with its tall trees is peaceful and cool. And let’s not forget the food. The entire experience was nothing short of amazing! We will definitely be back, and soon!

My husband and I spent the most delightful three days at the magnificent Dar Zefta . We loved it all : the history , blended architecture , exquisite interiors , beautiful gardens, relaxing pool ,stunning views, authentic local meals and of course the warm hospitality . We were also profoundly touched by the owner’s vision , aesthetics , and commitment to engaging the local community . This is responsible tourism at its best . We definitely want to come back again .

What a gem in South Lebanon! My wife and I spent 3 wonderful days at Dar Zefta and would highly recommend it. Dar Zefta nestles in extensive grounds filled with lush vegetation and a myriad of trees and flowers. There are even 100 year old olive groves to wonder through. The interior is impeccably curated with pieces that reflect the more 120 year history of the estate. The guest rooms are well appointed and comfortable - ours had a patio with stairs leading up to the impressive swimming pool. The hospitality of the owners and their team was excellent and the Lebanese cuisine was delightful. Sustainably managed, the whole Dar Zefta project has a positive impact on the surrounding community. It is also a great location from which to explore everything that the South has to offer from archaeological sites to ancient castes and imposing valleys. Bravo to the Dar Zefta team and a big thank you from us to Bahjat and Ghada.

Simply an outstanding experience in all aspects. The story behind Dar Zefta, the culinary aspect, the social development, the support towards the artists of the region, everything is simply beautiful. I loved how traditions and modernity merge together in an elegant way. The attention to details, the culture and the list goes on and on! A must try, and let all your senses BE!

I was looking for a place that would feel like an escaped inside our tiny country, and I found it. The place is beautifully decorated feeling like home from the minute you step in. The surroundings are very interesting, filled with unfamiliar stories to the point I felt I traveled to another country to learn so much about my own country. Highly recommend.
