I'm
not
from
Nacogdoches.
The
guy
at
the
city
visitor
center
recommended
the
place.
I
was
a
little
concerned
it
might
be
a
"Tourist
Trap".
I
can't
say
it's
not,
but
I
can
say
I'd
gladly
go
back.
The
atmosphere
is
casual
and
fun,
but
nice
enough
for
date
night.
The
table
of
ladies
next
to
us
were
a
bit
raucous
("girls
night
out
I
guess").
We
had
the
"shrimp
wonton"
appetizers.
They
were
not
what
I
expected,
but
they
were
very
good.
I'd
recommend
them.
I
had
"Mama's
Spicy
Chicken
and
Shrimp".
It
was
very
good.
My
son
had
some
kind
of
combo
platter.
It
was
very
generous
and
apparently
very
good.
(He
didn't
share!).
One
of
my
pet
peeves
is
restaurants
with
lousy
beer
selection.
Auntie
Pasta's
has
a
reasonably
good
beer
list
including
some
local
brews.
If
I
recall,
the
beers
I
had
were
from
the
Fredonia
brewery.
They
were
decent
beers,
but
more
importantly,
I
had
the
opportunity
to
try
a
new
(to
me)
and
local
brew.
Our
experience
would
have
been
awesome
if
it
were
not
for
the
wait.
It
took
way
too
long
to
get
our
food.
Maybe
if
I
wanted
to
drink
more
(like
the
ladies
"next
door")
I
wouldn't
have
noticed.
Our
waitress
apologized
for
the
long
wait.
She
told
us
there
were
only
two
cooks
in
the
kitchen.
It
was
a
Tuesday
night.
My
dinner
was
also
not
piping
hot
(my
son's
was).
It
may
have
had
to
wait
on
his!
If
I
could
give
half
stars,
I'd
probably
take
half
a
star
away
for
the
wait.
On
the
other
hand,
if
it
weren't
for
the
wait,
it
might
have
been
4.5*.
