Vibrant ashram with magical vibe runs by loving family. Surrounded in beauty of the Himalayas. I felt in love with the whole family, being and taking part of ashram turned into a communion. A great place to experience distinctive and fundamental meditation and yoga techniques, also rare and authentic traditional culture exchange. To emerge in the daily schedule, provides profound classes of yoga philosophy, chakra study and Indian culture. I have done the sound healing course by the great soundhealer mataji. Iā€™m really grateful to got initiated by such a powerful and well experienced healer. I enjoyed every second and will miss the innocence laughing and sharing love. See you again. Love and the brightest light to all of you.

I did the 6 day retreat at the Om Yoga Ashram. From the first day it felt like home, the family treats you like as a family member! Mataji is carrying about everyone like a mother and Guruji is always spreading positiv energy. Every day starts with a smile. Everyone here is so helpful and kind. Also their kids and Pryanka. Pryanka is very nice, attentive to details, caring and hard working. The yoga and meditation classes are insane, it's a perfect place to connect your body, soul and mind through spirituality. Gurujis meditation classes are really good to go deeper and find your way of meditation. The hikings and trips in the nature calm you down! The philosophy teacher Mohit takes his job very seriously and catch you on the way he explains and talks about the different topics! The food was very healthy and amazing! I learnd a lot of indian vegetables, how the vegetables and fruits effects the body. The whole Om Yoga Ashram family carrying a lot and help you in any situation! Thank you all for everything and a lots of love to you!

Beautiful and nourishing experience at Om Yoga Ashram. I did my 200hs YTT there and stay for a month. Food was delicious, the classes were good and the schedule was flexible and not too heavy. I had a great time there with the Ashram family (yagun, Mitu, Prianca, Matachi) and all the souls I met there. Thanks so much Matachi for being so sweet and funny.ā¤ā¤ā¤ā¤ā¤

It is a small cozy family ashram, with a friendly atmosphere. I stayed here for two months and I fell in love with the family, especially the kids - Mitu and Shagun, who are so sweet and very well behaved. Shagun is an aspiring artist and will gladly do henna on your hands/feet. Mitu is destined to be a performer, his skills in classic Indian dance are amazing. The girl helping around the ashram Pryanka is sweet, attentive to details, caring and hard working. The yoga teacher Anish is very energetic and knowledgable about the body, as he is also a professional dancer, and he helps and pushes until you succeed. The couple that runs the place - Mataji and Guruji will gladly adopt you into their family and take you with them to a nearby fair, errands, dinner, wedding or involve you in decorating the ashram with live flowers for a festival. Guruji is very devoted in meditation and yoga classes and has a vibrant positive personality with a lot of smiles and laughter. Mataji is the artist soul of the place and an amazing singer. Hearing her sing and drum at the evening prayer, as the rest of the family is playing different instruments, is the highlight of the day, and you should also catch her perform outside the ashram. I was finally able to do headstands due to Anish's technique in yoga class, he knew exactly how to help me get stronger. And I had the best mediation sessions of my life in the ashram, due to the proximity to the Dalai Lama as well as the serene and beautiful surroundings. Literally living in a moving cloud in the Himalayas was magical. Thank you Mataji and Guruji, please send my love to Priyanka and the kids :)

I did a one week yoga retreat. The best part of the ashram is the lovely family and employees working on this project. The yoga and meditation classes brought me forward. The meals were a unique experience, but most of all the prayers and songs every evening were an amazing way to experience how a family lives Hinduism. You will not get this easily. I especially want to mention Pianka, who was a wonderful trekking guide, and got up early to make sure I got my taxi! Ji!!!!

My friend and I did the sound bath healing, and it was the most relaxing, calming experience of our lives. We also really enjoyed the rooftop yoga- such a good stretch! Would recommend to anyone!

I came looking for a calm place to stay for a few days and I found OM yoga Ashram. Family owned Ashram which made me feel like I was home, very welcoming people and with lots of ancient knowledge in yoga and meditation. Also beautiful breakfast and views ! If you want to get away from the busy India and have a rest this is a very good place to be.

Iā€™m Yoga Ashram has really nice views, with basic accommodation. Food was plentiful and good. One side has lot of steps and other side has steep hill going down to the ashram. Yoga classes were really good. Some of the classes about philosophy of yoga and about doshas were good. Unfortunately while I was there weather was not very nice. It rained a lot and it was really cold. We had few trips as well. Overall Om yoga Ashram is good.

This is a small family run ashram, not like the classical large scale ashrams. The experience is like living with a friendly local family. They go on outings with you and th kids love to play and chat with the guests!! They also have a very sweet dog:) The location is very nice! You don't hear any traffic and the Ashram has an amazing view especially from the beautiful rooftop!! I went here most days to meditate and it really is a highlight!! Also, Dharamkot, Naddi and Mcleaud are very near so you can walk there and there are also some amazing trecking routes near by (Triund and Guna Trail). The yoga teachers Rohit and Nidhesh are amazing!! They are both very honest, respectful and kind hearted people and we really loved their classes!! Apart from the 200h Yoga Teacher Training, I also did a sound healing course here. Marta Ji is really great at it!! I felt amazing after her healing session and guests were even coming from many places to get a healing from her. I definitely would recommend this unique experience, too! :) I really hope to come back to this beautiful place ā¤ļø Thank you for everything guys and sending lots of love!! xxx Christa

My experience at this place was far from what I expected in terms of spiritual growth and self-development. It seemed more like a scam than an ashram. The owners' lack of genuine concern for guests was apparent from the beginning. Instead of taking the time to have a chat / meet us, the owner (Yogini Shakti) hurriedly took us to her office for upfront payment without any engagement. The payment process was dry, with no questions asked or interest shown in our needs. (We still didn't even introduce ourselves by then). When we inquired about the place's philosophy, we received a vague response, "I don't believe in anything specific, I am weird. You just need to believe, and then it comes," followed by taking an unrelated selfie with us. Throughout our time, Yogini Shakti appeared disengaged, frequently on her phone, even during our first meal, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Attempts to understand the schedule were met with reluctance, with vague responses like "things change." Her partner's lack of introduction, coupled with very poor chai, further contributed to the overall sense of disorganization resembling more of a rundown guest house than a genuine ashram. He was also a teacher at the ashram yet when we arrived there was no sense of welcome from him, he carried on being on his phone. Feeling uneasy, we decided to leave on the same day, requesting a refund for the six-day stay we had paid 17,000 rupees each. Despite the ashram being empty, Shanti only refunded 9,000 rupees, citing no other bookings or guests. Overwhelmed by the experience, we accepted the partial refund, leaving with a sense of disappointment in the lack of authenticity and care at this purported ashram. There are many beautiful places for spirituality around Dharamshala. For instance, the Tushita Meditation Centre offers accommodations and well-thought programme at a fraction of the cost we paid at Om Ashram. They provide a thoughtfully planned schedule and knowledgeable teachers in Tibetan Buddhism.

I had this amazing experience of being part of the TTC course provided by the Ashram awesome atmosphere with experienced people involved in the process I would recommend everyone to try for themselves for a positive impact in life I personally believe mental peace and feeling good about yourself is something which cannot be felt by other peoples experience or story you have to go through the process by your self ā˜®ļø I wish the Ashram very best for the future endeavours and look forward to engage in similar activities in coming future..Om namah shivaya āœŒļø

Extremely Disappointed! We were excited and left sad. Hygiene? Zero. The bathroom was very dirty, shower hardly functioning. Bed clothes uncleanex. Location? 1.. At the bottom of a very steep hill.. Far from every where. Professionalism? 0. Our yoga class was lead by a 16 year old, who is not yet qualified, whose English is not good, but she did her best. Food? Not great.. You have to do your own washing up. Bedroom? Not comfortable.. No where to hang your things. Not clean. Value for money.? Zero. There are much better places elsewhere managed professionaly and by people who believe in honesty.. And live the 'yoga' values! We left early..

I rarely write reviews but I wanted to share my experience in Om Yoga Ashram. I passed there my 200h yoga teacher training and it was truly amazing. The site is amazing, quiet and remote, you just hear the sounda of the birds and of a nearby waterfall, and have an amazing view on the valley. The room are spacious and cleaned, with hot water. It is a smaller school than you can see in cities like Rishikesh, therefore the care and focus put on the classes is top notch. I would definitely recommend this place for whoever who wants to pass their 200h training or simply get a yoga retreat. Thanks again to Mata Ji, Guru Ji, and their 2 adorable kids (if you ever pass by, ask for their dance show!!!). Long life. Farid
