Sonegaon lake in Nagpur is an urban lake located in a populous area. It is on Khamla road and is close to the Nagpur airport. It is said to be a historical man-made lake constructed by the erstwhile ruler of Nagpur. Lord Ganesha lord human temple and a temple dedicated to Goddess Durga are located close to the lake. The best time to visit lake will be after monsoon.

Not a huge lake as such, but a dangerous spot. Poeple have fallen down from the corner and there is no safety. Stay aware as sometimes they are very slippery. But, looks good for photography.

Sonegaon Lake is a manmade lake which was constructed by some unrevealed ruler of Nagpur. It attracts less crowd than Futala lake, although the scenic view and ambiance are quite similar for both of them. There are not much eateries or shops around here. One can enjoy a peaceful, serene environment beside the lake. I would like more developments to be made to attract crowd in this place, at times it is used for idol immersion, that is when there are people likely to be seen although that is also been shifted to artificial tanks, thankfully which protects the lake water.

A beautiful place for spending quality time with friends. in summers this lake is used as a playground by teenagers. You won't see any water in may and June. But in rainy season it is must visit place.recommended to visit if you are in photography
