It was wonderful holy divine experience. A perfect day to spend in peace and tranquility. The architecture and the aesthetucs speaks of rich culture and heritage. Food isn't allowed inside. But do carry dry foods and water in bag as you won't find any restaurant nearby. A great spot to spend day. The city looks amazing from Gompa. The history itself speaks of the rich armour that surround the natural beauty.

Presence of Buddha can be felt in this beautiful and peaceful place. Cool breeze bring peace to mind. Om Shanti. It is centre for Buddhist Culture. Gompa is located on top of a hill just near the Nehru Museum. It is adorned with a beautiful Tibetan styled gate at the base of the hill. From there 700m walk or ride through a spiral road up the hill take you to the Gompa. The Gompa is 750 m away from the main road but it seemed separated from rest of town by this small hill. It has very good restaurants that serve delicious food, nearby for fine dining to local food at nominally charged restaurant. One must visit this place in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

Visited on 9/2/22. It's one of the best Buddhist temple I have ever visited. Situated over a hillock. Ample of car & bike parking space available. β‚Ή20 ticket for car applies. Outside temple ayurveda dispensary is there. You can get limited Chinese food. Nice sitting space is available outside temple with Arunachal Pradesh tourism advts. The temple is beautiful with colorful drawings all over. Prayer wheels are in the main temple, outside temple & a giant one too near the entry gate. You can get good view of Itanagar city & Catholic Cathedral of St Joseph church can be sighted.

Beautiful & colorful monastery with a decent area & looks to be the most popular spot for tourists coming to Itanagar. Enjoyed taking a few pictures inside the campus.

Nice place on the top of a small hill in the middle of the town. It's just a ten minute hike from the main road. It is surrounded by wood and tall trees, so not much of the vista is visible except for some gaps through which you can see the town below. There are restaurants and cafes etc, so this is more of a chill hangout place rather than a peaceful Gompa. Good may be as an outing rather than finding peace.

The Gompa is situated at the hill top of the city Itanagar. It depicts various shade of life and also the rich colour of Buddhists. This Gompa was inagurated by the holiness Dalai Lama and one of the most beutiful places in Itanagar.

The Gompa Buddhist Temple is a popular Buddhist monastery located in the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. The temple is also known as the Itanagar Buddhist Cultural Centre or the Theravada Buddhist Temple and is a significant place of worship for Buddhists in the region. It was established in the 1970s and is located on a hilltop overlooking the city of Itanagar. The temple complex comprises several buildings and structures, including a main shrine hall, a meditation center, a library, and a residential area for the monks. The main shrine hall is adorned with beautiful wall paintings and sculptures depicting various Buddhist deities and legends. The temple also hosts several cultural and religious events throughout the year, including the Losar festival, which is celebrated by the Monpa community, and the Buddha Jayanti festival, which marks the birth, enlightenment, and death of Lord Buddha. The temple is a peaceful and serene retreat and is a must-visit destination for those interested in Buddhist culture and spirituality.

Must visit place if your travelling to itanagar. No entry fee is needed, however for car you need to pay 20 rupees. Nice clean ambience. You can even meditate inside. It is similar to any other Buddhist stupa. Located inside itanagar and easily accessible.

One of the best place for a tourist to visit in entire Itanagar. Gompa- such a beautiful place it this, coloured in Golden, white and Red colour it look damn beautiful. There are four main places to see. The sanctum was inaugurated by HH Dalai Lama 14th in 1996. Ample parking is available outside Gompa. 4 to 5 small eateries are also available here, where you can have local and some Chinese dishes. Atmosphere here is so calm and clean. You can view the entrie Itanagar city from here.

Management needs to improve - - Rude behaviour of gate keeper collecting entry fees - some folks are drinking beers on the way to gompa - No security gaurd to keep the rules followed. Everyone is roaming with shoes even there is a board to remove the shoes.

It's quite nice to get out of your work life once in a while and thanks to this GOMPA being one fot those places the surroundings are clean, ayou get good views, temples are nice and atmospheric gives good vibes the spiritual you can reconnect with yourself , the surrounding is big enough to take strolls. And at the entrance you have few shops and chai walas to refresh you. Overall a nice visit. Keep improving.

Firstly i loved the peaceful environment, the beautiful designs of the Monastery and the people around. But we should also focus on the cleanliness. Throughing plastic packets and bottles must be avoided. Who every is reading this please throw non biodegradables into dustbins.
