A good one-stop place for tourists to experience nyama choma, the mixed platter was everything, would highly recommend it because you can choose your own mix from the buffet list. As a beef lover, my favourite was the top side, very reasonable pricing to me too. Also the huge red grill rack was eye catchy and definitely made me drool. Thank you very much for the experience.

📝 Well-known and touristic meat-centered restaurant in Nairobi with almost European prices. The place is cute and recommended. 🍴 Food was good. The menu was fixed for a fix price: we got an entree, a soup and then all sorts of meat that kept coming to the table and got cut directly onto our plates. For each meat type they usually suggested a specific sauce (out of 6) to combine it with, although we could really do as we liked. The meat was available in multiple rounds until we were full and satisfied. Dessert was also included at the end. Coffee was good. 📍 The restaurant is huge, has a lot of green everywhere and the local music during our lunch gave it really a pleasant vibe. However, do note that 90% of the guests were western tourists. It's very central in town and can be easily reached by car from one of the city's airports. ☝🏼 My only negative comment is that the waiters spilled multiple times water, drinks or small pieces of the meat on the table, which wasn't cleaned straight away and remained partially dirty for a while. Apart from that, everybody was polite to us.

It’s a Herbivore’s review of a Carnivores restaurant. 😅 This place deserves a 5 star. I am giving 4 stars as I didn’t try the meat myself and couldn’t be the part of the complete experience. Everyone I was with who had the food absolutely loved it. Live dance and music for entertainment, very friendly staff, delicious cocktails, and to top it all a tasty Herbivores menu for people like me who is accompanying meat lovers. Had a great time there. Definitely a very unique experience.

This restaurant is a very nice place to spend time in. Perfect for dining either with your significant other, family, colleagues or friends. Meat is tasty. I actually tasted quite a number of meats I had never tasted before. It is a great experience to have and share. Besides, they offer buffets at a set price and will keep bringing you food around until you tell them not to. Waiters are caring. I highly recommend.

Recommended for 1 visit carnivore is like Brazilian style restaurant 1 menu start with soup and after that you have a lot of weird 🍖 🥓 meat's like camel crocodile 🐊 and chicken turkey beef and more that is open they will always serve until you down the flag you have in the table you can skip on pork meat and order with green flag its halal meet i think 🤔, But service is slow sometimes you have vegan options but its taking time to cook monkeys all around the restaurant be aware they will steal your food 😊, Its a lil bit expensive comparing to other restaurants in Nairobi, But lovely visit overall. Recommended.

This place was fun and inviting from the moment we stepped out of the Uber. We were greeted with such excitement and enthusiasm. Walking into the restaurant we felt safe as the staff was covid aware by taking temperature and providing hand sanitizer to all. When entering the ambiance, staff energy and overall environment was unforgettable. From the beautiful outdoor dining and monkey sighting. Additionally as someone who follows a gluten free diet I felt heard and accommodated by Evans Kyalo. He spoke to me directly and checked in periodically. Thank you, Kyalo! Well thought of menu and best event handlers

Superb place to be for a meat galore buffet experience! Staffs were really friendly and nice. They explain to you which dip to use for the meat carvings or portions they serve you. For desserts u can choose one of it from the menu. Meats are totally yummy! Love the roasted beef the best. Highly recommended!

A fun and different experience in Nairobi. They serve game meat like crocodile and ostrich. Each meat is delivered with a sauce suggestion. We did the all-you-can-eat which came with salad and bread which was a nice compliment. The meats were all well seasoned and cooked well, it was just nice to break it up with veggies every once in awhile. They also made a great dawa!

The ostrich and crocodile mean topped it for me. It being my first time tasting it, it was great!!! Next time I want to taste the buffalo and hippo meat if it’s there. The carnivore restaurant was a good place. I attended a night event and it was so awesome. There was security and I fell in love with the environment in general. Awesome lighting, seating, fair prices for food and everything else. I attended a cultural event, and there was availability of traditional foods and drinks. If you've never tried Carnivore's barbecue, please try, it's mouthwatering.

The place is good but when it comes to employment,they either fail to pay ,or fail to remit deductions for staff to the either (nhif,nssf,paye.)the owner is very rude..the government should investigate the matters.. with immediate effect..

Weekday visits are especially nice for playgrounds that are not crowded and having the place to yourself. They do know to pull off the birthday song ..love that African 🪘

If you are looking for the most authentic African dishes, look no further than Carnivore. It has been around for ages and just like fine wine they get better everyday. Their meat dishes are off the hook and they literally melt in your mouth, that's how good they do it. They also have vegetarian Dishes but if you are carnivorous as the name carnivore suggests, This will be the meat Mecca for you while in Nairobi

The restaurant is amazing and the wait staff always ready to help The meals are amazing . They gave a fixed menu of the day which have a variety. They start with soup of the day, meat of all kind including ostrich and crocodile. You eat as much as you can until you surrender and put the flag down. James, a wait staff was really helpful and organized a surprise for my friend who had a birthday. Would highly recommend and definitely go back again. Did I mention they have a variety of drinks and good in cocktail? Don't forget to have the old fashion cocktail 🍸🍹

Really good experience eating here as a treat. The food is good and you can get to try crocodile, ostrich and oxe balls. The atmosphere from the staff and the layout of the place make it special. We only went in the late afternoon, but there was still a good atmosphere about the place - I expect in the evening it would be really great.

Visited Carnivore as a treat for visiting family and it did not disappoint! You simply cannot leave hungry, the Buffet begins in the evening 6pm. The food was absolutely mouthwatering as always, tender cuts of meat slow roasted perfectly, yummy soup and salad to entice the tastebuds, wonderful sauce pairings with each protein and friendly, attentive staff. If you have a large party, I recommend making a reservation. My only complaint was that our table was set so close to 2 other neighboring tables, conversation was difficult/uncomfortable. Still HIGHLY recommend!!!

Like any popular and touristic place in the world, in our last visit it has now become apparent, The Carnivore is running its business in complacency. The people standing in the reception were not welcoming at all and they were simply bored of the attention and being busy. The meats that we had was okay but some parts of the meat were so hard it was simply inedible. Service was quick. All in all, we ended up having a below average meal, with above average prices.

For my birthday my parents surprised me by taking me out to eat here. I walked around the compound and the place is BEAUTIFUL!!! We sat down and ordered a combo with chicken,ribs, ostrich, beef links, goat, lamb etc. The bottom line is the meat just didn't have much seasoning. It was like eating paper all night. The server was excellent and the staff sang happy birthday for me and that part was great!!

I attended the cake festival. Had lots of fun and enjoyed tons of cakes. The grounds were great, they provided seats and shades as much as possible. The best cake for me was the carnivore cake purple velvet because of the cream, then edible arts had awesome mousse cake and served generous portions. Cake city served generous portions of yummy Choco chip cake. The other vendors served very small pieces some were even sharing crumbs. The pics I have shared are the mousse cake from edible arts. definitely worth your time.

After a day game drive if Nairobi National Park, this is the place to eat a lot of meat on BBQ . Don’t expect every wild animal food, but crocodile 🐊and ostrich . If you are really hungry you can go for buffet around KSH 4,500, but we were 2 not so hungry , what we ordered with soft drink and salad was all together around 4,000

Great experience of Nairobi local delights. We wanted halal food so they changed our flag from yellow to the green. Even then they brought us alligator meat which we humbly declined to eat. Overall beef meat was 10/10 and lamb was 8/10. Didn’t like turkey, chicken and ostrich meat much though. Oh yeah ostrich liver was good as well. We concluded with deserts and it was delightful too.

A Kenyan restaurant which is similar to a Brazilian steakhouse. There wasn't any outrageous meats with Ostrich and Crocodile being the most exotic. This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and is great for a fun time out. The portions are massive so bring a huge appetite. There was some confusion with our bill as we were double charged, the restaurant handled it quickly and offered to hand me the difference directly to my hotel room.

You can’t visit NAIROBI without dashing over to this famous restaurant. About anyone you know has been there. It has been resilient in its offerings. Visit and thank me later.

A Nairobi institution, especially amongst ex-pats and travellers, this vast restaurant, part of the Tamarind Group, is located on the southern border of the capital. The open grounds give off good first impressions as do the adjacent gardens. Service is good, and the food quality too. The menu has toned down now since new game meat laws were introduced, but is still large and varied. And more importantly the food is tasty, and not overly expensive either. Unable to comment on desserts. Overall, would definitely recommend, for the food as well as the experience.

This is way better than the all you can eat Brazilian restaurants you'll find in Western countries. They have all types of meat too... From the conventional ones like pork, chicken, beef to the unconventional ones like ostrich, crocodile etc. Meat is very well seasoned and the sauces they provide are the real deal. They add incredible value! We had vegetable soup and bread for starters and the warm pineapple pie with cream for dessert was amazing!! The music in the background just makes the vibe of this restaurant legit. Please please visit! It's worth your while! And you can keep eating until you turn your flag down. Please visit this place famished!

I did the 'all you can eat' option at the restaurant. Wow. Absolutely stunning from the service to the food to the decor. Never shy on the meats btw and very little focus on starches unlike other places I've heard. Seasoning perfection is what I thought when we were served incredibly (and surprisingly) delicious exotic meats like ostrich and crocodile and even the normal meats were some of the best I've ever had. Pair this with an array of yummy sauces and veggie options with dessert on top! (Not that we could finish it by that time😂) and you got yourself one of the best dining experience ever. Fabulous place guys, really well done Ps- would not recommend this option for vegetarians😂. If you don't eat pork don't worry there's millions of delicious alternatives :)

Carnivore restaurant is an exquisite spot to enjoy sumptuous meals prepared by top notch cooks and chefs, at Simba Salon. Drinks are available and also gaming. This below is Carnivore grounds, where events can be held. This here was Park and Chill event which happens every fortnite. The grounds are spacious to allow multiple parking. It is also secure. You can set up on the ground and get your event popping. It's an awesome place and had a great experience.

You will receive a warm welcome and the each table is numbered and hosted with Carnivore flag tag to start the hunt for flesh. There are large varieties of meat including but not limited to chicken, lamb, beef, turkey, Pork, ostrich, and crocodile. The waiters serve unlimited direct from the grill. The deserts are really good and with coffee. The Carnivore flag tag to be flattened/ removed to ensure we are done. Great experience and hope to visit once again.

Not anymore the soo called famous Carnivore. Theyve decreased their menu items and have removed amazing items like onion rings. They have ramps for wheelchairs but no assistance is provided to navigate your self through the resturant. Its sad to see even their famous salad bar closed. Seems likes its running down slowly and eventually will close. Visit to eat your nyama choma and game meant but not the other menu.

Loved it! Came in famished from the Nairobi national park. The place was clean and covid-19 protocols are being observed. The buffet was different in style: They bring the different meats to you!. We had some for starters and there's a small carnivore flag perched on the table,which you must drop when you had had your fill!. The service was good and the environment, i found cleana and calm. Comes highly recommended..

The place is more of a foreigners place than a locals place. Meaning, the food portions and the prices are not reasonable. The food is made for for foreigners not locals. The fish was too fishy for me, the milkshake was made from cheap icecream but over all its an okay place to go.

12_12/20 Jamhuri Day... You can imagine that they were totally bursting at the seams and very very busy. Had planned to have lunch there with my daughter but we both did not fancy how dense the attendance was and, also, up to 3 loud parties going on simultaneously added to the robustly "in your ear" atmosphere. I have been there before on less busy days and I gave them 5 stars based on those visits.

Having never been into a cold place at first the cold was too much but after taking their sumptuous supper the cold disappeared to I don't know where.The meal was well prepared ,tasty and the quality was the best.The breakfast was somehow discouraging since they didn't have varieties.I expected to use their swimming pool but the cold was too much.The rooms are spacious clean and the beddings are something to die for.I will recommend this place and it is kid friendly..

Food is fantastic. For those that won't do meat they do offer fish. Their menu switches up so what's on offer each day varies. But the exotic meat is lovely as is the non exotic. Service is fantastic and highly recommended the Dawa.

A key highlight from my Kenya trip, this is one of the places you must visit once in Nairobi ( of course if you are a non vegetarian who loves to explore different types of meats 😉) It's a restaurant famous for providing exotic meat. It's an unlimited BBQ where you do one time payment and can enjoy your meal. It's a full fledged meal course starting with veg soup. Post that they come one by one and serve the items per menu. This includes chicken, lamb, beef, crocodile, ox & ostrich. Later on you can opt for food items that you like & enjoy it to the fullest. Then the dinner ends with some dessert which is okish. It's indeed one of the unique restaurants that I have been to, though expensive but totally worth it. The ambience is nice & the staff were very warm & welcoming as well. Highly recommended.

What a tourist trap. Way overrated but we tried just to say we tried it. The food was mediocre at best. We had much better grilled meat at our three star lodge in the Namibian dessert than this place. The meat was dry and tasteless. The soup was good. We started off with slices of corn, then soup and bread, salad, meats and then dessert. We won’t be back!!

Nice experience to spend a night tasting a variety of meat in Kenya the heart of wild creatures! Especially it was my first time to try Crocodile meat and it was tasty. They had salad and soup as an appetizer and a variety of sauces and dessert included. Don’t forget to try Dawa:)

Incredible! So it's made for tourists but it's the vibe a tourist loves. Lots of meat and they recommend a different sauce for each one. Unfortunately like everyone else, we had to lower our table flag in defeat after all the meat which was totally worth it. The experience comes in courses with soup and various salads at the beginning, then the meats rolls out. Oh and they bread at the beginning is crazy good! Then when you accept defeat, you'll get a choice of desert. We did a coffee and tea extra at the end to try and recover. A must do at least once when in Nairobi!

What an amazing place, the chefs really know how to prepare a feast. Eat as much as you want of the freshly cooked meats. The food is superb. I asked for some local dishes not on the menu and they were brought out to us. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. Everyone else around us also seemed to be enjoying themselves, lots of laughter filled the air . I would certainly recommend the 5 star hospitality to everyone.
