I got the stuffed butterfly steak (medium) with cheese and blue cheese sauce. Easily one of the best steaks I've had in a long time and it was a good size for the price. I've heard many good things about the food here and now I know why. A must-visit during your time in Nairobi.

Absolutely terrible. An employee told me that the cocktails were only 600. After the check came, the manager (Beatrice) said they were actually 800. Beatrice said the employee was new and made a mistake. Instead of acknowledging the employee’s error, Beatrice made me pay full price. I used to come here every week. I will never come to Havana again. Edit: “Ok” is a very sad response by management to this issue. I recommend that no one come to this restaurant, unless they train the management better. Very sad experience - there are many better bars in Nairobi.

Nice place to hang out for a drink and a great meal. We had the fish tacos which were the best we've had in Nairobi. There's some nice, quieter restaurant style seats in the back. The upstairs is more lounge style and we really wanted to sit up there, but the whole second floor wreaks of smoke, yuck! Very friendly staff out front helping people park safely. We'll definitely be back.

What my sister went through at Havana on Saturday night is beyond sad. This old Indian dude assaults my sister and instead of helping , the bouncers attack us verbally and physically even getting an armed police man to threaten her. Meanwhile the one responsible for the assault is not concerned because he knows he'll get away with it. His friend even threatens to punch me in the face while the bouncers look on. What a shame! Then after my sister's review, there has been back to back positive reviews, clearly people they are getting to boost their reviews

Pretty decent serving of chicken fajitas. Service was fine. I should probably swing by during lunch for a different perspective because the Tuesday night crowd was a little ratchet...or maybe Havana was the final stop of a night of drinking for them. Nothing too inappropriate. More amusing than annoying. I'll have more to say upon a future visit. The beef wellington does look appetizing.

The best gastro experience I have had in Nairobi. 6 courses of some of most flavourful food but without spice, which makes it excellent for gourmands with ulcers. Chef Anthony is the creator of this organic feast and don't forget to go for Taco Tuesdays at kshs600. The cocktails are made to original specifications but with a little too much ice. And the decor is stellar, being the home of Nairobi's most popular artist Michael Soi.

13 days in Nairobi, I spent at least 10 nights at Havana Bar. Music never too loud, staff always polite, girls always there, food great. One of the best places at Westlands if you are over 30 and don't like it loud.

Stopped in for a drink on a Sunday night. The bar was not crowded, but looks like it could get packed on Fridays and Saturdays. Service was friendly and a good selection of locally craft beers. Although the draft beer came with a lot of foam.

Havana has been around for many years now, and I believe the interior would be better off with an upgrade. Also the bar service could be improved. However, the atmosphere is still there and the food was, as usual, delicios. Hail the chef!

Not sure what was wrong with the place today. Food was ok, but came with fries instead of mashed potatoes. Vegetables were served cold and raw. Some waiters too busy, others just standing around doing nothing. Staff in the bar to busy doing other things, don’t have time to take orders. Asked for Coke Zero Sugar - not available. Asked for Vodka Absolut - not available. Bathroom filthy dirty, also no paper towels to dry hands. Where is the management???

Fun place and good atmosphere. Good vibes and ambience. Good drinks and happy hour. Usually come here for drinks before hitting the bars up and down the strip of the electric Avenue. Food is not bad either. Over a good place and food and drinks at a central location before hitting the town on a weekend. Or weeknight.

Havana is a cool spot. It's that bar you go to for drinks and a conversation before you hit the club. I was there with a summer bunny and the fact that she lives in UK, Havana was the perfect choice. The music was spot on and the cocktails were amazing according to my pal. They did look delicious. Am a whisky girl. Expatriates love Havana and it's usually busy especially on Friday night!! If you are in westlands and you want a place to hang out and have a good time, I recommend Havana!

They have an upstairs and downstairs setting. I prefer being upstairs - it’s more cozy, especially if you’re on a date. I always enjoy their drinks 😁

This place is a legend for a single guy, couples, or friend groups - solid music, great food, and excellent drinks. I’ve been away a while, but I’m sure the food and drinks have jumped a notch up. I’ve been coming to Havana 7 years, and I’ve never had a bad experience with the staff who are friendly, pleasant, and attentive - from the guys securing the place out the front to the gorgeous wait staff. I can sit alone all night, or… whatever. It combines quality with a louche ambience that I thoroughly enjoy. I note also that Havana takes these reviews seriously, so WELL DONE! Keep it up.

Bar/Bistro with a pleasant quiet atmosphere where it's actually still possible to talk to each other. Super friendly staff, good selection of wines and we also had some good snacks. Recommended.

A very lively pub at first sight....you order for a Mojito,westy it is you politely ask one of the bar tenders to look after your drink coz you've gone to the test room,you come back ask for it and its offensive to these guys..one two three drinks even the bar tenders themselves are more drunk than the customers...nothing makes sense to them anymore.Worse still is when 3 bar men look like they'll slit your throat for raising an issue.Iam an offended customer to say the least...

Oh Havana! An incredibly atmospheric bar, a Nairobi staple with some of the best food in town. The Chef is the best kept secret in the city!

It's quite a hype among tourists but it's pleasant during evenings! Very friendly staff,but beware, the security will almost always ask you for a beer if you are a regular!

NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN- Please do not go here as a black woman at night with no male companion or do not go at all as black women. You will get profiled and assaulted (touched inappropriately) by old indian men, and the waiters and security guards will enable it and defend the perpetrator. They are also in cahoots with parklands police station( bouncers kept threatening me with that when i reported my assault and even brought a cop with a gun to threaten me and prove to me that i would not get any justice if i reported the incident there) The female bouncer is not sympathetic either and will join the males in assaulting if you if you raise concern so incase of any incident, do not report there, go to another police station.

One of Nairobi's finest restaurants by day and a busy curbside bar come evening. Would recommend everyone try the food here. Never been disappointed.

Been coming to Havana for six or so years. But this time was a little odd. The drinks and staff are always good. But the food. Stay well clear of the Seafood Risotto. I’m not sure how to describe it. . Made with ling grain rice and a horrible taste The chicken was probably cooked at 6pm The Kitchen needs a major shake up. Shame in the past this was a solid bet

Had a wonderful time with a chicken tikka burger and fries.The chicken was a bit chewy but cuttable with a knife. The sauces and cheese gave the burger a very nice flavour though. Excellent service. I don't think have ever had a favourite Dj before, Havana's Dj is the best on music, not too much of afro as most clubs in Westlands, had my bestie and I return for the second time, we danced the whole night on two different nights. The servers would really take care of you and your belongings, we could leave our handbags and phones on the tables and go dancing and still find them once back. The drinks are very affordable if you on budget or even if you want to splash your money on your favourite expensive drinks. For now this is our favourite bar, see you guys on the dance floor one day :).

Went here with my friends and we had an excellent time. Great music, reasonable price points, the club is not crowded either so service is fast, and they keep their toilets clean! Also Micheal Soi's artwork adds alot of character to the place.

To be honest I just hate the music. The bar is a dive bar and the only reason the reviews are so good is they lack competition. The drinks were good and i didn't try the food because im not paying 10 dollars for a burger in no dive bar. What the owner really needs to do if he doesn't want to remodel is atleast put a new bar in. Its old and worn out. That would make a difference. Everyone should Atleast invest in thier own business.
