It is a place once in a while you can go and taste a different food. Because always eating our local food boring. However, before you order you must have an idea what you are ordering so no surprises later ! Prices bit heigh comparing to other restaurants in the same area. But you will enjoy your time here !

Food is great, loved the fillet gorgonzola. Service is just fine nothing to write home about. The atmosphere feels truly italian. Saturday dinner time is packed but you have the best time at Sunday lunch as it is very quiet. Would definitely recommend

One of the best waiters in Nairobi! Great and professional service! Older gentleman who wears spectacles. Really knows his food and wine. I didn't enjoy my beef canelloni because the meat was more like sausage meat as opposed to a beef bolognese. The rest of the food was scrumptious especially the prawn & calamari and the crab special! Great wine selection too!

Okay experience It's a bit difficult to find the entrance to the restaurant - circled a bit before locating the gate. Signage quite indistinct and google maps wasn't quite exact. Now for the food - it was okay, on the high end in terms of pricing. The ambience - tables a bit cramped but they seem to have made an effort with decor. Asked for tea and got a tiny bit of milk, hot water and a tea bag. Overall, not sure I got my value for money here.

Ah La Salumeria, still going strong, the food was great, the dessert, sublime. The ambience is nice and homely. This is one restaurant that has maintained it's high standards. However I lopped off one star because our server was singularly unfriendly, even my nine year old daughter noticed this. Otherwise a wonderful experience as usual

Good Italian Restaurant, portion is not so much.

Nothing special for the price you pay. That's far away from the real Italian taste. Pizza dough was not well made, breaking up and weak. The dressing nothing special. The owner was not welcoming at all, he had an attitude with a poor customer care, answering annoyed to some questions we had. That's the last thing you may want when you go out for dinner in a fancy restaurant. Waiters were nice. Defintely I won't go back, there are other Italian Restaurants in Nairobi where you can enjoy more both food and treatment.

A wonderfully warm ambiance with loyal patrons who fill the air with friendly chatter. We reached just before the dinner crowd came in, and it was packed by 8pm. We had a fish with lemon sauce and a vegetarian calzone. Both were delicious and well prepared. The soft and warm bread provided as a starter paired well with olive oil, balsamic vinegar as well as the two condiments of garlic and green chili sauce. Cannot wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Amazing place Somehow hidden, creating an ambient scene. Amazing finishing and artwork on the interior side.I'm not big on Italian food, but it's worth a shot, maybe I'll try something more Italian next time 😂.

I don’t usually write reviews unless I've had a bad experience. I would rate La Salumeria restaurant zero stars if I could. The restaurant didn’t have a designated place for prayer. Although my two friends and I found our own place to pray there, the owner approached us. He said we couldn’t use the fresh napkins to pray on the floor. It's worth nothing that napkins often fall on the floor, and people use them to wipe mouths and noses. We spent over $70 dollars in this nearly empty restaurant, with fewer than 5 customers present. The owner showed ingratitude; he should respect his customers needs and provide a prayer space. If unable to provide much, the owner shouldn’t complain about using a small napkin for prayer, especially considering he has to wash all the dirty napkins. I don’t recommend visiting here; although the food is okay, the owner lacks good customer service and respect for other faiths.

Delicious pizza in a cozy place.

On the positive, the aesthetic and design is lovely. Very cozy vibe but the service was really bad. I'm not sure if it was us being people of color or if our waiter was having a bad day. The food was below average for the price considering our bill came to around 5000ksh for two people. Salad didn't look or taste fresh, our bread(not sure if it was dry focaccia or overcooked torta al testo) was dry and burnt, served with an overbearing garlic dip. Food was good, salad was poorly cut and not well seasoned nor dressed. Additionally, our mains we're not served with accompaniments (no potatoes or vegetables) even if stated otherwise on the menu. No waiter asked so we didn't get any sides apart from the badly cut salad. Overall, it was okay.

Cozy, authentic Italian restaurant with good service and excellent food. A charming spot - we felt like we were in Italy! my husband had the beef carpaccio as a starter and fillet as a main - both generous servings. I had the mixed veggies to start and the homemade ravioli in sage butter sauce - also generous portions. The warm bread was also delicious. We had the hazelnut chocolate cake with a scoop of pistachio ice cream and an espresso to finish. A really lovely evening and we both took home left-overs! Thanks the the Salumeria team for such a great dining experience

The restaurant is beautiful and has such a lovely intimate feel. Service is attentive. Decent wine selection and the food was delicious. We had mushroom soup and fish carpaccio for starters. The gnocchi and risotto - creamy, fresh and full of flavor. Definitely warrants a second visit.

One of the better cosy restaurants in Nairobi. Genuinely Italian food. Shame we went on a Sunday as it was quiet. A few critiques. The waiter seemed exhausted and not particularly attentive. The white wine was served in a carafe rather than opening it in front of the customer and leaving the bottle at the table. The chocolate cake was served cold/at room temperature (with ice cream). In our opinion it should be warm. Nonetheless, we look forward to visiting on a more busy evening.

The bolognese fettuccine was great but the pesto was a bit dry and bland. Added some salt and chilli and it made all the difference 👌🏾

I love the way they have recreated an Italian restaurant in Kenya. You’re transported to Italy. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and quite reasonable prices, but you do need to budget a little more for your meal. Booking is advisable if you want to sit on the veranda.

It was my first time at La Salumeria & I dropped in randomly & unsure if the food was good or not. I had decided to share a mushroom soup for starters with a friend and later regretted sharing because it was amazingly delicious. I love love love the soup! I had the Fettuccine carbonara as a main and it was incredible. Absolutely flavoursome! The coffee I had after lunch was also good & I actually had to ask for another cup. Our server for the day was Jimreeves and he was an excellent host. Looking forward to visiting once again in the near future. Sesnie

Really really good food! The place is cozy and a bit tiny but it delivers in terms of ambience and food. Staff treat you well too so I would most definitely go back!

Each person in the group ordered something different and no one was happy with their order. Other than the small servings, the food wasn't exceptional maybe because we went during a public holiday but something was a miss hence dint even bother with dessert. For non-alcoholics, drink were limited to water or juice.

The servers are quite cold and seemingly exhausted. I waited at the entrance for some time before anyone attended to me. I had also made a birthday reservation which was intended as a surprise but they did not bring tiramisu or sing like they said they would. The pasta itself was great but the dish could've perhaps used a little more seasoning. All in all, we had a decent night.

I was first time in La Salumeria, the food was ok but not perfect. I was eating Vitello tonnato, pasta and a chocolate cake. The restaurant have also daily menu list, wine selection is good. I try another time.
