The best meat! The best service. Attention to detail. We were quite a big group and they handled everything perfectly. We first got the maitre d' explain to us the various cuts of the beef (and I found this very informative). And then the meat came and it was exquisite. What do I recommend everything! I had the wing rib which was really huge and tasty (go for it), the rib eye, the sirloins and the fillet and the pork ribs were all rated A. And then came the desserts. Our two favorites were molten chocolate cake with ice cream and the malava pudding with the ice cream. If you love meat, you're in the right place; if you don't like meat, you're still in the right place. Oh, did I mention the wines and the cocktails...you're in the right place😁

The steaks are up to standard. I thoroughly enjoyed my T bone. The staff were friendly and quick. The place is well designed and the ambiance excellent for meetings, dates or casual meet ups. 5 stars for me.

Excellent spot for a nice quiet meal. Good selection of meats, top notch service, decent portions and quite tasty. Call ahead to reserve, I recommend sitting upstairs.

Apparently I did not look rich enough to be admitted into the The Local Grill, so anyone reading this should know that you have to look a certain way to be admitted, (I was wearing official by the way) and the place was virtually empty, Happily The Karel T-Lounge is always welcoming, professional and accommodates all human beings. I will not got to The Local Grill again, and I will repeat this message to all my friends who can heed this across the world.

The Local Grill is not as local😎 Nestled on the new wing of Village Market, this speciality steak and grill is a must visit. The food is sumptous, customized to each clientele palate requirements. What was amazing was the staff's knowledge of the menu. Impressive. Also, not sure why but all the staff have this smiling attitude to staff that makes the whole experience special. PS: The cocktails need more work on them please🙏

These were the worst steaks we have ever had. We ordered steaks that are supposed to be the most tender but the ribeye was inedible and just ate the sides which were nothing to write home about either. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Restaurant has a good ambiance The service is slow as they have few wait staff and the staff almost force you to buy their steaks They also force you to pay 10% of your bill as tip even if the service was poor I would never recommend this restaurant because even the fries are dark colored to show that they have been cooked with recycled cooking oil Also normal sauces that come with steaks are sold separately and even the option that is claimed to have jack Daniels does not have it The bill also takes 30 minutes to be prepared so ask for it early should you choose to dine here It’s definitely not worth the money.

The name suggests that you should try the place for a good steak. I was extremely disappointed. The steak was tough, (despite it being medium done), not tasty and the fillet steak was also not to par. I would, however, definitely 100% recommend their cocktails! Excellently made!

It’s a place to try out. The meat was yum 😋 The lamb, ostrich and octopus was well cook and tasty. It's also with a cool ambience ready for eating some meat.

Mercy who attended to us was excellent. She recommended excellent steak. The salad was equally yummy and the cocktail was just the right mix.

It was buy two, get one free. I couldn't refuse. I ordered the bacon avocado cheeseburger to go. I ordered the blue cheese burger for dine in. Meal started with some free bread with olive oil. Sensational. I have no idea what's in that bread but combined with olive oil and the house sea salt...it was almost as good as the burger.... almost. On to the burger. I had it medium-well on pretty basic bun. The pattie itself was a good size, seasoned well. I love the sharp, slightly pungent taste of blue cheese and a salty, grilled burger. It just works. The bun held everything together. The venue is quite nice. I ate in in upstairs loft area. The village market location (I assume the others as well) had a nicely stocked bar. I opted for a soda but the bartender could easily make anything you need. Three burgers, two ginger beers for $30. Sure, you can get a cheaper burger but you get what you pay for. On a scale of 1-5, the local grill burger gets a good 4.25 on the Taurus scale. I'll have to get the steak on the next visit.

One of the many restaurants inside the village market, this one specialized on meat. The fillet I had was great, very tasty. Not the cheapest place though.

Served by Lilian who was friendly and helped us pick what to eat. The place has great ambiance for dinner. The pork ribs were really good however the onion rings were a bit too dry.

We definitely were let down by this place. We ordered the classic burger and the steak platter. The burger was nice but the steak! It was bland and inconsistently cooked with some parts being medium rare and others being medium (we had ordered it medium). The sauce, rosemary and parmesan, did not save the day. The mocktail tasted like some regular orange soda. We had expected more out of this place I terms of our palate experience. The lack lustre steak made us not order dessert.

Never go wrong, one of my regular spots for meat in Nairobi. Love the bone marrow with the meat dishes, the sides and of course my medium rare steaks and fillets. Always recommended

This goes without saying, but if you're shopping for the best stake in town, look no for further. Combine with the finest wines money can buy. All available in house! Give it a try! Thank me later.

The staff working on 2nd September especially the manager, hostess and the waitress with the bad skin are tarnishing the brand. Very classist. 0/10 experience, would never recommend this place.

The facility is beautiful and has a nice menu. The ambience is to die for especially when the midday sun is kissing a good day on your face. I have been here severally but with a company of white friends. Then today, I went to the facility and shock on me. Their service is very slow and you'll be lucky if someone comes to attend to you. I stayed here for over 30 minutes no one was coming to ask of my order. Well as you can see in the picture, they were all tired for the day and mark you it's 12 50. The picture means no harm but if you are open I believe you welcome customers and are ready to serve. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend but if you go there brace yourself to experience disappointments.

Good food, good service.

We had the bone marrow as a starter and it was fantastic. Two rump steaks for the main: The steaks were tender and tasty. We had the 45 and 60 day aged rump steaks. The 45 day was the day's special - ayshire I believe. This one was a hit. The 60 day was the Angus and was served on top of a salt slab. I found that this made it a bit too salty. The wine selection was vast. We had an Argentinian bottle (recommended by our waiter Felistus) - excellent choice. Service was wonderful. I absolutely loved the spinach and butternut served as a side and they agreed to make it without any dairy. It was my second favourite after the starter. The chilli served with the food (pictured) is truly one of the yummiest I've had. I plan to look up the supplier online or to get their phone number from the restaurant when I visit again.

This place was recommended by many so we thought we would give it a go. The service and staff were exceptional. The food didn't live up to the raving reviews. We tried a few of their sauces and they all tasted the same. The Berenice sauce was pale white and didn't have any flavor to it. The brownie was like a soft chocolate cake. I had the wingrib 500g, which had about 200g of meat. This cut was flavorful. Tiramisu and sorbet were the winners of the evening.

Nice place, tasty food. The waiter spoke too fast though so it wasn't easy to grasp everything that was said. Slightly disappointed I couldn't get the sirloin as I initially wanted but the rump was good. Funny how I was limited from getting well done meat but advised to have medium well, I guess those are the culinary standards.

Grain fed. Dry aged . Wet aged . Grass fed Any type of beef steak you want I guarantee they have it . I'm not a big fun of red meat but I would move there for that piece of the meat 😉

LOVED the Ceaser's Salad!

One of the worst food experiences I have ever had. If not the worst.The steak was not cooked to order, the bearnaise sauce was split, salmon and vegetables not seasoned . For what you pay, you do not get value for money. The only redeeming factor was the excellent table service. Avoid this restaurant and it’s pretentiousness at all costs.

The only place in Nairobi with authentic Chefs who can make steak to your liking. Medium rare comes out exactly like that. Loved the cocktails as well.

The local grill remains one of my favourite Nairobi steak restaurants. The quality is consistent and there is value for money in portions served. I highly recommend their rib eye. It's really good.

First visit was great. Second visit was a bit disappointing as i) they got our order wrong, and ii) our steak was on the rare side even though we had ordered a medium-rare. Lacked in consistency. Was not worth the amount we paid for our meals. Staff were very helpful though, 5 stars there.

Beef steak smelled a bit bad like the most of meat in Kenya which I really hate. Burger looked good.
