My first trip to Nairobi and this hotel made my experience very comfortable. The staff were caring/amazing, rooms were very clean, and the food at all of the meals was very good. If I come back to Nairobi and need a hotel I would definitely want to stay here again.

I think even words can not describe, the place is amazing, the staff are the most friendly and the all general services you think of, the best you find them here.

I really enjoyed this restaurant when I was at Boma. Johari felt a bit too posh and overdone, while this restaurant (in the basement below the bridge to the main entrance) had a really fun vibe and the food actually was really good with good attention to detail.

The Boma is a wonderful hotel which is owned by Kenya Red Cross. I loved our stayed here on two different occasions totalling up to a week in March 2023. We had a lovely quiet room on the 7th floor. The room is huge and has good views of the outskirts of Nairobi City. The hotel is closely situated to Mombasa Rd, the expressway and Southern and Eastern bypass. The restaurant has a varied menu and food prices are reasonable. The air-conditioning is not very effective. I would definitely recommend the Boma.

Beware, you get bathing lukewarm water in this place. I stayed for two days on different occasions and the water temperature was the same.If you like lukewarm water this is the place for you. They give you one towel per room and you have to ask for more if you are more than one. So, that is what we did and we had to wait for one hour to get it delivered. Other than that, everyone is friendly, and the place/mileau is inviting. The food is good, and you may find some big wigs cooling their paws here on some evenings.

Just don’t go there - I’ve never been to a more miserable 5 star hotel. The rooms are dirty and broken, we found an old sock from someone else and it was not possible to fully close the window. Moreover, the whole bathroom is just horrible, you flood the washing table every time you use the tab and the shower splashes in every direction. In the middle of the night people were talking so loud for hours, that I even did not get any sleep. So please, just donβ€˜t go there. πŸ˜„

Very comfortable stay here, just before the Safari. Lovely shower and great prices. Food was sadly just OK though. I had the buffet, but it missed flavors.

Very poor hotel, avoid at all costs! They introduced a $25 charge every time you order food from outside the hotel, to grab guests funds, who opted to not eat the terrible food, which was burnt and bad quality. The staff at reception were mega rude, and for the last several days I’ve been here I’ve had to wait hours and hours for the cleaners to come

I checked into Boma Inn Hotel today. Was met at the reception with such courtesy and warmth, it felt good. The rooms are clean and very spacious. On the food, they offer a wide variety of cuisines: Indian, Oriental...and it'd cost you around Kshs 1000-3000 depending on what dish you get. It's very close to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and that's a great perk if you happen to be on transit like I am in this case.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the helpful staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. Try out their mouth watering pizzas, you will never have enough. This remains my first and always choice both in accommodation and conference.

This is not a 5 star from any standards. The service is extremely poor and there's no class in the hotel. It's a decent option if you get this around 10-12k shillings , anything more and you should explore better options as the service will let you down.

Remarkable security check at the gate, good reception and spacious rooms. The Hotel appears to be clean but at night roaches emerge from nowhere, in the bathroom and on the table tops. I also didn't like the constant noise coming from air duct right outside my window.

A one stop hospitality power house....a venue for events and conferences, top class dining experience, hospitality training facility, swimming, green lawns suitable for photography and recording, ample parking , friendly staff and above not too far from the two major airports, JKIA and Wilson and to the now famous and upcoming express way.

I found this hotel upon a recommendation from Expedia because our condo wasn't ready. Boy was I in for a surprise. The staff was very professional and welcoming. The surrounding was handsome and the rooms were impeccable, I was blown away. Got there at night after an exhausting flight from Paris. They made arrangements for us to have dinner in one of their restaurants and the food was delicious. The artwork in the hotel is absolutely awesome and features local artists that are for sale. To me, that is a huge plus. We came away very impressed with this hotel and can't wait to return with family and friends, and hopefully, artists. Definitely a keeper.

Loved the ambience, the food and accommodation offering. Also a great venue for parties - birthday, baby shower, graduation, conference, high tea, bridal shower, team building, date, what have you 😊. Loved the staff, they way they were thoughtful and offered great service. They also offer conference facilities and a hospitality school extended to the Boma Inn hotel which offers 3 star accommodation. Big parking space is available as well. They also have rooms on the ground floor that cater for the disabled - here they get first priority and it’s easily accessible. How thoughtful! I’d strongly recommend.

So much could be done here, so much more information could be told about the history, the materials things are made from. As much as I had a lovely visit I was disappointed, I was asking questions to myself and was left wondering about the history of the place. We went to Coventry especially to visit here but ended up spending more time in a few shops in the town. Ok to pop in of you are in the area but wouldn't make a special trip to visit.

Stayed for one night to be somewhat close to SGR / Airport. Nice big room but really outdated. Staff was not particularly friendly. Our rate didn't include breakfast, to add that was ridiculously expensive. Cafe was not open by 7am as advertised.

The hotel is OVERRATED. For that price, Food was average. My sister ordered beef which was unchewable because it was not well done. When we complained, nothing was done. We still went ahead and paid it. Needless to say, we are NEVER coming back there again.

Had the most incredible stay at this Boma Hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. A special mention in particular to Lillian whose service was absolutely exceptional in the cocktail bar. πŸ“ Good and very big accommodation option in Nairobi with many floors and lots of rooms. πŸ›οΈ Our room was big, comfortable and clean. We even had European electric sockets, which is always a plus for us when travelling. πŸ“ Location was just fine for us: 20 minutes away from the international airport and only 10 minutes away from Wilson airport. The interiors were good enough, not too fancy and not cheap. 🍴 Breakfast was pretty good although we found it could be organized a little bit better: for example the table we sat at lacked some of the cutlery. ☝🏼 When we checked in there was a confusion at reception as they expected us the day later although we had confirmation about the right date. We got checked in anyway as the hotel is thankfully big enough, nevertheless this caused some unnecessary stress.

Had a very nice experience at The Boma. The rooms are quite spacious, the hotel is not too crowded and easily accessible to city centre or other part of Nairobi through the express way. The hotel staff are okay but not so accommodating with requests. They serve a wide range of breakfast options.

My stay at the Boma Hotel in August 2023 was actually nice. I moved from the Boma Inn to Boma Hotel due to a negative experience with hygiene. I cancelled my booking at Boma Inn within their policy and was entitled to a refund. To date, no refund has been made and emails to the hotel have been unsuccessful as no one has bothered to even acknowledge my emails or confirm when the refund will be made. Highly disappointed and disgusted as a former guest. Shame on you for this terrible treatment! I can’t believe you’re associated with the Red Cross. I want my money back and hope that no one else goes through this frustrating experience hence the negative review.

Quite disappointing. The room was worth a renovation especially in the bathroom, i had to ask for clean towels. Staff is friendly but this should be the standard in a supposed 5 star hotel. I think it's good for a one night stay close to the airport and not much more

Nice hotel in Nairobi. Clean hotel and very nice staff make up for anything that is not up to par. Highly recommend staying here as they take the safety of the guests serious. A 4 star hotel with great amenities and service for both local and international guests. Located barely 30 mins from the Nairobi CBD though the Nairobi traffic jam tends to affect this time frame. Great stay for solo travelers and families.

I recently stayed at a Boma Hotel that had its highs and lows. The food quality left much to be desired, often lacking variety and fresh juices. However, the saving grace was the refreshing abundance of fresh fruits. While the rooms appeared clean at first glance, a deeper look revealed mold in the bathroom grooves, indicating a need for thorough cleaning. The overall condition of the hotel suggests a significant need for rehabilitation, deep cleaning, and general upgrades. On the downside, the hotel's car services were exorbitantly priced, making Uber a far more cost-effective option. Despite these drawbacks, the standout aspects of my stay were the exceptional service provided by Esther at the front desk, making life easy, and the meticulous attention to detail from the massage therapist Frida. If you decide to stay, I highly recommend seeking out their assistance.

I’m convinced they paid for their 5 star rating because I have never seen such a deplorable 5 star hotel in my entire experience of traveling. I don’t know where to start from but we had a roach in our room and that should just explain to you the state of the place
