The security is tight up in this centre. It’s located is a very busy fast pace area. Drivers be wilding out, it’s like they don’t see pedestrians. The centre was very clean and plenty to purchase from. The only hiccup I ran across was the machines to pay weren’t working. Which was a big inconvenience since Im not from the country.

Wonderful service. The place is clean and organized. Good for kids and also people with disabilities can access the premises. Food courts, supermarkets and other shops are all functional. The mall is spacious and has a child-friendly environment.

With its multiple floors filled with an array of stores, from fashion boutiques to electronic shops and grocery stores, this mall offers a one-stop solution for all your shopping requirements. It’s nice for a very small mall. Most prices are quite high though and selection is limited. But if you are in a crunch and need to get it nearby and fast this is the place to go to. It has several restaurants too if you need a quick meal. We ate at ArtCafe once. See my other review. The place has a small parking garage. Which is convenient. And security guards are friendly.

Honestly in my own opinion this is the most equipped shopping mall in Nairobi. Has 99.9% of everything you are looking in Nairobi if you get lost there's a help desk u can always go back there and ask for assistance or shop direction which is rilly helpful. Am a mall person so I spent like more than 7hrs this shows how much there is to do in the mall. I can explain everything here all I can say this is the most versatile mall in Nairobi trust you me, is not pricy as u would think being in the high end areas truth be told java is the same , artcafee, healthy yu, Nairobi sport House, chandarana food store, miniso, bata, goodlife chemist, vivo , swarovsky jewellers, maasai market with all African attires etc Banks are also available branches n atms Mall not busy but all equipt for all round shopping honest this is the most versatile mall around and prices are the same considering the area is located at this gonna be my go to mall 👌🇰🇪

Yaya Centre is an ideal mall that serves the needs of this community. The place is generally quiet and very orderly. From the entrance, you're are welcomed by security who have been the most polite I've ever come across. This time, due to the pandemic that rocked the world in 2020, they gently asked if they could check my temperature, of which I obliged obviously. Inside the mall, you get this cool environment, almost everything you'd need is available in the different floors. There's a help desk if you need to find your way around, and again, the staff especially the security are super helpful, the best I've found anywhere.

A nice mall to do all your shopping. It's a little pricey though. It also has a play area for kids, which you have to pay, but it's good for the kids to go get their energy out

I was happy to find a few hours before my safari trip this center where I could last minute buy a memory card for my camera, have a nice Indian takeaway from Cinnamon and a Kenyan tea at Art cafe! Always handy when you don’t know much about a city to start exploring a mall!

Yaya Centre is a super mall with some of the most amazing things. I had hours to walk around and it's an amazing place. There is a photo studio, an official Apple store, an amaaaaazing book store, a wine selling place (I'm sure there is a better name for this 😁), a toy shop, a luxury watch shop (Enkata I believe) and so much more. It's a place of wonder to be honest. One of those places you can explore for hours. And the food joints in there are simply awesome!

I really love this shopping center. The stores are great and most of the staff are friendly. I especially love Alexandre's French Bakery and Barracks Personal training. The only thing that I would mention as being a negative is that the security staff are not well trained in regards to customer service or how to handle a difficult or unusual situation. If you are going to lock doors to the parking garages at 9pm for goodness sake put signs up to let your customers know how to access their cars to get out!

Yaya Centre has a variety of shops and food places for medium to range of budgets. What is great about this mall, unlike some other malls in Nairobi is that the larger chunk of the shopping places are not designer and thus not exorbitant. Vibrant, mixed crowd of people and cosy.

The checks at the entrance of the mall gives you a sense security. However, the parking spaces in Yaya have always been tricky for me. It is easy to navigate the mall as every shop's location is listed. The lifts get a bit cramped as there is no sign limiting the number of people riding on any single lift. Yaya is a one stop mall with banks, supermarket and restaurants in one place.

One of the older malls in Nairobi. Convenient location and good assortment of stores. Parking is easy but a bit tight for larger vehicles. My Land Cruiser could not fit well.in standard parking spot. Escalators seem to always be out of commission. Management can do better here. Finding shops can be a bit difficult due to layout. The age of the mall is showing a bit. However a great.place to meet and have business meetings. Location location location!!!

It might not look it from the outside, but, Yaya is really cool. There's ample parking with one of the parking lots accessible through a food court. You can keep an eye on your vehicle while taking a bite 😁 Kindly Yaya, make washroom signs/directions more locatable. They might be somewhere on the corridors but it might a whole journey to find washrooms if you don't ask anyone

The coffee was amazing and a good place for shopping. It is a one time shoo with varieties and quality. There are many business on site from banks, cafeteria, butcher, supermarket and all you need. Also, the place is well secured with available sanitizer at the entrance. Would highly recommend

  • 5/5 Johntez N. 2 years ago on Google
First thing you will note is the tight security. Every vehicle driving in is well checked, "Happy Security Check". Also before you walk in you have to pass through scan machines for security. I am happy with the security at this mall. Alot of shops to choose from. I didn't get what I needed but all the shops I walked in attendants were more than happy to help.

Yaya Centre, IS a one stop shopping mall! It has EVERYTHING you NEED!! It is has an ample car park, it's very orderly, clean, has good and very friendly security and all in all it is well planned out. They have a supermarket Chandarana that stocks everything you need in a home, eateries, a butchery, a grocery store, 2 great book shops for both secular and Christian books, Banks, a fabulous Bakery, several Coffee Shops that make an excellent meeting place, several Boutiques, a salon, my favourite shop in the world, Accessorize with Style that deals with stylish hats for both men and women, scarves, sun glasses, fashion jewelry, clothes, DHL, a Travel Agency and many more. In the photo l have posted, the hat, sun glasses, top and shoes were all purchased at Yaya. Yaya IS the place to be. 👍 It's has become my second home.

  • 3/5 Josiah M. 1 year ago on Google
Make sure you don't lose your parking ticket if you come by car. 1000 bob fine that's not indicated anywhere when driving in and which doesn't make sense since their parking system has entry time and car details. This is poor customer experience. Avoid coming by car during peak times. Small slots, parking gets congested.

One of the better malls in Kenya in terms of the range of shops, quality of goods and services, and amenities. Great food options. Well done to the mall owners. Also had an ATM where I could get USD. Great idea

An classic Mall, kind of homely. The closeness of the shops, gives one a sense of family and inviting one to enter into each space. Good spread of eateries. A broad range of local brands but international quality shops.

I loved that you could get whatever you're looking for in one space. However for first time visitors,it could get overwhelming trying to navigate the floors. I suggest you visit with someone who knows their way around.

The guards who check cars need to be more professional and cut out unnecessary comments. One of them got confused today and seemed to think I owed him a chat beyond complying with the car check and got catty about it. Bet he wouldn't have tried that with a male patron.

Good mall with Bata to get your rubber boots for gorilla / chimpanzee trekking, several good camping stores, an English language bookstore with travel guides, books on Africa, and novels. There's a sushi shop, Chinese dim sum, Pizza Hut, banks, and at least 3 coffee shop across from each other.

A mall where you will find everything you want in one roof. I like this mall because I have had a problem with secure parking. It is centrally located and convenient for people living in Kilimani, Lavington, Kileleshwa and those enroute to other estates. It is not so congested and has mature shoppers. You shop in peace. With restaurants and coffee shops available, your stomach will be sorted after your rounds of shopping 🛍.

A cute little shopping mall with lots of nice restaurants. It has underground parking but spaces are very tight for longer/larger vehicles.

Pretty cool mall with plenty of cafes and shops. I particularly enjoyed art caffe which had decent coffee (just about average) and pretty good French toast (Kenyan style) all in all I will Definitely come back at some point. Beware though, the area the centre is located in is a bit dangerous so don’t go out with your camera on display!

A nice place to go shopping. You'll probably get your ideal products from this place I loved it . Everything from the decor outside and the security is just a plus . Parking is also available.

Which mall is more beautiful West of the CBD? None. Go enjoy the maze (don't get lost 😂), you'll be amazed without maize.

Great location but a bit cramped on the inside. There are multiple shops, therefore you can hardly miss what you're looking for. I personally found it hard to navigate around as a first time visitor.

I visited the mall for the first time and my experience was good just that the prices at some shops are a bit high. And I wish they add more grocery stores cuz so far it's only one.other than that I didn't really see anything bad.I visited chandarana, toyworld, miniso and Mr price home.

I loved the space. It's well kept. Good security. I appreciate the fact that you can get almost everything and anything under one roof.

A good mall with lots of quality shops and a couple of nice restaurants. A good Chandarana with high end content, a truly great Belgian butchery, a superb bookstore plus other highlights. Navigation is bad, as it's on 3 floors and circular, but you get used to that. Don't park in the basement parking unless you drive a motorbike. The bays are absurdly narrow for a typical Nairobi SUV. The much newer above ground parking block is way better.

This centre has many conveniences and is a nice place in Nairobi to walk around, pass some time & do some light shopping. There are some nice restaurants, so it's a good meet-up spot as well. I will return.

Yaya centre is a unique market place for both the young and the old bringing together all shopping cart under one roof. Positioning itself in the upmarket of Kenyas capital...

Multi-level mall with all of the selection you could ask for. Went there for an ATM that would dispense USD, the ATM was out of USD on the weekend and Monday but today it had been restocked. Walked around the mall and purchase some souvenirs to take home to the US. Nice selection, kind and helpful staff, and fair prices.

It was one of the most high-end shopping experiences I've ever had in Nairobi! The shops and services available make it a litteral one-stop shopping destination. There is even a kids' play area on the top floor of the parking garage accessible by the covered bridge spanning from the food court. Got my wife an amazing Puma purse that I could never get in the States from Deichmann's. Also, all the food court restaurants had servers to make it a dine in experience. My host had never had Indian cuisine, so we ate from Cinnamon's menu and had the butter chicken and the curry fish. Awesome food, friendly service as she answered all my friends' questions (in his native tongue lol) and great prices! 👌🏾

One of the things I love about Yaya Centre, apart from its human size making it look like a family place: It is also one of the most cosmopolitan places, with a high concentration of expatriates, and especially the French speaking (or latin languages) speaking communities, attracted by the French School (next gate). A peaceful family atmosphere where also all religions are represented in a peaceful family like environment.
