The atmosphere is relaxed. The staff is really nice. You have the option of dining outside on the balcony or inside: upstairs or downstairs. I recommend the balcony, it gives you a view of the city's hustle and bustle. The pork ribs are to dieee for! Their milk shakes always take me there sometimes if not always. You might just have to get your food packed because you might not finish it😂😂. Definitely worth a try.

Wanted to meet a friend in town at a joint I had not tried yet and this place was what we agreed on. Honestly, I didn't like the place. They had the vision but it was poorly executed sorry to say. It was about 5:30 pm and the sunset was burning us in the balcony, while those sitting inside were baking like in an oven. The sangria wasn't cold enough and it was a bit bitter. However, the food was really good. I had the pork ribs which were really juicy and the fries were very tasty. My friend had the pork chops and they were good but a bit dry. The first waitress we had was cold and dismissing which made us feel unwelcome. However, the second waitress was better but she disappeared as soon as she cleared our table. So in short the service was sub standard. Being a franchise and having visited a few of their other locations, this one was honestly disappointing and I would not recommend.

Big Square is the one chain cafe restaurant who is calling the shouts currently in Nairobi to the new rich. Offering the food menu page through scanning the QR code at the table, the loud music and several big and widen screens on TV, which I feel the unified facilities based on technology higher, given how they manage to rope the staff into each of their roles. That's some semblance of new type of success locally.

Update second visit. Service a bit better but not much. The portion sizes are not as big as advertised. And aren't that big. "Big square" serves not so big portions. Second visit double decker cheese and onion burger meal. It was ok but just ok nothing great. First visit Service was slow took them 15 mins to take my order, the pizza was nice but I wish they stated pizza sizes in inches rather than. Small medium large as sizes can vary between restaurants a medium here is smaller than other pizza places. It then took them 20 mins to take my money, then another 10 mins to return my balance. Yes the place can be busy, but then management should employ more staff, I would say another 2-3 staff are needed as a minimum.

Why 4 star? I waited for someone to attend to me for a very long time till I decided to go and call them myself. My order took ages. The food though, it made up for it. The Hawaiian pizza was A1. The extra toppings made it Extra delicious. The ribs were not all that( brought pork ribs instead of beef) . The Sangria!!! Omg!!! It was very sweet . It literally slurps on all angles. Definitely going back.

Wonderful restaurant. They have a variety of seat types for various sitting positions. The environment is ambient, and you get blocked away from the noise of the cbd once you get in, so that you can relax. The milkshake and pizza I had was amazing. The reason I'm giving 3 star is because the orders take long, i suspect their human resource doesn't meet the demand during peak hours, since the waiters are always up and down working so hard. Also, my +1 was served stale passion juice, which was returned and had to change her order.

The seating space is conversation friendly compared to the noisy one in CBD, crunchy fries n lemon chicken is my favourite, the happy hour is 6 to 8pm. I enjoy their white wine. It is located in a less noisy , less busy street on the weekends. The honey mustard sauce...is one of the reasons I visit every once in a while. The decor is peaceful yet artistic. The staff is adequate and ready to serve you. Food takes max 15 minutes on a busy day. They have parking on the weekends.

Big square is know to serve great food, I avoid eateries like these in town, but this place blew my mind. The modern decor, and optional sitting arrangements are really ideal for all sorts of clients. I enjoyed a casual lunch and light drink, great service and attitudes.

It's not a bad place but I feel like they need to add more waiters and waitresses. I had to wait close to 20 minutes to get served and had to go get one for myself.

The food is good, the cocktails though, particularly the flavoured mojito too much syrup too much, irritates the throat. Look into that. Fridah is awesome in the service delivery made the whole experience better!!!

Went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with my child. The place wasn't so busy and the mood was very calm. Music was a bit too loud for the time but I understand the city centre can be very noisy as well. I had the half rack of pork ribs with onion rings and a fudge milkshake and my "date" had the chicken burger meal (came with fries but there are other choices and a500ml pet soda). The entire meal cost about 2,800 and it was more than enough for one a half😁. The staff was friendly but I had to keep asking for napkins because they don't set them at the table. Overall experience was incredible and I advice everyone to try their chip dip (some white garlicky dip) with everything. A strong 4/5

Gave service one star because I just left the place very disappointed.ilI entered the place at 10.30 pm and went to the counter,I asked can I get pizza and they say yes sit down. I go upstairs and sit ,no one attends me,so I call the waiter and so we says we are closed. So disappointing. People at the counter are willing to make business but waiters are lazy. I love Big Square that's where I eat whenever I come from Mombasa but today disappointment was beyond measure. I had lunch there too.

This is one of the most customer friendly restaurants I have been to in the Nairobi CBD. Lovely location on Moi Avenue and easy to get to. Since I was here last it has it seems the interior has been redone. Has a very artsy and pop up look. I like the balcony overlooking the street below with a cool evening breeze; great place to sit while having your food. The place is usually packed though so getting seating during evening hours can be difficult sometimes. Their staff are extremely friendly and low fuss. You don't have to wait too long for the food. I love how they do their fish fillet, delicious and very well made. The food presentation is usually top notch. Next time Iight have one of their famed ribs. It's a great location for an evening hang out or date in town or maybe as you await the buses outside to head to your destination.

Beautifully designed restaurant right in the heart of the city. Very serene ambience. Disappointed, however, by the service as it was really hard to get an attendant's attention, they were sluggish. Tried their very cheap beef sandwich and it was laughable. Just stick to the expensive stuff. The mint milkshake was a good choice though. All in all, thumbs down for this particular big square.

Enjoy their onion rings very much! Great food overall went their on a Thursday & the volume of their music was too damn loud it was a bit unsettling.
