The portions were very generous The buttered naan is where it's (Make sure you order that!) If you can't handle chilly,you can order mild which worked for us The cocktails were very potent and you could really feel the alcohol(Ask them not to put too many ice cubes) They have a BOGOF on cocktails from 3PM-8pm everyday The service was really good,not sure whether it's coz we were there at night PS:Visit on Monday for the buy 1 main dish and get another one free

The food is really good, the flavors are well balanced. We enjoyed everything although there was too much black pepper in the mushrooms. The portions are large. We couldn't finish our meal. The juices are fresh and also tasty. I highly recommend.

UPDATED REVIEW: I have since been to the restaurant four other times and I am sad to say that they are just not consistent in their dishes. I've ordered the chicken korma thrice now and each time it tasted different. So for that I'll retract my statement on the "best". Great Service, great food and it comes out QUICK! Nothing worse than having to wait for food as the smells waft to your table from the kitchen am i right? Well, no worries about that here, literally 10min wait. The only reason I didn't give this a 5,is because the restaurant was fairly empty, so I'll be back to check out if the service remains the same when packed. I recommend the chicken korma, and mutton roganjosh. I would go as far as saying..... This is the best Indian food in Nairobi!!!!!

** Short Review ** : For the dish price, their portions and the excellent customer service experience I give them a 5 star. ** Long Review **: I was impressed by the warm reception by the waiter who ushered us in and took our order. He was quite professional at recommending what dishes to order as he was well versed on what was on the menu, if your new to Indian cuisines. He recommended Chicken Tikka Masala and their special Tari Wala Mutton. The dishes only took about 5mins or less to bring in (I must add there was minimal customer traffic that day). We were impressed by these two dishes. Both meat dishes were tender and with just the right amount of spice (ordered medium and high respectively ). Their high though wasn't that high. My partner didn't hesitate to let them know though; it felt like they were holding back on us LOL.. We ordered their plain, butter and garlic naans to go alongside the meat dishes ( I would recommend their garlic naans, very tasty and crunchy). I cant forget the ''Virgin Dawa'' drink. This will be my new favorite drink whenever I visit the place or any other place that serves it ( enjoyed mine ice cold not hot!) I highly recommend this place( The Mayura Kenrail Towers) I wouldn't mind giving them a second visit to try more of their other dishes! I totally forgot to tip that waiter that took our order, for the great customer experience. I apologize and will do so on my second visit! :)

Anyone with special interest in Indian food, The Mayura is the place to be. Their food is exquisite though, you have to do a bit of consultation with the waiters so as to order what you can comfortably eat. This is because of the intensity of spices as well as the chilli in the food. Therefore kindly consult before you order. The staff is equally super friendly, accommodating and warm. The service they offer is of high quality. The ambience is impressive from the interior decor to the outdoor setting, fabulous. They have soft Indian music playing in the background, gives you a feeling of being in Mumbai or in any other place in India. FUN FACT: Mayura is an Indian name for peacock hence the so many peacock symbols. Though I didn't quite like the dessert I'd rate it at 1/5.

For your take-out, please consider paper packaging with wax-lining, considering you are charging an extra 50 ksh per container (no plastic costs this much, I mean seriously😉) the 50 ksh can go to some packaging that won't sit in a gutter a hundred years all for the sake of some spice filled takeout!

How is it impossible to count 2 when you are packing the food Jumia is supposed to deliver? Driver contacted restaurant and off he went to fetch the meal number 2. Yes and of course both of them were missing the chili - in other words they were not "hot". And the current offer was buy one and get 2. Totally useless "restaurant".

Absolutely pathetic,ordered palak paneer,clear instructions were no chillies..guess what it came with absolutely chillies.. No courtesy call for replacement,only one sentence we apologize for the mistake .. When you have clearly mentioned , what the order is supposed to be still mistakes .. 4.5⭐Here for a group birthday dinner. It was pretty empty for a Saturday night. I don't know why it isn't popular. The food however, was great! Really enjoyed it. We ordered a platter, butter chicken, chicken tikka, garlic naan, butter naan and some chicken with Cashew sauce. Service was a bit slow. The place is cosy and quiet. They also gave us Icecream on the house which is a PLUS. Some waitress made some snarky comments towards us though. Called us "watoto" inferring to how we'll probably not order or pay.. I don't know what her problem was. The rest of the service was pleasing especially the manager.

I just really want to start by saying the service was top notch. The waitress we got last night was really nice and polite. Didn't quite catch her name but kudos to her. The food was so good and we were really impressed considering it was our first time trying Indian food and the portions just wow. The cocktails were also good. Overall we loved the food and the service 👏👏

Although the food is above average, the portions are really small and the bill huge. Please increase your portion size. Your food may be good but even after spending 3,000 on each person , we were still hungry.

It’s a nice restaurant with a good Ambience. They have many Indian dishes both in Veg and Non Veg. The food was tasty and fresh . We just got in for lunch and end up staying there for almost 4 hours. Highly recommended.

Good food. Horrible customer service. Rudest staff( specifically the cashier who picked my call on Sunday 26th January 2020) that I've encountered in a loooooong while. Was unable to respond to my questions about an order and proceeded to hang up on me. I called back and her colleague was equally impatient in answering my queries. Even though the food is good, that one horrible experience was enough to make me ditch the place for good! Thankfully, there are so many restaurants that serve amazing Indian cuisine in Nairobi.

DON’T ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. I ordered Tandoori chicken with chips and a cola zero. What I got was the type of chicken you buy frozen in the supermarket, some pieces of roughly sliced vegetables and a tasteless thin sauce. No cola, no chips. On the top of that, they made me pay for the cola even though they didn’t bring it! The food that actually came tasted so bad.

When I went the restaurant was completely empty and the service was good. The food was acceptable. It was OK. Ordered on glovo with the offer of buy 2 of the same item get the third free. Proceed to buy 2 butter chickens, expecting 3. Order arrived with only 2. Called them up and spoke to customer support at glovo, and the reason they gave was twofold. The Mayura employee said its because I didn't order 3, glovo customer support rep said after speaking with Mayura its because I didn't order it as 2 butter chickens and instead ordered it as 1 butter chicken and 1 butter chicken in the same order. Nowhere does it say that either of these two methods was a requisite to obtaining the offer. Furthermore after having the issue explained they made no attempt to rectify the situation. I find their actions highly deceptive, and unacceptable.

Good food, excellent service. Love that they have a kids play room, kids menu plus they give kids balloons . We ordered the ribs which were succulent and fell off the bone, we also ordered the chicken and avocado salad which could be better in the way of presentation but was tasty. The chicken nuggets off the kids menu were awful. The wings were so-so.

It is such a lovely spot. It's quite spacious with seating places both inside and out. The food is delicious and there are plenty of options. Good consideration on kids as they have a kiddies menu, give them complimentary balloons and have a jumping castle for them. Very friendly staff especially Jackson. You also get complimentary sweets after your meal which is a cute gesture. I highly recommend this spot.

The ribs as usual do not disappoint. Service is decent.. (Not sure how/why guys have bad reviews) I enjoyed my meal and staff was helpful and happy to assist whenever required. Point of note, vegetable (GREENS) are needed A LOT! in meals 👍🏿👍🏿

I highly recommend their chicken curries, the place is known to have very intense chilly flavours so be sure to let them know your “hot/spice” levels. The service is quick and offers a range of appetizers and cocktails. The place is ideal for families or large parties to smaller groups. The kids playing area allows younger children to be entertained as they await their food. The location is ideal at Kenrail Towers, in Westlands. It has ample and secure parking space.

The starter chicken tasted quite chewy and was in a dry sauce which complemented it well. The main course was Chicken Karoga boneless and a dish from the BBQ menu Chicken Garlic (a whole chicken in a garlic sauce marinade on a bed of lettuce and naan). Overall had a good and pleasant evening. Previously had meals from their business menu which is also worth the price paid for which is 650/- only and they got a variety to choose from . However, I now have so many of those white containers it's just a pity that one has to always pay for them when ordering. Can't the management come up with a system where we can return the containers if still in good condition for a small refund or simple find a way of packing the food in carbon containers that we throw but still going green?
