House of Waine is a very modern and elegant boutique hotel in the Nairobi suburb of Karen. There are 11 rooms in the main building and 2 cottages with very nice grounds and a pool. This is a quiet residential area of many upscale private homes. At one time this was someone private residence and you can imagine how exclusive it was in its day. We were very fortunate to book the Malaika suite which is in the center, upper level of the hotel, with the smaller rooms on each side of us. My quess is it is about 1000 sq feet and furnished very tastefully. The service, food, ambiance, decor and appearance of this hotel is first rate. The staff goes the extra mile to make you comfortable and feel special! And certainly made our stay very unique. The hotel is close to all of the local sites, elephant orphanage, giraffe center, etc. If you are fortunate enough to stay here it will be with no regrets. Thanks to our travel people for making this recommendation.

We stayed as a large group at the House of Waine twice over the summer. The good: - The staff was very kind and even outwardly asked us to help with laundry when our kids had a spill - The hotel itself is clean and safe. The beds were comfortable. - It wasn’t clear to us that all inclusive doesn’t include “expected” gratuity. This made it relatively awkward. I’d strongly recommend the property just hike the price and include a flat 15-20%. The not so good: - The restaurant took foreverrrrrr. It was 30-45 minutes from ordering to get food. We tried to ask for portions to be cut in half as well; however, it seemed like any customizations weren’t possible. - The location was pretty far from both downtown as well as the airport. If you’re looking for “convenient”, there’s closer.

Very quaint luxury hotel in Karen Nairobe Kenya. Loved our stay there last week. Staff was excellent, rooms were very nice , and the grounds, including a pool, were beautiful. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Hamble parking space, affordable price, good scenarios. I'm exceedingly happy and humbled to ask those who have not been in this flamboyant hotel to come and enjoy their weekends.
