Absolutely loved staying here. Anthony the owner is amazing. The food is outstanding. The staff are so friendly. Peter was my driver for the entire time of my stay. He is so knowledgeable when we went out for the game drives. He became a friend. I highly recommend staying here. I can’t wait to go back

It is difficult to find fault with this top-rate establishment. It is highly recommended. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and efficient, our room with both a fireplace place and stand alone soaker bath tub so comfortable and well-designed. Just a few minor annoyances - WiFi was intermittent in our room at times and didn't seem to be functional in common areas. The hot water in our bathroom could have been a little hotter to enjoy the full bath tub experience. Lighting in the bathroom area was not quite adequate. And the very steep road down the hill leading to the property should be improved. It is not adequate for non-all wheel drive and non-4-wheel drive vehicles. And watch out for monkeys in the dining area. On both mornings during breakfast a monkey jumped on both me and the table to steal food. While this was not a traumatic experience for us it may be unsettling to some guests.

Amazing lodge setup just at the border of Nairobi National Park next to Mbagathi River that makes you feel like you are in the midst of true wilderness. The rooms are extra spacious, service is excellent and food is simply superb. A true hidden gem so close to the city.

Had an amazing weekend @emakoko. Rooms were amazing, clean and extremely spacious. Staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly. Food was great.. Nice to have a like this in the wilderness, in the amazing Nairobi National Park, that is stone throw away from the city. Definitely worth being here, and will definitely be back.. Thanks @emakoko for making our new years 2021 a special weekend.

As a travelling family of five we all had a wonderful time here. All the staff were amazing food was exciting and delicious drinks fantastic and even did a great job with non-alcoholic mocktails for the kids. We will return should we find ourselves back in the beautiful country of Kenya!! 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤

Emakoko has 10 lodges built on the slope of the hill. The pool is not heated. You may need warm clothes for garden dinner. There were so many cute Hyraxes. I also saw bushbucks, black rhino, and buffaloes at night. Everything was nice here except the water issues. There was no running water in my room from night until just right before I checked out. I understand how hard the water management is around that area, but I still wish I could enjoy the bathtub.

The nairobi national park has got so much potential for the lovers of scenery, wild animals or wild drives the beauty of this park its only 45mins drive from the CBD, may be less depending with where you are coming from particularly from the airport its only 30mins Earthy dam is my favourite route.

Staff were very friendly and courteous. Views were amazing, especially from the house at the top of the hill. Food was fantastic. Could not fault a thing. Not everyone would be able to make the ascent to the top however as very steep and lots of steps. Definitely worth it though!

It is very easy to get things wrong when a lodge is located within a nation park in Africa. However The Emakoko couldn't make it better if they tried. Nestled in the heart of Nairobi national park; it is a trek to get to but very worth while! From arrival the staff are amazing, from the acting manager through to the watchmen. I would suggest dropping by to see the Dr. At the bar for one of his amazing Chilli Dowas and indulging in self taught Chef Steve's tantalising bites during lunch and dinner. All of the staff were happy all of the time and more than ready to help answer questions or give advice. We were even able to help in kind with the mystery of the Emakoko Christmas Bauble Vine!! All in all, you can relax, you can drive (or be driven for those visiting) and come back to superb service, views and a place that quite frankly feels like home to anyone who is part of Africa. My wife and I shall certainly be back!!

Emakoko is a beautiful boutique lodge sitting on the river that forms the Nairobi National Park boundary. Access from the Park is via a lovely wooden walk-bridge. The cottages all have views of the Park and are well laid out. The food was extremely good and beautifully presented - especially the Turkey 'Wellington'. Emma and Anton are charming hosts and the staff were excellent without being over-attentive.

Second visit and hope it won't be the last. A must rather than a city hotel as it's in the park.

My mom and I stayed here in October and had the most AMAZING visit. The staff is incredibly kind, very good at knowing your name, personalizing everything to a T, and everyone has a smile on their face. We spent 2 weeks in Kenya on a safari and exploring, and Emakoko had the best food on our entire trip. They’re even sending us the recipes of our favorite food items! We finished our time in Kenya here, and it was the perfect way to relax and decompress in a luxurious way after being on a safari in tents. I had the most incredible massage in my room and my masseuse was the sweetest lady and she had the best life advice to share with me! We were lucky enough to have the entire lodge to ourselves one of the days/nights and felt so VIP. The location is such a unique space and such a tranquil little spot near the park and away from the bustle of the city. I wish we had spent more than 2 nights here, but am so grateful for the time we did have here. Loved laying by the pool with the sound of the birds, monkeys and animals in the distance and I haven’t slept that well in a long time! I recommend the Dawah drink at night and also enjoying a bubble bath in your room during sunset too! Rihaz is the hotel manager and ensured our experience was the best one we could possibly have, he’s also an incredible photographer- ask about his photos when you meet him! Couldn’t recommend this place more to anyone!

Fantastic setting with luxurious facilities. Stunning views around the National Park too. Staff were excellent and we were made to feel at home by our hosts Emma and Anton. Anton entertained us all at the dinner table with his experiences with snakes and adventures in Kenya. Look forward to visiting again.

What a great spot, to get away from the city for a few nights. Drive through the park at your leisure or go with a driver. Food was fantastic- healthy and delicious, with views of hippo and wildebeest munching the lawn!
