A nice escape from the city. Has great views of the park. I recommend one to get a guide to take you to the surrounding environs. Food and service is awesome!

Can't believe there are still places that have a genuine weigh scale πŸ˜…πŸ˜…. The roasted goat portion was more than we ordered if not intact, sumptuous and soft as per our request. Lovely swimming pool, great sceneries and don't get me started on the customer care, big up to Kevo, you did Masai Lodge proud. Keep it up.

The place is good but the road is not very good from Rongai town.Good food which is reasonably priced as you relax and unwind in beautiful nature. Great place to relax and unwind with family. Good pool ample grounds. The staff are coordinated and work very effectively. It's beautiful and relaxing all green around you.

I loved its uniqueness and beauty... Its just amazing.. Maybe they just try not to continue making me eat all of their meat..its so delicious. But the place is super amazing. Wildlife brought at your view... Loved the warthogs and monkeys

Just a few minutes off Ongata Rongai town. Here the meat is great. The place is best access using a car else you are going to have a very long and tiring walk!

I loved my stay at Masai Lodge. The service was excellent and chef impressed with every meal I ordered. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it. Ask for a pin if you're headed here. The one on Google maps is off by a few Kilometres.

The location is just amazing, a hidden gem. We arrived late and the receptionist was very professional. If you want a tour around then James is your guy. Breakfast could have been better, it was not on time. Nevertheless, the quality was not bad.

Amazing drive to maasai lodge. The space is just fantastic. The scenery both along the way to the place and inside the premises is out of this world. Lovely pool, great service. Their plata is just yummy and appetizing. Also the meat, both fried and barbecued is something You should try alongside the accompaniments. With the conducive space and environment, and availability of kid's menu, it's an ideal place for family get aways. Swimming, ample parking, play ground, all present!!

That one star is for the amazing ambience. But the food is worse than a rat's den. It's the worst food I have ever eaten since the year started. Do not eat any kind of meat for the sake of your stomach

A very peaceful place perfectly lodged at the edge of Nairobi National park. If you're looking for tranquility, this is the place. The staff are very friendly and the food tastes great. If you're planning to spend a night, carry some warm clothes cuz it gets very cold in the evening.

An ideal place for a gateway with good food and beverages. It's silent, got a beautiful view of greenery and a river just nearby. Technically it's the best place to chill if you love peace and nature. Also, don't forget to pack your swimming costume if you love to splash, they've got a pool.

No photography on the premises unless you pay the tour guide despite having lunch there. There are a lot of birds but no photography unless you cross over to kitengela glass side. The guard at the gate was rude despite us asking for permission for taking bird photos. Best have a good phone camera that way no one will stop you from taking photos Great sceneries though and lots of bird species

Very nice place, the nature around is fantastic. It is a great place for a holiday if you want to enjoy calmness, clean air and great views. Different varieties of animals can be easily seen around especially the Baboons. You also enjoy food on open air. A will placed swimming pool is also there to enjoy.

  • 4/5 Wambui M. 4 years ago on Google
Maasai Lodge has a tranquil atmosphere and plenty of space to explore and enjoy. However, the food is over priced and I felt cheated cause the meat platter and pork chops is more of bones than meat. Food takes an hour. They should offer customers small bitings as food is being prepared.

I very much enjoyed my first visit to Maasai Lodge. Use of the pool area was great and our dinner was excellent value. My only negative comment was the wait time for service and food delivery to the table.

A very lovely place for a get together or a date with your better half. The food is tasty, beautiful sites and sounds of nature. Speaking of the food we ordered 350ml gin, 2 club sodas, mixed platter and chips. The whole bill came to kshs 2900 and it was more than we expected. Swimming costs 300 per person. I recomend it to all looking for a place not far from Nairobi city.

We (my family & I) had an amazing time on 25th December. The choma was amazing with generous portions of the accompaniments. Their service was even better considering that the place was at full capacity. I didn't get a chance to swim but the pool was very enticing so I plan on going back for swimming next year. They have a big field, many sitting spaces and beautiful scenic views.

Our safari group had a traditional Kenyan lunch at the lodge. The staff was welcoming and full of hospitality. We ate on the terrace overlooking the lower grounds and were entertained by the music of the birds and the sights of the many varied plants on the grounds. From the fresh fruits to the goat broth soup and traditional mukimo, the food was a journey through traditions.

The place is good but the road is not very good. As you drive you are likely to swear never to go there again... But as soon as you arrive you appreciate everything. Good food and well priced as you relax and unwind in beautiful nature.

A wonderful facility in the middle of the Nairobi National Park. Stayed here for a week on business and the experience was great. The food is good with a wide variety to satisfy any palette. They could however do with new and better buffet food warmers for those who prefer hot food. The facility offers a chance to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is however shelved from part of the park meaning an intrusion into wild animal territory. The Masaai moran "dance" is a must see spectacle if you are visiting the facility. Worth a visit!

I lived around the hotel and before I moved out of Rongai. I decided to go for a staycation and it was a good idea. Great services, serene environment and good food.

Food is great, place is cool and nice scenes. The only bottleneck is that the place is far from everything, Anyway they have almost everything there so I guess one will be fine

Masai lodge is the perfect getaway from the city. It is within great proximity. Like a mini-maasai mara. The rooms are comfy and have a nice ambience to it. Ever desired to sleep in the wild?! There you have it.πŸ˜ƒ The food is scrumptious and the services are excellent. Swimming pool by the river.πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ Conference room facilities are available too 😊 There's definitely a next time for me. Loved the place πŸ₯³

Stayed for 8 nights. The Lodge is in a brilliant location to unwind and relax. Rooms need some tlc but understand that need revenue to return to pre-covid to enable this. Be warned though the Lodge is positioned such that there are a lot of steps and slopes. For less abled people this makes getting anywhere more challenging, particularly the pool. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The Lodge caters for conferences which can be quite detrimental for other guests eg buffet only rather than ordering from a menu and seated away from anyone else dining. Overall enjoyed the stay.

The black coffee is amazing. The waiters are beautiful/hot and ever smiling. Got turned on the whole time. Very private. A nice place to cheat with someone else's spouse. Lions on the way. The view was spectacular.

This place has not lost its touch, over 20 years later. Still such a refreshing place to connect with nature, the swimming pool is still clean and as good as new. The service is still as it was. The drive is still as far, getaway vibes but for a day.

Masai Lodge is credited to be located right in a game park. You therefore live very close to nature. The trees, the monkeys, hyrax, different birds, the flowing river just down the swimming pool and bar, coupled with the excellent service by the ever smiling staff, would make your stay enjoyable if you are a lover of nature. The rooms are basic and fitted with mosquito nets and you are provided a kettle with tea item to help you in your room after a safari. The food is good as well. The Distance however would not allow you to the city centre for shopping. You need to leave at a good time to catch your flight at the airport.

It's had been 2 years since I last visited this place, and I must say, after visiting the place last month, I never wanted to go back home. The splendid view of nature was overwhelming, with various bird species, which I took photographs of obviously. The sunset was breathtaking as well as the chance to see various wild animals, including the big five, lion, cheetahs, elephant, rhino, leopard, among others. The customer service was exceptional and the rooms were exquisite and matched our expectations. I'd recommend anyone looking for a vacation this holiday to visit and experience unforgettable memories for you and your family.

This is the place anyone would like to visit. Its location in the middle of the park , it's diversity and its allure make it a candidate for the most beautiful place on earth. In addition to that the place has good services ranging from meals, recreational facilities and beautiful and hospitable waiters.
