During covid19 pandemic, i used their service in september 2020. From the beginning to the end, they are so friendly and helpful. I talked with Martha, we managed to plan 6 days safari tour to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. Martha helped us a lot even before we arrive to Kenya, like visa process etc. During my stay i had my birthday, and they celebrated! Thank you again :) Our driver and guide Mr Patrick is so professional and an experienced guide. During our trip with him i had an excellent time, i was able to see the big 5. He knows where to find animals, gives information about them, he has interesting stories about animals. We didnt follow the other vans, we had our path and our group trip became a private trip in the park without other buses. Neither dont panic, nor push him, he knows what he does. They also take you from the airport and at the end leave you to the airport. I recommend these friendly and helpful people to you! Dont hesitate to send them a message!

We chose 7-days budget safari trip from this company. From the first email with manager called Steve I understood it will be great service. Steve helped me a lot by providing information and answering all my questions which were not always even related to this tour. He used to reply me fast even in late evenings. Also, he organized our COVID tests to enter Tanzania and dropping us in Namanga border to Tanzania. We had some problems there as officers didn’t want to let us to the country as they probably wanted money from us. We just called Steve, gave the phone to the officer and Steve made things clear. Thanks a lot, Steve!!! No about the trip. We got an amazing tour guide Mansur. He went above and beyond to make this trip amazing for us and worth of money. He was very professional, also he is very bright and smart person, open minded and told us many interesting and real things about Kenya, wild animals and processes happening in nature. He did all his best and we saw Big 5 because of him! He also managed to show us the great migration of wildebeest crossing the river, it was a lifetime experience. Just few advices for the people planning to take this trip: First, if you are picky or spoiled don’t take budget trip. Food is always the same: rice, beans and cow or mutton stew. This is not about this particular trip, this is about Kenya all in all. We are not picky people and that food is okay for us. But do not expect burger or spaghetti bolognese here :) Second, trust your tour guide completely once he is not blindly following written program. The brochures about safari trips were written many years ago, even some lakes are already gone which are mentioned in tour description. Your guide always wants you to have the best experience and sometime it is needed to modify a plan slightly. Experience is the best if you trust your guide and let him do his job. What is more, do not expect animals to behave like in documentary movies. People who are making these movies are hiding in the bushes for days just to catch a hunting lion. In the real world true happiness is just to see them, even see them walking and not just lying already is a big achieve! Some of them is really hard to find. Be happy just to see them in real life. Also, be ready to spend many hours on the road. Kenya’s roads system is not well developed. It will take many hours get from one national park to another, once it took whole day for us. The only option to skip this is take a planes but it will be very expensive. For us spending time in the road wasn’t terrible as we enjoyed the view through the windows, you cannot see true Africa if you take planes. We saw local people life, beautiful African nature. Mansur used to stop for a sunset for us, African sunset is one of the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. One more advice is specially for the girls. If you choose budget safari tour have in mind that two nights you will spend in hotels and four night in tents. My advice is to wash your hairs once you are in hotel :) although tents are really nice and there is a toilet and shower in it, water is not hot. It is okay to wash yourself but not so nice once washing your hair, a little bit cold. So use opportunity to do it once you have a night in hotel. Big Thank You for Big Time Safaris from me and my husband Justin. We really appreciate all your help and the service you provided. It was definitely worth of money adventure.

After contacting several agencies I selected Big Time safari for a 4 days safari (Masai Mara and Nakuru Lake). Steve was always very proactive and responsive, available to answer all my questions before my departure to Kenya. Our guide, Edward, came pick us up from the airport and was also very nice and professional. I can recommend this travel agency to everyone.

We had the safari of a lifetime! David was great in communicating and answering all of our questions, professional and organized. Hassle free. Geoffrey was an AMAZING guide. He worked so hard for us to get incredible and once in a lifetime experiences and got us close to the animals by thinking outside the box (by not just following other safari vehicles). He gave us a very unique safari and we feel lucky to have had him with us through Kenya. He was such a gracious and professional guide he knew the answer to every question we had. We HIGHLY recommend this company

Hie. My agent was David and Eric was my tour guide. Both highly recommended. Made all the bookings via him. The tour was great and very well organised. All are really friendly and highly professional. My last minutes extra requests were also adhered to. Highly recommended.

We couldn’t recommend this agency more! Our drivers/guides Clinton and Stanley were amazing! On our last day, on the way back from Maasai Mara, the dirt road “melted” and both of our vans got stuck in the mud and got a flat tire afterwards. Clinton and Stanley tried really hard and managed to pull us out with some help from the locals. It’s worth mentioning that this happened after driving for 7 hours in the safari (waking up at 5am), they got us back to Nairobi safely after driving for 17 hours in these hard conditions with only a couple short breaks.

We took part in a 3 days Masai Mara safari, which was a really great experience. However, there were some things that should be improved by the agency. We weren't happy with our guide Joffrey. He should definitely work on his communication skills. I had a feeling that he went to the safari to meet his friends, as he was talking on the phone all the time, and stopping by each car. And he seemed annoyed when we wanted to stop longer to take pictures of the animals. There were moments when the group saw something amazing, everyone hold their breaths, and just admired the beautiful animals, and all of the sudden Jofferey would pick up the phone and talk very laudly for a long time - zero empathy and understanding of the moment. Secondly, the itinerary wasn't very clear, each participants got a slightly different schedule, and the guide suggested to skip the third day of safari and go to Masai Mara village instead... This caused the argue between him and participants, which was very stressful. Finally, after we insisted to have a 3rd day in safari, he informed us that the breakfast will be at 5:45, not at 9, as planned before. Also, we had a group of 8 people in one car, which was too much. People in the back couldn't hear the guide and see much. Luckily, the camp - Miti Mingi Eco Camp - was quite nice, and the food was tasty. Although, I would recommend taking the snacks with you, as the breaks between meals were very long (e.g., breakfast at 7 am, lunch at 1:30 pm). The camp wasn't in the Masai Mara national park, but outside. So if you hope to sleep in the tent in the middle of safari and hear the animals at night, that won't be possible there.

Driver was great, answered all our questions about Kenya, animals on safari and let us see the animals from a close distance. Amazing experience!

If you’re looking for the most economical way of safari, this agency can be the option. The tent was not bad, and food was nice. But, you might wait for long time to get your driver to your hotel.

Amazing tour in Kenya (Nairobi - Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha). Good organization. Thanks to Carlton, our driver to guide us through the park and catch all the big five.

The way to go for a budget safari. Overall super nice experience! - only three points: More transparency would have been good concerning the schedule and the internairy. Most persons of our car heard different versions. Also if the sunrise is the best time, why not start at that time as even the park opens there? (we started early but had to discuss for it). Day 3 game drive was more like the way home going through the park with 40 km/h not at sunrise. Last point: please quote the price in dollar and KES - or use a fair currency conversion, not one that has to be negotiated?

I had a 4 nights/5 days safari to Masaai Mars Reserve with Big Time Safaris. The tour guide of my safari, Clinton, went beyond his responsibilities to make sure that everything went smoothly. His was absolutely punctual on the timetable and he was keeping us informed about the next steps continuously. During the safari he was constantly striving for providing us the best service and look for the wild animals we were looking for . The company itself was very prompt in their response s and would recommend them again despite the following glitches: as I was visiting two different places they told me that the camp on the second place has lower standards, spiders, snakes etc so to scare me off to purchase the upgraded package each costs $100. Also, I basically missed the last day as we woke up at 5am so to catch a bus to Mombasa which eventually left 4h later than they thought. Also, just be aware that during the Masai Mara village visit the Masaai people are getting too pushy and actually demand you to buy something on top of the entry fee. I didn't feel comfortable there.

I had a really exciting 3 day budget Safari to Masai Mara. Steve answered all my questions in advance. Our driver Patrick was very nice, provided a lot of background information about the reserve and animals. He always made all of us feel good and we laught a lot. We had a short game drive the first day, a full day game drive the second and a visit at Masai village the last day. The Miti Mingi Camp was basic but had all you need. A very huge, cosy, warm bed. Food was okay and the staff made everything to fullfill our needs. I would highly recommend this Safari.

Had awesome experience in Kenya with Big Time Safaris! The tours were excellent, the drivers were very knowledgeable and went out of their way to help out. The accommodations were as per what was listed. Great value for money. Overall I would definitely recommend.

My 12 year old son and I had a great experience with this company. The safari was incrdibly awesome and at a budget price, but far from that, their help and proximity, their communication with us before and after the safari was priceless. They helped us with the evisa, buying train tickets and moving around Kenia even after the safari. Asante sana David, Steve Ken snd others for an unforgettable experience

Big time safari holds accountability and ownership for all the stay and duration of our trip however there was no efforts from your side to find if our stay was ok or not, rather we were left to ourselves to sort out issues at Miti Mingi Eco Camp after the incident. You just upgraded and changed the stay but I could not see any efforts from your side to compensate the difficulty we faced. The guide was good but the trip could have been planned in more proactive and better way to show all the big five. There is a difference between 01 full day and 02 full day Masai Mara trip, however no deliberate planning was done by the firm nor by the guide. One should not have lackadaisical attitude if someone has planned 02 full day trip, which was evident from the behavior of the guide. Also more knowledge of park and places can be thought of to make the trip and money spent more worthy. A more professional and proactive approach needs to be inculcated while planning trips.
