This has to be the most unique themed spot that I have ever visited in Nairobi. Despite their unique menu they have a diverse wine collection. I am certain I’ll visit this place again and again. It’s currently one of my favorites. I would highly recommend their cheese platters and charcuterie platters. Their charcuterie boards offer a variety of cheeses and cured meats depending on the portion you order. The service delivery was incredible. A high value restaurant speaks for itself 💯. We also ordered foods from their daily special menu and the meals exceeded our expectations by far. 💕 Check the pictures below for your reference 💯.

Lovely garden wine bar/restaurant with a French menu and a quite elaborate, high quality wine selection. The seafood platter is in a league of it's own, but everything on menu is great. The French onion soup is also highly recommendable.

Chez Sonia is a hidden gem. Absolutely beautiful space with great energy. There was a jazz live band playing that was absolutely wonderful. I couldn’t stay because I hadn’t made a reservation. Will review the food when I go back.

It's a wonderful hidden gem of Nairobi where you and meet and greet your colleagues, friends and family members in a very calm and casual yet elegant setting. Food is great but to my taste if the curries with coconut can be a bit more well done then it will be better. Recommended for even small get togethers but do book in advance. Gorgeous garden setting with great wine menu for wine lovers. Food is mostly French/French fusion which I don’t particularly love. But the Camembert and Feta samosas have me in a chokehold. Great for an afternoon drink and catchup with loved ones.

The ambience is cosy and relaxing. They have quite the extensive range of wine options, you are really spoilt for choice. The manager was quite attentive to our needs. All in all a lovely experience.

I enjoy the authenticity of the place everytime I visit.The wine,cheese and good service from the hostess.Also like the fact that they lit the fireplace on cold days .

Perfect ambience.. we visited on a Friday and there was a band playing - beautiful voices The food was also great ... Then Sonia, the host.. I think so far this is the most dedicated host I've seen in Nairobi restaurants... she loves what she does and she's really good at it ... she kneels beside each table explaining the menu to customers, in a loud voice with this beautiful French accent haha.. she can make you eat dessert when you're avoiding sugars.. beware! Place is amazing and such a favourite spot. I love the fact that they always had a list of activities for one to be part of through the week. The live bands were amazing 🥺. Its sad that at the moment it's just take away because of the close of sit-in due to covid but I can't wait for doors to be open once again. Whatever you have at Chez sonia please add a bottle of wine to it.

Had the best sweet white wine I've ever had. The coconut rice with prawns was absolutely delicious. I loved the outdoor experience. The service was excellent. I enjoyed myself so very much. I definitely plan to revisit!!

I like the place vibes and the place is very close to me from where I live however the prices are not affordable for going 3/4 a week if you know what I’m saying I like to go and some times do some work as well,I will give 3 star for the location and the place and the missing stars for the prices and the cold plates I like the food to get to me hot if the plate are not heated the food get cold very fast in that weather that’s it

A perfect place for wine lovers especially accompanied by their wholesome ambience. You can find a variety of wines from all around the world along with some amazing cheese to go along with it. The sitting outside really creates for a great experience. They also hold different activities with wines on different days like games and paintings. A must try for wine lovers

Honestly very disappointed with the experience. My steak was well done instead of medium, mashed potatoes tasted like detergent, tiramisu was so soggy, service was slow and it wasn't busy, waiters not attentive instead busy on their phones. No manager came to address our complaints and no service recovery. Only positive was the starters, calamari, lamb and pork dumplings were very tasty and also the cheese board. Also great wine selection

Beautiful garden and chill vibes. I love coming here on a nice sunny day and enjoy a nice cheese board with some good cured meets to a bottle or two, or three of wine. Beautiful place. Good service. Good cheese and meat. And good wine. Just need good company to make it a perfect afternoon. Or night. Or day. Highly recommend

Homely little spot for your relaxation, culinary treats and a drink.

Great ambience. There was an acoustic performance on the day I was there.. great place to have a conversation with a date and all. However, they serve measley food portions and you might want to grab some take away elsewhere on your way home.

Serene, discreet and friendly location, the deliberate inclusion of greenery works well to make Chez a nature restaurant that's quite unique. Had lil trouble understanding the menu at first (I am dumb) :⁠,⁠-⁠) That said, the food is superb, just enough portions, well made - fresh and warm. The flavours are genuinely legitimate here, not overly spiced to musk. Loved it. Our reservations were handled professionally, a large- dinner table availed, food prepped, the wine flowing. The Service and Management are awesome, nothing to complain about here. 5 stars and an easy recommendation.

It"s a fantastic french ambiance in Nairobi. Most of the clients are french speakers which makes the place exceptional. Wines are very good, foods too. I strongly recommend.

Nice place for a VIP experience. To get fully fed take a starter and the main meal, do not forget a glass of wine when here 🍷 The service was slow however we had to wait for a while. Steep entrance, take care of your car bumper on entry and exit for little clearance motor vehicles. The painting was superb! The coach was really nice and friendly.

No doubt: one of the very best places, restaurants and wine bars in Nairobi and Kenya. A quiet place in the beautiful garden to eat delicious dishes out of the French Cuisine at very affordable prices. A place where you feel at home. Tu y es chez toi! The place is very cute and beautiful for an afternoon lunch/brunch. It’s easy to miss the entrance on peponi rd though. I like that they have enough parking inside. It’s french so lots of food choices are french but there is a few other non-french options. The food was great and some of the waiters were very friendly. Food takes a while to get ready and the service was slow considering it wasn’t so packed. Dessert options are very limited too as well as the sushi menu.I found their portions to be slightly less for certain meals. It was a great experience though.

We had a wonderful time here on our last day in Kenya. Amazing tunes, wine, food and fantastic service. They do a lot of wines by the glass (including sparkling). Well worth a visit.

The ambiance is amazing! Such a cute photogenic spot that makes you think you are somewhere in France. This is described as a wine bar, I was warned the food wouldn't be as good but ignored it, and to say the least, I should have listened. They have probably the worst meals I have had at a place like that and that was honestly so disappointing. The service, wine, cheese platter, and ambiance are okay, but the food took too long.
