Really cool whiskey bar close to Omotesando station (walking distance from Shibuya station). Huge whiskey menu for you to choose from and some food options. The prices range from decent to extravagant. They don’t have every whiskey you may want but they have more than enough for you to find something you’ll love. I asked for a recommendation and got a pretty glass of whiskey. Not sure about English speaking staff but the menu was in English/Japanese. If you have any questions you may need to be able speak a little. This place is fun for a drink but slightly hard to find and there isn’t much to do in the area if you go later on at night (but Shibuya is an easy walk downhill from here). I’d recommend a reservation if you want a seat that isn’t at the bar, but I went at night on the weekend so maybe it will be less crowded on weekdays or at an earlier time. One thing to consider: They allow smoking inside and many people in Japan smoke, so be ready for a smoky atmosphere if you’re unlucky and end up being surrounded by tables of hard drinking business men. Just a heads up.

Great bar for whiskey lovers. Try to get a seat at the bar; the bartenders are knowledgeable and will make great recommendations. Price point is awesome compared to the US so we sampled a whole bunch. We even had a few rare bourbons that are hard to find and/or overpriced in the US. We did the set dinner with all-you-can-drink Japanese whisky (90min) and then sat at the bar for another few hours. Dinner/whisky option is a great deal if you want to sample a bunch of Japanese whiskey's anyway.

Tucked away in Aoyama this is a great spot to try whiskeys from all over the world (especially Japanese ones). The selection of whiskeys is awesome and service is good too. Some food service is also available. Whiskeys will generally cost around 1500-2000 yen per glass and upwards. It’s a good place to try some unique whiskeys you couldn’t find in other stores. I tried the Shizuoka Prologue W, which was great. Loved the atmosphere here too. Recommended.

Took a client who liked whiskey here. Since my client wanted to try Japanese whiskey, they hooked him up with a flight that was originally not on the current menu. Appreciative of the above and beyond service for my client. Staff was also very knowledgeable about the whiskey they served.

Had high hopes. Somehow guest got the experience mixed up- thought we'd get a pairing. Nope. Seemed only one person spoke English. The waiter was really practicing level, so he had to ask someone else almost every situation. I love that he was trying- but for a fine dining experience that should be covered, being an English-themed restaurant, English menu- no matter where located. Amazing assortment BUT- half the scotches from the menu I ordered were not in stock, AND, many they had were well below half-empty bottles (oxidation/% of oxygen changing flavor- disappointing), getting cooked on hot, artificial light shelves- ouch.

Perfect place to chase down some rare Japanese whiskeys. Elaborate selection from all across the world to a point where they have a small binder as a menu. Group friendly. Expansive space. A bit disappointed with the cocktails but then again it’s not why you visit a place like this.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Tried a Japanese whisky similar to Maker's Mark. The food and tea were perfect. (Lunch) US prime beef babette steak

The selection of whisky was great, very unique bottles that are hard to find. Dinner there is convenient but considering you are in japan not a must; the main star is the Japanese whisky selection.

Whisky selection was amazing! Great atmosphere especially for a date. Service was good but nothing special. Messed up my dad’s drink order. Prices were ok but for the portion size of whisky on the rocks were a little small. Overall I’d recommend at least once.

Just came for a quick drink after lunch (no cover). Nice ambiance - need to see how it is when busy. Too many whiskey bottles to pick from maybe a tasting set is a good idea. Friends enjoyed the Irish coffee and I enjoyed a four cask Ardberg

My go to place to try whiskey from around the world, they have over 110 pages of whiskey, each page boasting eight to 12 whiskeys each. Whatever your preference, they are sure to have it. They also do cocktails with specialty cocktails catered to some of the select whiskeys they have on hand. If you want a relaxing atmosphere to try whiskey, look no further. (I have never had their food, so this review is strictly about their whisky and service).

Booked ahead and got the all you can drink deal for newcomers. My boyfriend was very happy. Too bad I'm not a whisky fan but they had plenty of other options available and smoked food. Interior was also beautiful.

Great space. Nice to sit amongst all the bottles of whisky. The music doesn’t quite match the ambiance but the whisky selection is great. The food was also pretty good. Favorite dish was the smoked beef and egg on toast. Amazing. Could’ve eaten that all night. My husband enjoyed the selection and the fun of choosing his next glass. My favorite drink was the whisky mule. Service could have been better but overall we were very pleased with the experience.

Amazing selection of whiskey in a very upscale environment. The staff are super knowledgeable and they have whiskey from all over the world. It was a really fun spot for a group and I definitely recommend trying a number of different whiskeys to get the full experience.

A nice place with a very nice atmosphere and good service. As it is a "library", the walls are shelves full of whisky bottles complete with ladders which they use to access the bottles on the top shelves. Since we are not very familiar with all the different kinds of whisky, we asked the staff for recommendations. They are knowledgeable and will give you an explanation. Also, while not all staff speak English, we were able to ask for an English-speaking server. It is a great place to have a drink or go on a date. I went on a date with my wife and had one of their selection of course meals. The food is good too!

EXCELLENT COURSES. A vast variety of whiskey and, of course, other delicious spirits, wine, and beers. Atmosphere was very calm, romantic, and relaxing. It is such a pleasure to be in this type of ambiance. The music selection was completely on point. A mix of everything in soft tones. If you are in Tokyo, it's a MUST VISIT🫶🏾

Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. I have a dairy allergy and was worried about being able to communicate and get safe food in English. The staff went above and beyond to help me and patiently explain what was in every dish. Delicious food and whiskey.

Great decor and big selection of whiskey . Coming from a cocktail enthousiaste whisky sour presentation was sloppy. As for service it was meh compared to the price of cocktail + service charge. The girl working there at some point asked me if she could clear the table and which glasses could she clean up when we had some part of our group leave.

very good, indeed! large variety, very good service. However, one can not buy a bottle, just glasses; and they do not serve the whisky in front of you (this is specially important when you are buying expensive labels)

I went here with a friend to catch up over a drink. The ambience of the place is really good and their extensive collection of whisky is impressive. In terms of food, they could do better. The shellfish 🦪 gave me bad gas.

It's gotten so much better since my first visit here the opening year. My biggest complaint before was that a place called "Tokyo Whisky Library" in Japan doesn't have wnough Japanese whiskies. Now it does, that aside the place has grown on me over time and I love my visits here.

Amazing bar with great food and service. With an awesome selection of premium Japanese whiskies and whiskies from around the world! We came here during happy hour and it was 30% off everything !

Incredible selection of whiskey! Absolutely amazing. I am giving it a 4 star because i was disappointed with the food. The portions are small and they risotto specifically was tasteless, you couldn’t feel the taste of the fish at all. Everything blended together and i finished it in three bites. If they want to be just a whiskey bar i fully supported that. But 2200¥ for 3 table spoons of rice is ridiculous. Besides that the service was good and the whiskeys were top quality.

Gorgeous venue with an incredible and extensive list of world whiskies. I started with a highball to refresh the palate and sampled the chicken liver mousse with whisky maple jelly. The jelly was a bit tart but the paté itself was good. Bring in Japan, I naturally wanted to sample something more local and went for the Yamazaki 12 year - I wish I'd gone for the 18, but this was still sublime, served neat and with a wonderful flavour profile. I had the Tokyo pork which I thoroughly recommend and seemed to be the most popular dish coming out of the kitchen. I'd love to go again to sample more and indulge in a whisky sour or old fashioned. An absolute must for any whisky lovers.

Still a great place for whiskey and drinks with a good service as well. The reason for 3 stars is that they changed their concept. Used to be more of a lounge bar with comfy seats and couches but now more focus on being a restaurant/bar. I remember the place fron 2019 and we really liked the vibe back then but unfortunately the new concept has a different focus.

This is a great place to bring out-of-town guests who are interested in various whiskeys of the world. An amazing selection of Scotch, Irish, American and Japanese whiskeys (among others.) The menu is like a phone book and the walls are literally covered in hundreds of bottles.

  • 2/5 Terry L. 1 year ago on Google
Very pricey - wanted to interact with server for recommendations. Always recommended the expensive bottles. It had a lot of great choices with a great ambience but felt like the servers wanted to hit their up sell targets. Overall just didn’t feel right.

What an amazing, fancy experience. Selection of whiskey from around the world is VAST. Was grateful for the recommendation menu. Menu/food: superb, delicious. Atmosphere: warm and inviting. Staff was attentive and friendly. Would love to get all dressed up and go back in the evening.

Bar stocks around 1000 bottles, so lots of choices. You’ll find decent list of JP whiskies and old bottlings. Can only recommened.

Great selection of whiskeys if a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Didn't try any food but it was great to track down some hard to find whiskeys. I recommend trying the Taketsuru 17!

Oh yes, nice counter bar or regular seating and atmosphere, service. Really big selection, could hardly believe they still had 10 year Karuizawa too, 27,500 yen for a taste, drink of that award-winning label.

My evening here was one of the highlights of my time in Tokyo. I was traveling solo, and Junpei, the manager, provided excellent English conversation and service. With his guidance, I sampled a bunch of Japanese whiskeys. He's extremely knowledgeable about whiskey and seems to love discussing it with customers. I'll be back anytime I'm in Tokyo. I also had a vegetable starter and the wagyu steak. The starter was good, and the steak was excellent. But good food is really just a "plus" here--you should come for the whiskey and the excellent service. I couldn't recommend this place more highly to any travelers making their way through Tokyo.
