Einfach schrecklich! We felt less than welcome. Sighing pointing out a camping spot for us. Bar was "unfortunately" closed when we were still owed a WiFi code. Hostess/bar lady simply grumpy. Not the kind of Germans we know to be hofflich.

As a campsite in the lower category, we wanted to take a look around and see what impression the place made. Very unpleasant smell from the sewage treatment plant next door. Right at the entrance there is a parking space for Vogt caravans, the building is not nice to look at, there are a few ancient caravans in the relatively small space. We definitely won't camp there. In addition, the motorway directly over the Saar is a problem. We drove straight back.

A kind of city campsite on the Saar, excellent for visiting local people, industrial heritage and Saarbrücken by bike. Cycle path along the Saar. Supermarket within walking distance. Sanitary facilities are clean and electricity is charged per kWh

I love campsites like this. The basic facilities are all there and in good order; the managers are informal and helpful; the price is low. The narrow valley crams in an autobahn right across the river, and light industry along its banks: this is hardly a holiday destination. The nearby town centre is well supplied with kebab shops and boasts a Romanian restaurant. But also a substantial supermarket just down the street. For a touring cyclist like me this was an excellent place to stop, rest, resupply and move on.

I thought it was great. The operator is super friendly and really funny. Great location on the bike path to Saarbrücken old town. The sanitary facilities are clean and spacious. You can also purchase drinks. You can look at motorhomes directly opposite. There's a snack stand a little further up the street, it was okay there.

The owner is a lovely lady and was accomodating. The site is right next to the river. It is an interesting area of Saarbrücken so for those planning on holidaying here I would not advise it. For those requiring a short stopover to wash, sleep and recover like I had too then it is one of the only campsites in Saarbrücken to do this. Facilities are suitable and you pay for what you get!

AVOID at all costs. We phoned the day before to organise an overnight stay. We arrived after 11hr drive to be told "we are full" . Pervading smell of sewage from treatment works next door. Happy Camping

Found this site online on our way to Austria, rung 20 minutes before hand and turned up. We found Carmen very accommodating, so much so that we stayed again on the way home. Reasonably priced, clean site with clean facilities. Easy to find. We’ll make this one of our regular stop overs when skiing.

So beautiful and lovely place to enjoy your holiday but it is more lovely and companionable with the presence of the owner of the camp, Ms Carmen. You can feel the friendly atmospher all over the camp. Vi met Ms Carmen as pure soul who was sincere. Good price per night, almost neat bathrooms. However some points should be considered to make the camp much better: putting toilet paper, equip the kitchen with some plates and tools.

Perfect for what we needed. Warm clean showers and toilettes all necessary aminities at a very reasonable price. (if you want 5 star service, entertainment and overly enthusiastic staff then pay for it) Only a short walk to the local store with pubs and restaurants less than ten mins up the road. Would recommend to anyone travelling round Europe or to couples wanting to explore.
