This is the only place in the expressway where you can stop and relax or get some rest and have something to eat. The place is well maintained and kept clean. Clean washrooms are available. There is enough parking for a large no. of vehicles. It has got many restaurants, a food court, a mini supermarket, and some cafes on site. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well.

Most people identified this place as the 'Welipenna Service area'. Coz its located in Welipenna. And you have the service area both sides of the Expressway. Its The only service area of the Expressway so for in the country. Better to have a another one tho.😋 Its a long travel after the service area towards the Mattala. This place consist with all the needs you want including Rest area, Parking 🅿️, Washrooms🚻, Foods & drinks🍛☕, Fueling station⛽, Charging place, ATMs🏧 etc ... There are number of shops you can buy stuff. Branded, Famous or Cheap, anykind. So anyone can visit the place have some rest through your tired trip and continue the journey. Remember to visit here even if you are not tired. DO NOT DRIVE UNSAFE!

Walipenna expressway service area is really convenient for the expressway users. There are enough restaurants, cafes, gifts shops and Cargills supermarket. Especially it is very convenient as there are toilet facilities available. Enough seating spaces are available and the area is always cleaned by the staff. Usually not crowded and not busy. Great service provided by the authorities.

Nice rest area on your way to Galle. It has many shops providing you with many different options. Toilets are clean but come with a little fee. There is a fuel station. However when I went it was closed as the whole country is in a fuel crisis. Also, there is an electric charging point.

There are lots of shops and facilities which is a good thing. But the building maintenance is in poor quality. Washrooms are ugly and not maintained properly and are even charging for washroom entrance. A/C also not working properly and it's hot inside.

I specifically want to give my feedback over this flavor shop. I went there for a snack. The staff doesn't wear the mask properly, their food serving quality is at the bottom level. When I order tea they just took cups from the sink and used the same old tea bag, mixed some milk maid. The quality of the tea is not good at all. The price of the tea is 230 so customer definitely expect more quality of the products at this price levels. I repeat do not visit this shop when you are at Southern express service area, there are multiple good shops around it you can visit.

Attractive place for a change and get rest while riding long trip in southern express way. In here have lot of shops that we can buy foods, drinks, and groceries, including Cargill's Foodcity. There is small pharmacy but the day i went there it's closed for some reason. And have good and coewn washroom facilities, but bit old. Garden and architectural design is eye catching. Entrance is totally free. But have to pay for using of washroom facilities. And for goods that we buying. But the price of those items are bit high than normal places.

Spacious and has ample parking space for an average busy day on the highway. The place is well-maintained and contains a shopping mall which features a majority of restaurants, a grocery store and a filling station outside. The prices of food can be a bit above average. The restrooms are well-maintained. As of now, temperature checks are required upon entry to the mall.

Very bad quality rotten foods in almost all good stalls... Foreign Chocolate store selling expired stuff with fake expired dates. Unchanged Toilets closed due to Covid; but charged Toilets are open in same scenario.

All the restaurants are offering delicious eateries. Toilet(paid) is very clean which should be encouraged in Srilanka.

Only access in express way. Authorised persons and workers have another gate to access from normal way. Good food And good fueling. Foods are expensive. Clean place.
