The viewing platform is not that great a spot for photos especially at sunset. You are much better off walking amongst the Pinnacles and getting some great sunset shots with them in the frame. The views are spectacular if you find the right spots. Fascinating place well worth visiting.

Great desert experience. Wonderful vista's of seashell formations on the 4km trail. Plenty of photo opportunities but would recommend buying head covering fly nets as there zillions of annoying flies. You may feel silly but you'll be more comfortable than everyone else.

This is another of those must visit at least once place in Perth. Nature's wonder of naturally formed rock columns. It's almost 3 hours drive though, so highly recommended to find some mid point activities to make this drive more fun - frankly after 30 mins all the rock columns looked the same to me 😅. We went for lunch and then ATV ride at the sand dunes after this.

Sort of place you want to wander around alone, with no other sound. It's quite unusual, in a sense un-real. Like what you'd expect Cptn Kirk and Mr Spock to beam down to. One particular location had many hundred of short "pinnacles", about half to a meter tall, and it was like a strange graveyard. The thought that each tombstone marks a year or some period of time, that is no more.

Very cool place to check out. Best thing is that you can just drive around the thing and take your time to admire the views and the colours. Bonus points if you can spot the 4m high pinnacle. Anywhere else in Australia, this wouldn't have been possible to just drive around... someone would've full sent it across the thing in a 4wd and gotten it closed for everyone.

The Pinnacles are a pretty incredible visit, although it's hard to get photos without other people getting in the way! It's $15 entry per car, which seemed steep to me but the discovery centre and walkway etc was well maintained and there is a staffed gift shop there too. You can walk or drive through via a walking trail or a 4WD track, which is suitable for most 2WD cars anyway. Just no trailers or large motor homes - you'll need to detach the trailer in their long bays before entering if you drive through, you're likely to stop and get out of the car anyway to walk around + take photos. Allow approx 45mins to an hour for the visit.

Pinnacles is a wonderful, interesting attraction that you will never forget during your journey. Here, you not only save memorable photos but also a place to expand your knowledge about its formation and structure during the movement and change of the earth.

This is my second time visit, I joined the sunset and stargazing tour this time. The sky was clear and we managed to see and learned a lot about the galaxy. We even saw 2 satellites moving across the sky.

Fantastic experience, would highly recommend. On a breezy day bring sunglasses as the sand can blow into your eyes. Spectacular views and fun driving off roading.

Majestic natural geologic creation which scientists are still contending over its formation process. Awesome limestone pinnacles emerging from the desert landscape. This viewpoint allows you to view the coast as well as the pinnacles, and gives you a panoramic view of the desert.

This is an amazing place to go chill out in the evening and to do a bit of star gazing. It was mostly cloudy when we went, but when there were breaks in the clouds, it was amazing.

👍 We decided to check out Kangaroo Point on the way up to Kalbarri and was greeted by a flock of Emus. I think a name change to Emu Point is in order here :). It is a nice place to check out the local wildlife and do some swimming and snorkeling, however there is a lot of seaweed which may put some pe...
