Fun little spot feels like an old Willy Wonka store but more upscale. Pros: - Excellent ‘death by chocolate’ cake - Hot chocolate was spot on - Nice variety of chocolate treats and candies Could be improved: - What is the deal with no prices on your menus or the candy store? Are we supposed to read minds and when we ask staff they look at us like we can’t afford it, seriously… add prices to your menu and candies!! Transparency people, it makes everyone’s lives easier. - Were not the only ones, but you really need to explain how the seating / candy area works. It’s not intuitive and the staff are young and not very knowledgeable when asked (and some with spotty English) so it’s difficult to understand how the shop works, ingredients used (I.e. allergies!) Other than that, this place could be fantastic.

EDIT: DO NOT COME HERE! I hope this place changes the employees and management fast. I have never experienced more rude treatment for a guest than these incompetent people that are hired here. I don’t even think there is a hiring system because any uneducated person can just start working without having a clue of how the hospitality business works. If people want to enjoy their time here, YOU shouldn’t give them the check they didn’t ask for and ask them 3 separate times (3 separate employees) if they can charge. What is the matter with you? You do not deserve anyone’s business. Treating customers like dollars and ruining this beautiful store. I will never recommend this place to anyone but I will WORN them NOT TO COME HERE! I really want to like this place because it is a beautiful idea and it is very cute. But service is absolutely horrific here. A lot of young employees that have not been trained well so they don't even know how to prepare orders properly. Most of them don't even understand English that well. We had 3 servers in front of us at the bar just washing dishes and splashing water everywhere. Not to mention their drying cloth was so damp that our mugs smelled like mold. Completely unhygienic. It was chaotic watching the employees run around and yell at each other. It is good for pick up, though their sweets are very sweet. And the restroom was clean.

Poor service! We use to love this place. I don’t know what’s going on. It was freezing inside. I asked for double espresso with steamed milk, the waitress started that the late is the same thing I had to end up with the bad quality late. My friends had cappuccino and hot chocolate they were not happy at all with their choices. We asked for some sugar on a table of four the waitress brought us only 2 spoons for mixing. The worst thing was only cake that they had available for order from their menu was the chocolate And the carrot cake. And we went there specially for the the Bailey’s cake. Reason why they had only this two cakes available she said they are short of cakes because they sold out for Valentine’s Day. Hmm today is the 17th.

What’s not to like about this place!! Two large contagious areas - one serving cakes, macaroons and other sweet delicacies. Other area is a happy place for any chocolate lover. We tried two hot chocolate drinks and we were impressed. The staff here is super nice - they went over and beyond to make the experience worthwhile. So… if you are looking for a super nice hot chocolate drink and particularly in the winter, just walk in, sit down, soak the atmosphere and the service … and order your drink. The delectable drink will delight you.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles. The aesthetic, atmosphere, design of the whole chocolate shop and bistro was beautiful. The chicken florentine crepes, beef stroganoff crepes, beef short ribs, and grilled cheese was phenomenal. Compliments to Chef John he is a great person and great chef! Brandon the bartender was outstanding aswell the raspberry brownie iced coffee was phenomenal! 100/10 place and definitely reccomend!

Absolutely delicious chocolates and sweets! BUT they state they are open for lunch on their website & when we stopped in for lunch, THEY WERE NOT! What is a website good for if you don't put the proper information on it????? In addition, their prices are considerably HIGHER than stated on the website! You're going to lose potential clients if this continues....

Ok place. Nicely decorated store. Chocolates are usually good, but sometimes they are so-so. The chocolates I purchased today seemed "old", and not very flavorful. Management is not very impressive and can be unfriendly at times. You will spend some money here. Everything is expensive. Right now they are remodeling so the selection appears to be limited. I keep going back with hope that one day?

The raspberry cup was unreal. I would drive back out just to try the tart creaminess of it again. The other pastries looked so precisely made and delicious. And the variety and creativity is worth spending time just observing everything. Edible art! I can’t wait to go back and try more.

Beautiful venue with a classic vintage feel. The specialty here is as their name implies, CHOCOLATE! Bought a 5" Death by Chocolate Cake today and it was wonderfully rich. The cocoa taste was present but not bitter, which I would prefer, nonetheless still really good. The ganache is perfect, not hard dry or too soft but melts in your mouth.

I loved the vibe of the place, and also the service was amazing. I got the vanilla chai, and the dessert flight that included 5 desserts. And it was cheap, loved this place and would come back with some friends someday.

Atmosphere is chill and vibes are real. Delicious treats connected to a tea room that doubles as a bar. Staff is kind and attentive. Great place to stop and enjoy the small things in life.

This is the best place to go for all things sweet. My sister and I ordered the death by chocolate cake and the mousse that came in a chocolate bowl. We split both, and it was still so much deliciousness! The cake was perfect. Not too heavy, amazing frosting. The mousse was light and just perfect. The coffee is delicious too. The atmosphere is really nice, and everyone who works there is super nice. There is a huge assortment of macarons, candy, cake, and fantastic treats in the front to buy as well. I'll definitely be back. This photo shows only half of the cake slice.

Don't bother with their overpriced truffles. They all taste the same, not the best chocolate (Hershey's tastes better). Strawberry truffle tastes the same as mint and vanilla or cappuccino. Go somewhere else for a $6 truffle. Or get a bag of M&M's.

Beautiful looking desserts with very little taste outside of being sweet. My wife and I did a closed eye test to see if we could actually taste the chocolate and the German chocolate mini. Unfortunately you could not although it was beautiful to look at. I'm thinking for near $8 for what's the size of a cupcake should actually taste like German chocolate. I know everyone is having a hard time covid period but I would encourage them to try harder.

This place is really cool and has all kinds of stuff. However, I felt the staff was a bit under educated on certain items and really couldn’t tell us more info about the items or treats in the store. It was a shame because I would have spent a lot more money.

10/10 recommend! I came here with my cousin & we had a blast. We ordered the 5 pc dessert flight to share. I got the caramel hot chocolate, and she got the Mexicocoa hot chocolate. Yumm 💜

The hot chocolate my husband and I got was very delicious and the services from the girls behind the bar was excellent. However when we went to the patisserie side to get some chocolates to go, it took forever for the guy working the counter to even ask us if we needed anything or to acknowledge us at all. Once he did it was fine but considering we were the only people in the store standing there it seemed a little odd that we just got ignored for so long.

Thanks to google for recommending this place for a hot chocolate on a cold Sunday. Loved the ambience and the service. The staff were polite and friendly. Ordered European sipping, Avocado Burrata Toast and a roasted vegetable savoury crepe. The European sipping hot chocolate took me back to my hot chocolate days in Ireland. Extremely good. It was thick, warm and the whipped cream on top completed it. Wholesome. The avocado burrata toast had too much balsamic vinegar on top. Didn’t enjoy it much. The roasted vegetable crepe has pesto mayo with vegetable filling. We customised it with a side of salad. It was sufficient for 2 people to share. It was delicious. I would highly recommend this place for the hot chocolate. It’s better than the ones that I had in downtown.

Really cute place. I felt bad because it seemed like a lot of new young kids working. We just stopped for a couple of drinks. I think if you're looking to have a quick drink it's fine, or lunch.. but if you're looking for an experience maybe go during the day.

The truffles are stupendous! Everything in the store is fabulous and employees are helpful and patient. The bistro is cozy and you can have coffee with your yummies from next door. I always go for special occasions.

I have been a loyal satisfied customer for years but now am just shocked and extremely disappointed by their product and especially their treatment. When my order of 2 boxes of the chocolate regimen arrived, only one was boxed in the typical manner. Shockingly the other was not boxed at all but was only in a flimsy cellophane bag. As soon as I lifted the bag all of the chocolate slipped out the bottom loose and unprotected. I immediately took a picture and sent to Maria who had taken my original order. She apologized and said she would take my concern to Cathy the owner. When I never heard back, I texted Maria again and she said that Cathy would be taking care of it and would contact me. However she never did. I spent weeks trying to contact Cathy by phone, text and email. She responded to email once saying that she never saw the picture and that they always send it boxed. I sent her the picture again and said that's exactly why I'm looking for an explanation as to why they'd be sent so carelessly since they always have been boxed in the past. She left me one voicemail asking me to call her back which I did, but again she has never responded. I guess the takeaway here is you may like her products, but just hope a problem never arises for you. Because it seems Cathy Bouchard cannot be bothered. Again, so disappointed after our long history :(

This place use to be such a fun chocolate place to go to years ago! Now I can’t even get in haha! I have tried to go to Le Chocolat 3 different times this year. In the winter, early this summer, and just yesterday. Every time they have been closed when they said they were suppose to be open. If you ever need some fun chocolate recommendations because Le Chocolat is closed once again, try Geneva! They have All Chocolate Kitchen and Graham’s 318!

Walked through downtown Naperville and passed by La Chocolat. Saw a sign outside that gave false advertisement. There was no shakes, no crepes, nothing on the menu outside. Very upsetting ): we did end up getting the carrot cake which was decently good. They gave us the excuse of COVID but with no further explanation. I hope the next time we visit they actually have everything they advertised on their outside menu.

Great selection of pastries, candies, chocolates, truffles, etc. Lots of staff, all eager to help. Small dining area is in an adjacent room where you can order drinks as well. Yummy sweets, mediocre coffee, beautiful interior, no prices displayed.

We just celebrated our wedding at Le Chocolat and the business owner Cathy was an angel. We had an elevated high tea wedding ceremony and reception for 31 people. It was everything I could have hoped for and more. Everything was perfect. My guests were overwhelmed by the level of service, the elegant set up and tasty food. The service staff was amazing. I have been in the hospitality industry 25 years and this surpassed every hope that we could have had. Thank you to Cathy and her team. This was the best decision we could have made. Thank you.
