The best damn pizza you will ever eat. Hands down the best. I have tried almost every pizza place all over naples, and no one can beat their dough. It's not even close. When you take your first bite, you will just know. The staff there is amazing as well. Friendly, happy, and passionate, which is why the pizza is the best they put 30hrs into every batch of dough! Do yourself a favor and get a pizza here.

This was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. We went to the restaurant half an hour earlier than opening times and we were among the first to be seated. Very nice atmosphere. Service is good and fast. We ordered margarita buffalo which was fantastic. The tomato sauce is very delicious. We even ordered a pesto pizza. I loved the taste. The pizzas are very simple but they are magical. I recommend this place for everyone who visits Naples. I would even recommend their own beer. Best pizza in the world 🍕😍

This is one of those places that you have to line up for about 15-20 minutes before they open at noon if you want to get a table (or don't want to wait for a long time). But in spite of its popularity it's still very affordable. This place also became famous for the Italian culinary crime of putting pineapple on a pizza so of course we had to try it. Of course, it's not anything like a Hawaiian pizza, It's a garlicy white sauce with caramelized pineapples and it was amazing. We also tried to the Aldo (like a momosa pizza elsewhere in Naples with cream saurce, corn, and ham), and the margarita extra. Very good all around.

Very good pizza's. The best we ever had. The staff was friendly but always in a rush. After finishing your pizza or dessert, you are supposed to leave right away. So if you are searching for a restaurant to sit all night and take your time, this might not be something for you. We did not mind it as we knew it beforehand. If you do not want to wait long before entering, I would recommend going early. We were there around 18.30 and only had to wait 20 minutes.

The reviews are true! This was absolutely the best pizza We have ever had. We tried the Margarita and Pesto. Pesto pizza was out of this world, gotta try to know! Service was great also, Jean Luca our server was very nice. If the line up is too long which always is, get one pizza for take out (ready in 5-10 min) and have it while you wait, it is worth the wait! I’ll cone back here again!

A legend that deserves all the positive reviews. It's worth waiting in line because the pizza is perfect and delicious. Pizza dough excellent, but even better is the sauce. Oh, wonderfully sweet and intense. Even a simple marinara makes Naples the best place on earth. Service ok, but you know that with so many people there is no time for more interaction. You have to come here, one of the best pizzerias in the world, definitely.

This is good pizza, but it’s not worth waiting 2+ hours for. The style is soft rather than crispy, but there’s a very wide selection of choices. If you want to try, come at lunch or at 7pm and give your name at the front. They then call the names in roughly first come first serve, but keep an eye on what’s happening as they also skipped a few people while I was waiting.

We've been to napoli for 5 days and had pizza every freaking single day and this pizza was the best. So simple yet so good. Crispy dough fresh ingredients and fast service (once you get inside). IMO that pizzeria for pizza itself deserves 5 stars but the waiting queue is just ridiculous. We've waited for more than 1 hour and honestly I'm not so sure if it's worth the waiting. Of course pizza is delicious but it's just pizza and the interior is average

We came here after reading all the reviews and blogs saying it was one of the top places in Naples for pizza. My first impression was how chaotic it is outside. It's not obvious what the process is for either getting take away or dining in. We eventually spoke to someone at the front and put our name down for a seat and we were told it would be an hour or so. We came back just before and eventually our name got called out. It feels like there could be a much smarter system to solve this given the daily queues here. The service was a bit slow inside and we had to ask for menus and to order, but the waiters were friendly. We also never got asked about dessert. Our Pizzas were good though, but for me there was far too much water in the middle, the pizza was soaking wet. I know that's more common here but we ate Pizza in a few other places and it wasn't anywhere near as bad. The pizza was still super tasty, but just a bit too watery in the centre for me. I also think there are just as good pizzerias around Naples

The pizza didn’t disappoint! The service unfortunately did and took away from it. We waited nearly one hour in line and 25 min for our pizza. The staff is not very friendly, which I guess could be understandable given the crazy demand they have. We were at the old section, which is only pizza, and you need not order anything else. They are masters at their trade, the texture is perfect, and the sauce is to die for. We had a regular pure Margherita. This is definitely part of the Naples experience and you’ll want to try this pizza. I do recommend maybe trying off peak hours for a better experience.

After reading some reviews we weren’t sure what to expect.. You go there, they write your name on the list and when it’s your turn you ate called on the speaker. We were probably lucky to have only 3-4 people before us and waited around 20-25 minutes. The trick is to go early around 6-6:30pm. Have a aperitif from the other side of the street while waiting. We had a nice table, the service was fast and they brought our drinks and pizza in few minutes. Highly recommend the local wine and the margarita. The dough is incredible.. soft, tasty, airy and just perfect! It’s different from De Michelle so try both 🍕

It comes as a highly rated and popular restaurant and is immensely busy a lot of the time, so it’s recommended you visit during off peak hours, though there is a small and delightful spritz bar opposite where you can wait until your name is called. We had to go, write our name down with a receptionist who will then call you on a tannoy.

Best pizza we had until now!! Especially their Napolitan style Margherita was just perfect! Great dough, delicious tomato sauce, well baked, big size and with only 5.90 each!! Great house beer also! It was definitely worth the one hour we were waiting to sit!

This is quite a pizza experience. Google maps says this place opens at noon but the times listed on the door were 1230. They opened the door at 1208. In any case you will want to get there a little early since the line forms pretty quickly. The staff move with an efficiency and speed that might be off-putting to some but things are done quickly out of necessity, just look at all the hungry people lining up! Thankfully the speed of the food coming out is also fast! We got 4 pizzas and honestly one of them was ordered by mistake because there is no english menu and you have to try your best googling or using Google translate on the menu, however everything came out amazing. The caveat is that if you enjoy a crispy pizza this is probably the most floppy pizza you ever see. The ny style of folding a pizza to maintain structural integrity isn't going to be enough. You'll have to either eat it with a fork or roll a slice up like a crepe in order to eat it. As long as this isn't a deal breaker, the ingredients will impress you with how fresh it is from the toppings to the sauce to the dough. It is truly a delicious pizza place and sets an extremely high bar. The Price is also fantastic, after fees and drinks, our bill was like 53 euros. Definitely a must visit if you're in Naples.

This place really does live up to the hype. It was the best pizza we’ve ever had, the sauce was out of this world. It’s always a good sign when most of the other customers are Italian. Don’t go expecting genial service because you won’t get it, most places in Naples seem to have the same dismissive and brisk service, however that isn’t why you’re going! Get there early at opening time and you’ll get seated relatively quickly. We did this on our first visit and waited no more than 10 minutes. On our second visit we went at 9pm and didn’t get seated until 11. You’ve been warned!

Even with the huge number of positive review, I am always a bit skeptical to how good can it be, but being really honest, it's the best pizza I ever had and probably will ever have. The one with pesto was ridiculous, just unbelievably good. For real. There is a wait to get in, but I ask one to go and ate outside having a beer, which is also an amazing experience. Just go, eat it and see for yourself.

Best pizza I ever had! Definitely worth coming here and for sure not the last time. Service could be a little friendlier but the place was super crowded, you should plan some extra time because there always is a waiting list. Nevertheless, the pizza absolutely worth the wait! We paid 40,50€ for 2 pizzas, 2 Coca Cola, Water and a bottle of their prosecco.

There’s a reason this is said to be the best pizza in Naples on multiple websites/sources! The pizza was the best I’ve ever had in my life!! All four of us who went agreed on this! It is very busy to get in so try and go at a non-peak time. But once you are in, the staff are very friendly and the food is timely! Personally recommend you stick to the classic and get the Margherita extra.

've been to one of Sorbillo's branches before where I enjoyed eating pizza frita. It was my first time trying fried pizza, and I really loved it. When I saw they also had a restaurant serving pizza, I decided to give it a try since I enjoyed the pizza frita at their other branch. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. We had to wait around 30 minutes before we were seated, which was fine. However, once we were inside, we had to wait another 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. The service was not great, and the servers seemed annoyed and rude. It took quite a while for our food to be served. The pizza itself wasn't what I expected; even frozen pizza tastes better. Despite that, I ate it since I don't like wasting food. Even when we wanted to pay and leave, it took them 30 minutes to come. Every time we asked for the bill, they said they were coming but never did. We were constantly sent back to wait whenever we tried to go to the checkout, which was quite frustrating.

Went at 6 PM on a staurday. The line wasn't too long. Got seated in 10-15 minutes. Ordered the pesto pizza. It was good but wouldn't say the best in Napoli but still very good. Service was decent. The ambiance inside was good. Good experience overall.

Arguably the best place for pizza in Naples which is probably why they don't offer bookings and you must visit, give your name then wait to be called. However, they have a vast range of pizzas which are superb and great value (€7-10). Service is quick and drinks very reasonably priced. Visit and see for yourself.

Best pizza I have ever had. If you get there when it opens the wait isn’t bad at all. We went on a Thursday with a group of 5 and had no problems. The service was also surprisingly good for such a busy place. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing neapolitan style pizza. Naples is a very affordable city and the menu reflects that here. All pizzas are about €10 or less. This place has been opened since the 1930s and it stands the test of time. Perfect crust.

The best pizza I ever had, it tops the pizza places in New York. The prices are very affordable and they offer a big selection of toppings. There was a line to get it but it moves very fast, no more that 30 min wait plus there is a bar next door that serves take-away drinks making the wait so much easier. There are no reservations, when you get to the restaurant you need to give your name at the door and they will call you when the table is ready. Don't miss out on an amazing food, part of the Michelin guide for good reason.

Before you continue reading, I must start with some important information - this was the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I had done some research about pizza in Naples and where was best prior to going, with Gino Sorbillo popping up often. I planned going there as part a day trip to Naples with one of my best friends on a holiday to Italy. We walked past the restaurant in the afternoon, planning to go later on for dinner, to see a long queue outside the door. I approached the lady sat outside and asked if I could make a reservation for later, which she was happy to accommodate and wrote my name down. We later arrived at the time of our booking, and after a little confusion (not helped by the language barrier) we were in shortly after the time reserved. There was also a huge queue outside the door, even bigger than around lunch time. Please, thus, be mindful that you may be waiting a while for a table! The staff inside were very friendly - we were seated and ordered our drinks and food very quickly, both also arrived very quickly. This pizza was incredible. We both got the Margeritta Extra. The quality of the pizza dough was outstanding, with the blistered crust adding extra flavour. The tomato base was incredibly fresh, and the cheese so flavoursome. An absolutely outstanding pizza - I would travel back to Italy just to have this pizza again. Also, this was the cheapest pizza I had during our stay in Italy at €6, and hands down the best! It is definitely a knife and fork pizza, which is not a negative, just something to bare in mind if you love a crispy base/holdable pizza slice. Please, if you love pizza, especially Neopolitan pizza, go to Gino Sorbillo's, I could not recommend it enough.

It was really worth the wait! The best pizza of our food trip in Italy! We arrived at 7 PM when the restaurant reopened in the evening and spent an hour in a queue but once we got a seat, it took us less than ten minutes then our drinks and pizzas were served. Service was fast and friendly, restaurant was clean, price was inexpensive and the most amazing thing was pizza! Oh gosh, really, go try it!

Little bit overrated as I can see a lot of people queing there every day, although the pizza is just okay. Definitely not the best pizza in Naples that I had. Our tour guide told us that this Sorbillo guy is just very good at marketing. :) However, if you are planning to visit this restaurant, I would recommend the fried pizza. Something more special and very local as well.

This place was recommended to us by our AirBnB host and a friend who is from Naples, so we just had to visit. It was slightly disappointing that there only seemed to be one vegan option on the menu, and they didn't have all the ingredients, meaning I ended up having a pizza base with different tomatoes on top. It was however an enjoyable pizza and excellent value for money, but I didn't understand the hype...

Delicious pizza, fresh ingredients, a lot of options to choose, nice service. We were there two times. When we came 2 minutes after opening hour, there were only two free tables. If you see queue behind the local, you have to add your name to the list inside. For two pizzas, one spritz and one cola we paid about 35 euros. You must visit this place when you are in Naples.

while there is debate about which pizzeria was first in the world (and this is one of the contenders), there shouldn’t be any debate to why this one has stuck around for so long. Even the simplest of their pizzas have great quality ingredients from the fruity and acidic sauce to the fresh chewy cheeses. The thin crust is so thin that the sugar will any structural integrity it once had, but that is pretty common and when folded holds up pretty well. If this is your first pizza in Italy, you might be surprise to see that not only is the pizza not cut, but they will give you a fork and knife to eat it. (This is absolutely normal). Unlike the other “first pizzeria”, this one has great atmosphere. The table setup seems almost designed to enjoy conversation with strangers (an up side for some and downside for others). The seats I was put at look out at the busy street which is actually kind of fun to just enjoy your pizza while people watching. For how busy they are, the pizzas come out relatively quick and if you are a single person it seemed like you could get seated right away. In general it was some of the best pizza I have had and will definitely be back if I’m ever in Naples again.

Some of the best prosciutto I've had on pizza. These pies are decent in size for about 6 euro. Be ready to eat and remember this location is popular and can have a bit of a wait.

Gino e Toto Sorbillo is a Neapolitan pizza haven! Offering some of the most delectable pizzas, it's a marvel how they manage to keep the bills so pocket-friendly. Each slice boasts generous portions and authentic flavors that encapsulate the essence of Naples. Despite its location in a tourist-centric area, which led to a 20-minute wait outside, the pizza more than made up for the anticipation. The ambiance is vibrant, bordering on chaotic, but it's all part of the charm. An unexpected delight was the roaming dog, adding to the establishment's unique character. Though the lack of English on the menus was a tad surprising, it further authenticated the local experience. Embrace the environment, relax, and let your taste buds embark on a Neapolitan adventure. An absolute treat for pizza lovers.

The pizza is really good and the you can tell how fresh it is. The only downside is how rushed the service is. We ordered and less than 30 seconds after we changed our mind about the second pizza but we were told that it was too late to change our order😂 But i guess it's understandable given the lines of people waiting to get in. But this place is great value for money, there are very few places that serve this quality for such a low price.

The best pizza we had in the week we were in Naples - nothing came close to their dough which was truly 10/10! Yes, we waited but it only took about 20-30 minutes and there’s a bar across the street you can grab a beer at while you wait. The woman taking your name is incredibly unfriendly but the waitstaff inside were lovely, attentive, and working hard to ensure everyone enjoyed their experience. The menu is in Italian, use the Google translate picture feature to read the translation or go with the waiter’s recommendations.

Traditional Naples Pizza Give yourself some time because the wait can be extended depending on the day and time (40 minutes). The pizza is good, and you will experience a traditional Naples (Napoli) pizza; the wood-fired brick oven has been a critical step in making excellent pizza over the years. I recommend the mortadella.

  • 5/5 eagle S. 1 year ago on Google
Probably the best pizza in the world. Management of the restaurant room leaves something to be desired, there was one place available by the window overlooking the street on both occasions that I was there, yet I was made to wait 90 minutes on Friday night and 40 minutes on Saturday lunch. Is it not more logical to fill those seats with the single people that were already waiting? On both days they were left unused until it was finally my name on the list order! I could have been seated immediately. But the pizza is heavenly! Had the diavolla and the mushroom.

  • 5/5 Julia B. 2 years ago on Google
We had the best experience at Sorbillo. Pizza was perfect and the place has a social restaurant interior (most other pizza places in Napoli are more basic and feel a bit cold). Whilst I def recommend to go with the traditional Margherita (sooo delicious!) Sorbillo also offers a variety of toppings. Yes you have to wait a bit to get in but it was worth it.

The best pizza I ate in my life. I am so sad to know that I won’t find anything like it in America. I enjoyed the quality ingredients and how the pizza is digestible. The crust is so thin that it leave all the place to the flavour of the tomato, the cheese, basil and olive oil. Simple things are often the best. The price is perfect for any budget.

  • 5/5 Ayelen Daniela B. 2 years ago on Google
We had to queue for less than 20 mins. They took our order really fast and in a matter of minutes we were having the best pizza we’ve ever ate in Italy. Has many different flavours to choose from. We tried the pesto and the prosciutto and rocket. Both just perfect. The dough was unbelievable.

  • 5/5 Ivy R. 2 years ago on Google
The best pizza we ate so far! It's less crusty and more one the chewy side and it's amazingly thin and fresh! I wish I could eat here again! I would recommend the come early since the line outside will get really long and reservations are not possible. The price is shockingly low for such a great pizza!

  • 5/5 Zuzanna L. 2 years ago on Google
Probably the best marinara I got so far! Even tho marinara is the most simple pizza you can get they make it really special. The sauce is full of flavour and really garlicky. There was also a lot of basil and oregano which made it even more delicious. The dough was really soft as it supposed to be in Naples. Be prepared for a line because it's a really popular place here ☺️

  • 5/5 Alan L. 2 years ago on Google
Simply: Best pizza we've ever eaten! 🤯 We've been waiting in the queue for like 1,5h, but it was worth it. After they let us inside - pizza was served in less than 10 minutes.

One of the most famous pizza places in Naples and rightfully so. We came 30 minutes before opening and were the first in line, inside the serivce was very quick. The pizza is absolutely delicious and the price is reasonable. All in all, great experience.

We made a reservation and got to skip the huge line. The pizzas were ready in 10 minutes and very big. We had the Bufala and one with Salume and Chili Oil. Very tasty and filling. Staff was nice too and very strict with Corona guidelines. I really recommend to make a reservation as waiting times can be up to 2h. I would definitely revisit next time.

Unbelievable. Best marinara in Napoli. Cheap and delicious. The sauce, the crust, the flavor, incredible, just incredible and i waited only 5 minutes for takeaway. I almost choked to death wanting to eat it, so good it was. World's best in my opinion. Coming back for more.

Good, quality and cheap pizza, great place, atmosphere and service ! in my test the pizza frita was a banger! for 5 to 10 euros pizza of good dimensions for the money! I think the pizza is good but is not something from another word! Before entering the place leave your name and wait to be called, it takes me a minute to figure it out but nobody tells you 😅 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌

The pizza was delicious as well as the red wine we ordered. The servers seemed to have great connections with the locals. The only downside is that they don't have an English menu. I think it would be much easier for the servers and customers. Maybe just a QR code with an online english menu would be nice. Also the plastic cups for water are surprising.

To be honest, despite so many reviews I didn’t have any expectations before coming here. I even almost passed on the place knowing how long the queues can be. I must say though, I am so happy I trusted the reviews and waited some time to be seated as the pizza was just divine. I always rate pizza based on the dough and the one in Sorbillo is flawless. Even when you don’t eat crust - try it there, it’s worth it. ;)

Great pizza! If you are standing in the line and let them write down your name, double check that they write it correctly. Otherwise you will be waiting for a long time. Once you get inside it is really calm there not like outside :)

The best pizza I had in my life. There are no words to describe the taste. Pure heaven. I tried the Sorbillo beer which was also very nice. We were lucky and there was a short queue, we went on a Monday in October, so we didn’t have to wait long, but it’s much more crowded normally. You have to give your name to the hostess and they will call you with the mic when your table is ready. The staff was also very friendly.

Delicious pizza, place worth visiting! We managed to enter 30 minutes after opening ... only vaccinated people enter. A place with an atmosphere! As usual, the Italian service is not very nice ...

We bought into the hype and came to this place to try the pizza... boy were we disappointed. The pizza is mediocre at best. The pizza was bland and the sauce could have definitely used more seasoning. I've tasted better sauces out of a can than what they had on their pizza. The dough was pretty good which is why this pizza is getting a 3 rather than a 2. As a pizza nut, I was pretty disappointed in this place as I was looking forward to eating authentic neapolitan pizza.

  • 5/5 Peter Paul van D. 2 years ago on Google
Exactly how it should be... No nonsense. It's all about the pizza... So if you look past the cheap 🍴 and plastic cups you'll have the best pizza ever..... Please do come on time, restaurant opens at 19:00, we arrived at 18:20 and there already was a waiting line (we were in at 19:10). My recommendation would be to be there 30 minutes before opening time, across the street there's a little show where you can buy some drinks, that will help killing time... My only negative point is the lack of english menu, I tried to translate it through Google translate but that didn't work so well and I didn't want to spoil the moment using my phone the entire time...

Calling all! I cannot recommend this place enough. For a snack, for lunch, for dinner - basically whenever you are hungry! We have come here twice and the pizza is simply delicious. It is so thin and so tasty that it doesn’t give you that ‘bloat’. The hype lives ip to the name and honestly the prices do too. This is so decently priced - both the pizza and the wine. The most you will pay for a pizza is €8.50 but most pizzas are €6.50. A glass of wine is €3 and a coke is €2.50. I think this is an absolute must and coming here at 17:30/18:00 ensures that you are not waiting in a crazy line.

Definitely the best pizza in Italy, and the pricing is surprising for a Michelin restaurant. Prices start at €6.50, must have is the Margarita pizza. It does get busy and crowded outside, make sure to give your name to the hostess outside and wait as she will tell you 😁 You here for the food, not customer service.
