One of our favorite pizza places in Napoli. We went here a few times during our stay, it was that good. The last time though the waiter was rude, so we didn’t go back. I’d recommend to try this place. Tomato sauce is so delicious, the smell of it takes over the restaurant, it’s heavenly.

First of all, it was crazy that we spontaneously got a table for 13 people. Staff was very friendly and quick. The pizzas were really good. We made the amateurish mistake to order quite a lot of 'special' pizzas. But their tomato sauce is incredible. I found that their plain and simple Margherita Pizza was better than a few of these special pizzas. Would recommend this if you don't know which Pizza to try.

I just had one pizza there so the review is based on this experience. I had the lemon pizza which is a pizza with slices of lemon on top. It's difficult to judge a pizza as this style may be appreciated by locals or others but we are in a pizzeria that boasts having lots of celebrities at its tables and enjoys a lot of positive reviews so I was expecting to get something a bit less "rustic" than cheese and raw and thick slices of lemon just put on the pizza. It makes the pizza super acidic and slices are too thick to create a nice balance between dough, cheese and lemon. I love super simple food but even simple things sometimes need some minimum balance, especially the acidity level here that covers every other flavors.

Don’t get discouraged by the queue outside, there are plenty of seats. It’s worth the hype. The best pizza napoletana I’ve ever had. We ordered margherita pizza and porcini mushroom truffle pizza and we were absolutely mind-blown. The pizza flavor was so deep it hits all the spots. Definitely to be repeated for our next trip to Naples.

Great place, and one of the best pizza I have evere had! That place is very busy that's why we ordered to take away. We didn't even have to wait that long, pizza was ready in about 15 minutes. Very tasty, I'm definately comming back tomorrow!

Fantastic pizza but even better fried pizzas. The best fried pizzas I had in Italy. If nothing else you must come here for the fried pizzas. It is away from the main touristy area but it is worth a visit. Short metro ride from the harbor. Highly recommend pizzas from here. Good service and extremely quick if you take out. Everything were fantastic. Perfect dough, perfect sauce, lots of flavor, and good cheese. I would comeback.

Great pizzas with delicious dough. Super fast service. Their Spritz was also well balanced. The waiter told us that the bill didn't include service but in Europe this is never mandatory. I think this was just a scam since we paid by credit card at the entrance and nobody complained.

Really good pizza. One of the best I have tried in Napoli. But what’s the deal with insisting on a tip the moment one finishes their food? I know it can get rushed, but at least let me finish my drink.

excellent pizza ! we've tried this one and other two renomed places , Gino Sorbilol and Michele are indeed better than this one, whether the price or the taste. But this one has the best stuffed pizza! I recommend.

One of the best gluten free pizza I have had. The others in the group had normal pizzas and really enjoyed them. You can tell that they use high quality ingredients. The reason why it is 4 stars and not 5 for me is that they charge an extra €4 for gluten-free pizzas which is a lot more than any place I have been and gluten free flour doesn't cost that much money.

Pizza was great, we ordered the vesuviana special and a diavola. Both were great. Just couldn't help but notice the treatment foreigners received in comparison with Italians. Waiters weren't rude but also not friendly, the treatment was impersonal and quick. Italian customers on the other hand were treated nicer, they got the friendly smiles and recommendations they didn't even ask for. I for one think that good food is better enjoyed in a friendlier environment.

On-point rating 8,7 A pizzeria with good 🍕;) The place has a lot of tables so there is almost always space. Pizza is better then you have it at home:) Things to improve: - spice the place up a bit spent some money on a new enterior lets make the best napolitan pizza place new age;) - we took a picture of the oven upon leaving waiters where inattentive service should be you say goodbye and wish people a awesome day

Great pizza that really met my expectations. We had one of the classics, the pizza Diavola and one of their specials, the pizza Vesuvio. Both were delicious, with good dough, crispy on the outside and thin and soft on the inside. I read in many comments that the dough was too soft on the inside, just be aware that's how it's supposed to be. I would definitely be back here to try more. Just the atmosphere was a bit cold, as well as attendance was a bit impersonal. That's because the place is huge with a lot of tables. However the food came fast and most importantly was delicious.

Delicious pizza, normal for the center of Milano prices. If you are somewhere around, I would definitely recommend. Stuff wasn’t really friendly and no menu in English, hard to communicate. Prices for take away beer is too high, but for pizza definitely yes. PS if u want to have it cut, better ask it twice😂

Had takeout option rather than dine in as it was super busy, but pizza definitely did not disappoint. Hands down the best pizza I ever had and in my 3 days in Naples, I went back twice. Turn around was really quick and pizza was freshly made.

This was the friendliest and most-comfortable pizza place we tried. Much easier to get seating at lunch than dinner. Server was super friendly and accommodating. Large menu and tons of appetizer and pizza choices, including ham and fig and several local varieties featuring local ingredients. Great air conditioning for hot days too!

Best pizza I have eaten in Italy! The place is very nice and historical. They are a family-run business that lasts for generations. Many celebs visited here. I hope to be able to be back. The space are nice and the atmosphere makes me feel very warm.

The best pizza I have tried in my life. Apart from a perfectly fluffy and crispy dough, Starita stands out by providing many innovative topping options — my favorite is the tomato pizza. Also worthy to note that the restaurant operates very efficiently and the service is very friendly. Definitely make a stop here if you are in Napoli.

The "process" a lot of people and that is also how it feels. The pizza is very good though, but do not expect a small family business. They are super optimized, not sure if they had a German consultant ;) ... Everything is well organized, fast, and efficient. I guess the lady at the door who manages the table had a bad day, but the waiter was friendly. The even have a speaker on the street to call the next name on the waiting list. waiting time was around 15min

Not our favourite pizza in Naples… dough was so so and a little tougher than some other places we’ve eaten & middle was soupier. The selection was generous, drinks cheap, and service fast. Room lacked a little atmosphere, more diner-esque. Paid €33 for two pizzas and a drink each.

  • 2/5 James M. 6 months ago on Google • 21 reviews
Walked from the other side of town for one of these famous pizzas. Honestly, mediocre. Dough was still a bit raw, over soaked in oil, and lacked overall flavour. Not much to rave about but it was ok. Hopefully the next pizza place will we find in Napoli satisfies our reason for coming to this city.

  • 5/5 WRL 5 months ago on Google
We would consider moving to Naples because of this pizza! It lived up to all the reviews and hype in every way. The menu was quite extensive, and I wish we hadn't been so full after two pizzas, because we were not able to try the homemade pastas, desserts, or other types of pizzas (we had margherita and fungi).

  • 5/5 Dragos F. 9 months ago on Google
Best pizza in town by far. Would come back to Napoli just to eat pizza here. I highly reccomend it!

  • 5/5 David V. 9 months ago on Google
Fantastic. Wonderful pizza and many choices. There’s also a number of other tasty snacks. We really enjoyed the freshness of the pizza. It was delicious. The service was friendly and helpful. We had a great experience and loved our visit.

Just when I was starting to lose my hope around pizza in Naples, I came across Starita. They run a tight ship and their attention to detail is second to none. Our server was friendly and attentive, and did not hesitate to make suggestions to improve our experience. The marinara pizza is truly amazing and everything else we had was top notch. Potentially the best pizza I’ve had.

  • 5/5 Abe S. 11 months ago on Google
The pizza here is really incredibly delicious! You can taste the richness in the cheese and the other delicious ingredients that they add on without holding back. The prices are really reasonable, less than 10 euros a pizza. The restaurant is pretty clean and modern inside and quite spacious. The top 3 pizzas might well be the Margherita, Montanara and Marinara. The Angioletti Mix dessert is a sweet breaded bits covered in chocolate and pistachio flavored Nutella. Note that they do charge a seating fee per person (coperto)

  • 5/5 Ryoko J. 9 months ago on Google
Amazing pizza! Might be the best we had in Naples. The fried zuchinni flowers are a must to start with. We ordered one neapolitan pizza and one fried pizza. Both were amazing! They had the best tomato sauce I’ve ever tasted so definitely worth getting anything with the tomato sauce.

In the new "Pizza Renaissance" times, coming here it's like visiting a temple: no other place can talk about this topic like Starita, especially at Materdei (Mother of God) area. The place has been completely renewd and expanded, so it's no more so difficult finding a table here. Expect to eat a tradional pizza far from the last high crust trend.

  • 5/5 Darrin S. 9 months ago on Google
We had the best pizza in Naples at Starita! It’s reputation and ratings met our expectations. Don’t be intimidated by how small the place looks like from the outside because they have a lot of seating inside. Worth a try if you are in Naples!

Delicious pizza, lovely staff, great interior, everything was great, prices as well! :) Not surprised why they say this is one of the best pizza places in Naples. We were lucky with the line, we want at around 19:10 on a Saturday, we could get in immediately, when we went out, there was a huge line tho.

  • 5/5 Jennifer L. 7 months ago on Google
The most amazing pizza I've ever had. Words cannot describe how fresh, hot, and delicious it is. Wish I had room in my stomach for a 2nd pizza. Neighborhood seems a bit sketchy but still worth it.

  • 5/5 Zoltan F. 9 months ago on Google
Amazing experience. Visited all the top pizza places in Naples but Starita has the kindest service and the whole atmosphere was warm and wellcoming. We were let in the restaurant by the very don Antonio Starita homself and everybody was very kind to us. Things to try besides the famous Starita Margherita are fried zucchini flowers and fried pizzas. Absolutely loved our stay here and it is worth the walk.

Had a lovely pizza at this place after walking into town for 25 minutes. The best pizza I have ever had. Fresh ingredients were very tasty and excellent service from the waiters. Will definitely eat here again when I find myself in Naples. Very good value the desert was out of this world (angioletti).

  • 5/5 Sonia W. 8 months ago on Google
We spent one evening in Naples and read so many reviews about good pizza and this restaurant was always at the top of the list. We arrived at 7 pm and had no wait (which was amazing, this was in early May though). We didn't have to wait (this place is really big). We placed our order and received our food within 10 minutes. It helps when they're cooking pizza at 800+ degrees. We ordered the classic margarita pizza, the pesto mushroom pizza, and the zucchini flower. All of it was amazing! We had so much pizza on our trip to Italy and this spot was by far our favorite!!!!

  • 5/5 Babis S. 8 months ago on Google

Delicious Pizza near Rione Sarita. I had two of their Pistachio Pesto style Pizzas which had a great pesto flavor to add to the sauce. Highly rated by locals here in Naples! They also do Fried Pizza.

  • 5/5 Charles De F. 7 months ago on Google
Best pizza in Naples! Both eat in and take away. So much flavour from good quality ingredients. Plus there is a lot of table so seating isn’t an issue

  • 5/5 Megan W. 2 years ago on Google
The pizza here is incredible. Price ranges from €4 - €10. We ate in once, the service was very good and they have menus in different languages. Also, we had the pizza to takeaway multiple times (you have to go to a behind the building to order takeaways) The Starita Marina was honestly the BEST pizza I’ve ever eaten. It’s simple, but just so heavenly. Definitely one of the best option in Naples

  • 5/5 Himanshu D. 2 years ago on Google

The best classic pizza I’ve had in Naples. It’s an extensive menu, but you can’t go wrong with any of the options. Great service to top it off!

  • 5/5 Craig D. 2 years ago on Google
This place serves fantastic pizza. Probably the some of the best I've had. We got two versions of napolean pizza (regular and fried) which were both amazing. Of the two we prefered the regular pizza.

  • 5/5 S L. 2 years ago on Google
Probably the best pizza I have ever had. Starita Special is my favourite and only 6.5€!! The quality of tomato and cheese are just amazing, super fast service and friendly staffs, especially CIRO made my holiday so special. Thank you so much guys and will definitely be back very soon. Worth to visit Naples just for Starita :)

  • 5/5 Vasile C. 2 years ago on Google
If you want to experience real pizza 🍕 and you happen to be in Napoli you definitely need to come to Starita. I recommend to come around opening time, 19:00, to avoid waiting outside, after 19:30. The staff is very nice. They speak both English and Italian. I really liked how they treated us. The service was very fast as we only waited 10 minutes for our pizza to come. All in all a nice relaxing experience of enjoying pizza. Definitely will come again.

  • 4/5 Ania G. 11 months ago on Google
This place looks small from the outside, but don't be fooled there is a ton of space inside. Everyone spoke English! The spicy sausage pizza was great. The 4 cheese pizza was very heavy and had melted fat. I would stick to the basics. They had a non-alcoholic beer on the menu.

  • 5/5 Cheung H. 2 years ago on Google
Definitely try Montanara, if you never tried a fried pizza. (Get the first one with mozzarella. Didn’t enjoy the ricotta one.) Definitely also try their normal pizza. I had Marinara Starita, Burrata, Pumkin cream pizza.. ALL delicious. Go for Marinara Starita if you’re unsure. For dessert, I prefer the fried dough with pistachio cream, more than Nutella. Order delivery via Justeats if you’re nearby! No delivery fee..

  • 5/5 Victor I. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing pizza. One of the best we had in Napoli. I enjoyed the cheese and crust, but the tomato sauce was slightly sour (not my preference). Cozy environment. Pizzas with accessible prices starting from 5 euros, but if you are planning on eating inside, they charge for service/copperto

  • 5/5 Sai Kishor K. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing pizza. Totally recommend the place to every tourist in Naples.

  • 4/5 Bittermans G. 2 years ago on Google
Almost perfection, but since I gave Da Attilio and Conchettino 5 stars this has to be a 4, but would be a 4.5 if you could give decimals.

  • 5/5 Scott G. 1 year ago on Google
Friend recommended to me, went twice in 3 days in Naples. Easily the best pizza I have ever had, would come back just for this place. Have English menus, and the staff are super friendly, also compared to other famous pizza joints, seems to have more locals visiting which I always see as a positive when trying new places.

  • 5/5 Gábor L. 1 year ago on Google
Best pizza ever. I had a few on my trip in Italy, but none came close to this one. I had a Messicana, the flavours were amazing and the dough was excellent. Really tasty and rich toppings. On top of this the staff was kind, helpful, spoke good English, and the service was extremely fast. Definitely recommend.

  • 5/5 Alex P. 1 year ago on Google
Currently at the top spot of best pizza I've ever had. Out of New York, Chicago, LA, Rome, Florence, and more, this is king at the moment. Staff were so helpful and getting wife and baby sat down quickly and had a ton of patience as we managed our starving infant first, then as she went on to destroy the table and surrounding floor. The pizza is remarkable. The line to get in is scary. Come early and pray for a quick table. Worth the wait once though if you have to.

  • 5/5 Sophie A. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic pizza! Some of the best we had in Italy! What really blew me away though was the efficiency of the place! It's clearly a really popular restaurant, and instead of going the Sorbillo route of constantly having a massive queue outside, they try to get people in as quickly as possible. We were a bit confused when we arrived, but the idea is you go in and speak to the greeter, they take your name and give you a rough wait time. You then wait outside for your name to be called on the tannoy. We waited less than ten minutes and we were in! Our waiter was lovely and the service was speedy. I highly recommend the fried dough dessert with chocolate and pistachio cream! Service charge isn't included so you add the tip to your own bill and when you pay at the front, the tip is given to your waiter in front of you, which I personally liked. All in all a great experience, check it out if you're in town!

My walking tour guide in Naples recommended this place. And I’m so glad I went to this fancy, lovely place. The staff is friendly and speaks English. We got great vegetarian recommendations. The pizza is just wow - probably one of the best in Naples. Also a great wine collection rounds up their huge food menu.

  • 5/5 Johan W. 10 months ago on Google
If I come back to Napoli, this will be my first pizzeria stop. I had only two, but the flavors were really good and very nice dough, light on the stomach. 7-8€ each, worth each cents.

  • 5/5 Kris 10 months ago on Google
Great place for pizza. Many varieties, including fritte (fried). Beer and non alcoholic beverages available. Waiters that speak good English available for tourists as well.
