Nothing to shout about this hotel other than good location. The amenities in the room are low quality, even lower than the Four Points that we have stayed recently at Catania. Good venue for breakfast at the rooftop. However, the food served were low quality. Cakes were dry and croissants were stale...low budget bakery. Even B&B that we have stayed recently served better and fresher pastries and cakes. We opted for the stay for dinner package. The menu was nothing special but the service was good. In a nutshell, this hotel is over charging customers for what they are offering.

Agree with cons other reviewers stated. Here are mine. Pros: * Decent location for walking around - in retrospect I would have preferred somewhere else though, would have liked to be closer to more pizza places. * Lobby of the hotel is nice, bar staff are friendly and helpful. * Rooftop terrace where breakfast is served is great (location, food sucked) Cons: * Small and dated rooms in need of renovation. * Front desk staff weren’t as friendly as you would expect for the price/brand. * Would not honor 4pm late checkout benefit as a Titanium member. * Suite night awards declined at the last minute leaving me with no options to use them elsewhere. * AC did not work well. * Breakfast was not good. TLDR: Overpriced for the value, wouldn’t recommend. Sadly for Marriot folks, believe this is currently the only option in Naples.

I stayed at the Renaissance Mediterraneo on a long weekend break. It's in a great location between the Spanish quarter and old town so walking distance to all the best restaurants and popular attractions. The hotel is in one of the newer buildings in the city. I booked a room on a high floor with a panoramic view of the port and mount Vesuvius. The room (no 912) was fairly plain and aesthetically boring but clean. The bed was comfortable though and the view did not disappoint. The breakfast buffet was good with a seating area on a terrace giving the same great view as our room. They had the usual things on offer - pastries, cereal, cold meat/cheese, egg, bacon, etc... as well as waffle and pancake machines. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful and responded quickly to any requests.

Perfectly located, lovely, clean hotel! We stayed over Christmas and everyone was very sweet and welcoming. Our room was clean, the bed was great, we paid extra for the sea view (no balconies). It was very loud in the street and constant fireworks going off throughout our three night stay. My husband has stayed in this hotel for months at a time, for work, but this was my first experience with this hotel specifically. I think being a holiday, it was likely louder in the street, but it’s definitely something worth mentioning. The room was great! Housekeeping was great! And the hotel was very accommodating for us, offering options for room service even during a holiday. Thank you! The doorman was very sweet and awesome to give advice of where to go for great shopping and sights!

The view from the rooftop and the breakfast were absolutely great! The room was very average , toilet was very dirty upon arrival and the room felt musty and old. Not a particularly warm welcome (especially compared to the second hotel that we stayed at -Naplesuite- that was incredible!). Not worth the money , but fine for one night! Don't bother wasting your money! You'll get better service elsewhere for a fraction of the cost!

Amazing hotel experience. The staff was very kind and friendly. The Navigator was amazing answering the couple of questions I had. The room was clean. Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious and gorgeous. The solarium was beautiful during the day, and at night. Even the shower was great

Fantastic location. Bell hops helped us with our bags on arrival and got our bags to our rooms quickly. Maid service was great and check in was smooth. Rooms and amenities were modern but a little small. The bathroom was a decent size but the vanity was lower than usual and we weren't in an accessible room. Also the shower pressure was great but it is in a tub and there was a glass panel that went part of the way back along the top of the top to prevent water from spraying out. This is as opposed to a shower curtain. The problem was the glass didn't go far enough back and water would spray on to the vanity and floor. The other issue is the hotel restaurant. Service wasn't great and they bring olive oil and balsamic in little packets. Why wouldn't a restaurant in Italy have proper bottles. The food was otherwise good.

The hotel is great from top to bottom! Top notch service provided from the concierge to the front desk. Bar personnel were just as great as the other. When you walk in, they are very attentive and a ready to help you get situated. Room was a good size, the bed was amazing! Very comfortable! Breakfast is great, sitting on the top floor overlooking the cruise ships and the ocean. Spectacular view. Don’t hesitate to stay here, you will not be disappointed!

The cleanliness is horrible. They try to solve every issue by offering to put you in another room. But the next room has the same issues, if not more. The breakfast was discussed. My husband and I agreed that everything on the warm bar looked like leftovers. Nothing tasted fresh or looked freshly cooked. Unfortunately for us, we had to live 5 nights in this not so great hotel. *****Save yourself and your family. If you are looking for Marriott normal standards, this is not the place***** Thank me later!!!

Terrible !! Do not book this hotel if you’re expecting the Marriott service!! Checked out and asked for the taxi. They scammed us and charged us 25 euro for 10 minutes drive. I expect the hotel to be accountable. Awful experience. My recent experience fell below the expectations I had set for such a milestone occasion. Despite paying a significant amount for our stay and being a loyal platinum member, I've often been greeted with thoughtful notes and occasional room upgrades at other establishments. However, during this visit, which I had communicated was for my birthday celebration, there was no personal note or room upgrade to enhance my experience. My room on the 2nd floor also lacked the views I had hoped for. There’s not complimentary water. It was just hard for me to justify the price whilst I’ve had a lot of great experiences in other Marriott brands in other countries. It’s disheartening overall.

The location is perfect, right off the Via Toledo pedestrian area, and walking distance to historic and cultural attractions such as Castle Nuovo, Piazza Dante, the archaeological museum and many more. The hotel itself is clean and modern with a wonderful roof-top breakfast area that offers a wide, panoramic view of the bay and the castle. The rooms are clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. Check-in was quick and easy. The staff, especially Andrea, were welcoming, helpful, and kind. We’ve stayed here at least five times and are making plans for next year. Thank you!! Bill & Barbara M.

I was unable to travel to Naples on my schedule arrival date due to last minute travel restriction imposed on me on arrival at Rome airport after testing. I called the hotel to explain and requested to cancel my reservation but they refused to show any concern to my situation. If this was normal time, I understand the cancellation polices of the hotels but in this difficult time when everyone is struggling to start traveling with all the restrictions. We need to show more flexible. What more upset me was that I requested for manger multiple times and he or she will not come on the phone. Regards Larry

The staff here is AMAZING! They remembered our names, made great dinner and wine suggestions, they were quick to get us whatever we needed at any time! This hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, the bus station, the pier, and sightseeing, so we had no issues getting where ever we wanted to go.

Just returned from a 1 week stay in Naples. Platinum Elite Member, fantastic breakfast in roof top restaurant was included. The hotel staff booked our daily excursions to Pompeii, Capri, etc. No extra charge for the service and was added to our hotel bill. Yes, some upgrades could be done, but everything in Italy is old and takes time. The staff was great and they insisted we go over the bill before we left. I have no complaints and would stay there again if we return.

Staff was great. Welcoming, informative friendly. We had a recently broken leg and they were great. Location is central but busy. Rooms are functional but in need of a refresh. Lack of usbs etc. breakfast is in a beautiful setting, food was fine there. Dinner was good in restaurant and again staff great. For an end of trip two nights worked great. Airport 20 minutes Old. Dated. But clean and worked. Just needs a refresh. Lobby looked new

Fantastic room upgrade with amazing views of Napoli. We used the pool and sauna twice which were both suitable. The hotel certainly needs an upgrade throughout and breakfast has a lot, but not much variety. I wish there were more fresh options.

Solid Marriott. Stopped for a night on our honeymoon. The receptionist Andrea was very kind and helpful during check-in, as well as all the other staff we interacted with across breakfast service and coming in/out of the hotel. They provide access to the gym next door which is quite large and new. A little busy during rush hour but manageable and overall a nice amenity.

I have nothing but unpleasant experience at the hotel! Staff was rude and unprofessional! They told me they upgraded me, but we got really bad room with marks all over all the walls and with a view on the wall of some other building. Attaching photos of remarkably beautiful wall Attention room was 460 euro ! And that's what you get for this amount of money ! As a Gold Marriott Bonvoy I got an answer :" excuse me with your gold membership all your benefits are - fee wifi at the hotel. On my question where is my welcome card, representative at reception told me:"I'm sorry I do know which card you are talking about , we don't have any" They suggested to change the room to better one , but the room they showed was worst than previous with the hole in the wall! I left the hotel within 5 min after checking. When I showed photos to the lady at the reception of marked walls , she wouldn't even look , she would just ignore me and would say yes I understand that is why I would like to show you other room but you don't want to see ! Afterwards she would completely ignore me and would talk only to the person I was with. Do I recommend this hotel to anyone ? Absolutely NOT! Total SCAM! Note to all tourists : never book a room at this hotel !

Possibly the breakfast with the best view. There is a good selection of pastries. The juices tasted like syrup though. The staff in general are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very outdated and in need of some major overhaul. There are no perks for Titanium guests other than the welcome points. So there is no free parking, no lounge nor f&b credit, no late check out at 4pm (we were told 3pm the latest). There wasn’t even a complimentary bottled water. Location wise the hotel is located in the middle of major attractions.

We had a lovely room, and the staff was helpful, but the iron was broken in our room, we called room service and were told they would send someone up. No one ever showed. Breakfast is served on the 11th floor and was delicious. Eating so high up offers an amazing view of not only Mount Vesuvius but of Naples itself.

Beautiful hotel in heart of Naples. Best breakfast with marvelous view on roof top. Best dinner at the restaurant . Some rooms updated some rooms original . Anna P was amazing to help us get a room that suits us . The hotel is lucky to have her as she understand the needs of each customer checking in .

First class and luxurious facility. High-end touches everywhere, but not without the price tag that comes with it. The morning breakfast view and comfortable bed make it worth every penny. The staff is super attentive.

We stayed 1 night in Naples and I’m so happy this hotel was recommended to us. Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and nice rooms. Centrally located in Naples near restaurants and historic sites. I will absolutely stay again when I am visiting Naples.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Napoli. Steps from Toledo, the Metro, and all the great culture Napoli has to offer. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast on the patio is to die for, and the service is impeccable. Everything is done in the old school classy Italian tradition. Beautiful view of the city and Vesuvius.

Nice hotel (pool and sauna on top, with beautiful rooftop views!), but unfortunately we were ripped off by the taxi the hotel called us. I asked the front desk to help the two of us reserve a taxi to the airport for the next morning, 5:30am, which they happily did after asking how many bags (2), and if we would need to pay via card (yes). We checked out the next morning quickly, and they let us know the taxi was just outside. And indeed a white van with a taxi sign on top was just outside, doors open and ready for us. This was the first and only taxi we used in Napoli so maybe I missed it, but once inside, I did not see a meter, and there was no usual signage in the car that taxis normally have- just a regular car inside. Once we got to the airport, surprise surprise- he asks 35€ for the 12 MINUTE ride. And the cherry on top, no cards, he asked for cash. I didn’t bother to fight it as I just wanted to get to our plane on time. (For reference, a taxi ride from the ferry port, which is farther away and a 20-30min. trip to the airport, is always 21€) There is of course a chance this taxi was not the one the hotel ordered, but- the hotel has no excuse in this case either. The front desk has a clear view of where the taxi picks you up at the front, and there were multiple staff present and no other customers at the time to occupy them. If there is a pattern of this happening, the staff absolutely need to be proactive in making sure guests get to the taxi they’ve helped to order. I see now reviews from others who also had a bad experience with taxis reserved by the hotel, so the cynicist in me wonders if the hotel staff has a sweetheart deal with some shadier drivers who are happy to take advantage of travelers.

I love the location, view from the top and service of this hotel. It is starting to show a bit of age and the rooms can be a bit small. We stayed on the way in and out of Italy and got a tiny room and a decent room. The breakfast is fantastic and the view for breakfast is even better. Even though they don’t have a bar on the top you can bring your beverage and relax overlooking the castle and the volcano.

Beautiful hotel with a great location in Naples. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast has plenty of options and the highlight is the amazing view. The breakfast is served in the restaurant at the rooftop. You can either choose a table inside or at the terrace. They also have two swimming pools, one of them is a jacuzzi. Both are at the rooftop with great views as well.

Rooms and furniture are old. Bathroom design is poor. Toilet is under the sink (literally). Shower only has a half door, so bathroom gets flooded every time you take a shower. Terrace restaurant has a great view during breakfast and at dinner time. Location is excellent. Within walking distance of Toledo, Spanish Quarters, and all major attractions. Staff is very friendly and professional. Very helpful.

Fantastic hotel in Napoli City Centre. It is pricey but the beds are to die for. I'm in it now writing this. The rooms are let down only by the fact there is no smart TV which i am surprised considering the cost. Only so much American news you can watch. Every other channel is in Italian. But the beds are ike being on a cloud and are huge. The staff make the hotel. They are super friendly. I am enjoying my stay here very much.

Nice hotel with good service. In a great location with nearby grocery store, restaurants, and stores all within walking distance. Highly recommend. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because my rate increased during the latter part of my stay. Other than that, nice hotel.

  • 1/5 Eric A. 1 year ago on Google
Room was clean but had few amenities given the cost (for example no way to heat water for tea). We were here for a business trip and only half of our group got breakfast included despite paying very similar rates. They refused to change the booking to allow the rest of us to have breakfast, although we were all eligible. I’ve stayed in nicer rooms at 1/3 the cost.

Amazing location, great price and beautiful room! Located in the heart of Naples close to many amenities. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would like to return some time. One issue was with a receptionist named Anna (there are 2 Annas I dealt with, I am not taking about a lady named Anna with her surname on her name badge because she was very lovely and a pleasure to speak to, the Anna in question just had “Anna” on her name badge) who was quite unpleasant to deal with. I asked a question and she said “well if you let me finish I will get to that” and kept cutting me off mid sentence, which I found quote unprofessional for the Marriott standard. Other than this, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance Naples! 4/5****

The hotel is located in the city centre between via Toledo and the historical center. The rooms are nice and always very clean, the view from the breakfast and the terrace which has two jacuzzis is stunning! The personell is very nice and polite- especially the concierges and Anna from the reception! Thanks a lot, we will definitely come back!

Something is up with this hotel. My stay from September completely disappeared from my Marriott app and I received no points. I contacted Marriott and the hotel, sent the bill, and received vague replies and still no points. I am lifetime titanium and this has never happened to me before.

  • 3/5 Marcel L. 2 years ago on Google
Expensive for what's on offer. No tea/coffee-making facilities in our room, the breakfast was okay, but nothing special compared to similar Marriott group places elsewhere. The location is great, close to great dining in the Spanish Quarter and a short walk grom the old town. The views from our room and from the rooftop terrace were great.

  • 3/5 Erica E. 2 years ago on Google
The location is amazing, very close to the old city with lots of restaurants etc around. Amazing view from the roof top breakfast area. The hotel itself is ok as a place to sleep but not much else. Unfortunately, everything seems to be rather disorganized. Especially the breakfast service was incredibly slow (maybe it’s just the corona measures but seemed rather systematic)

  • 2/5 Marina M. 1 year ago on Google
Overpriced for no reason!! Breakfasts is disgusting, the waiters were slow, knive was dirty. Quite noisy. The bathtub was dirty! Rooms look tired. This not the Marriott quality. What was really good: bed is amazing!!! Good location. Nice terrace view.

  • 2/5 Serena E. 1 year ago on Google
Poor value. The hotel is extremely expensive for what is offered. Breakfast is not included in the cost, the wifi is unreliable, and we were initially not provided with a tea/coffee maker. I tried using the gym, but there was no staff to let me through the gate. In the U.S., for a fraction of the cost, I'm accustomed to a large room that is quite comfortable for work (larger, couch, nice desk, etc). I was definitely surprised at the setup given the cost. The elevator system is also a bit odd. Cleaning services enters early without knocking. On a positive note, the room I stayed in was quite clean and location is decent, near the Municipio metro station, ferry stations, and many tourist attraction.

To start, I need to give many compliments to a younger gentleman that was working, I believe he was training. Super nice and tried to help with what he knew as much as possible. I see a bright future for him, and he was truly kind and welcoming. Wish more people were like him. He stood off to the right side behind the registration desk. Great memory as well. To the rest, instead of booking with get your guide or trip advisor or any of those book through the hotel. They have direct contact with services and I can attest the services are great! I hired a private driver for the Amalfi, and the Pompeii and Capri tour. Rooms are small, but are you really in your hotel? Beds are comfortable, and slept well. I will say be careful in the bathroom and use extra towels on the floor. One reason I gave a 4. I took a shower and slipped and fell as the tiles are slippery. Room service was great and fast. Breakfast with a view! Probably one of the best perks of the hotel. Limited selection of food, but you can also order off of the menu. Coffee with a view you can’t go wrong. Another reason I gave a 4 was that service was lack luster. Hot tub overlooking the city, and a sauna which I loved!! I didn’t go to the gym during my time, but they utilize the actual gym next door. Recommended For a view within walking distance to many main Napoli attractions, and close to the bus station.

Great hotel in the city center of Napoli and next to the castle/boat station. There are two panoramic terraces - on the 10th floor with jacuzzi and 11th a restaurant. The room didn’t have a nice view, but had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable. There’s valet parking. Breakfast was really good with a buffet.

  • 4/5 Adam F. 1 year ago on Google
The service at the hotel was excellent. We loved the rooftop sauna, cold plunge pool, and hot tub with amazing views. Perfect way to wind down a day. The location was great and the lobby nice. The room was just so-so though. Bed was comfortableX but the room was lacking, and noise travelled from room to room, waking us at 6 am two of our three nights. For the price, I would guess there are better options.

  • 4/5 Yiannis V. 1 year ago on Google
Very good choice! The location is exactly what everyone needs if visited Naples. Try for sure the jacuzzi at the rooftop. It has a beautiful almost 360 view of the city. You can get a drink and enjoy the view. Nice room setup and comfortable bed. Very clean and amazing service.

My experience has been excellent. Rosa and Paola at Check in service and Lucio at the Bar, all three were very quick and professional, customer oriented, personable and made sure the stay is comfortable. All of the team member’s customer service has been very responsive and efficient and they answered all my questions swiftly. These team members are always polite and made sure the client is satisfied- They make me want to visit again and I will refer quiet a few friends to visit due to these team members making the stay very comfortable and content! Highly recommended!!!

My stay at the Renaissance Naples Hotel was wonderful. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating on several occasions. 1. The doorman and front desk staff were extremely helpful with our bags, provided a smooth check in upon our arrival, and were accommodating with a late afternoon check out even when their hotel was nearly booked full the next day. 2. Breakfast on the terrace is lovely and they had a wide variety of food. 3. We had booked a tour at Pompeii the same day we arrived. I had planned to just try to catch a taxi from Naples since Pompeii is fairly close by. There were no available taxis out front at the time; when Paulo (doorman/bell hop) saw we were struggling, he tried to help get us a taxi. I had gone to ask the front desk if they could call a taxi company for us and when the woman at the front desk asked where we were going and I told her Pompeii, she immediately told me she would make a special call to taxis that are willing to drive from Naples to Pompeii, wait two hours (because that’s how long the tour is - it’s a fixed time slot) and then drive us back to Naples to our hotel for a flat rate of $100 EUR. She said this is a better deal than booking two separate taxis and it is also very hard to get a taxi once you are in Pompeii. Before she could finish the call, Paulo had found a taxi outside that offered this exact service. It was perfect and very convenient. We were so happy we didn’t need to worry about getting a taxi back to Naples. 4. Our plans changed the day we were supposed to check out. We were a party of 3, and were only staying in Naples one night and then heading to Positano the next day. Due to severe weather, our ferry was canceled the one day we were in Naples and we were unable to rebook for several days. I requested if we could stay another night since we had to cancel and rebook everything and they immediately allowed us to book a second night starting that day and allowed us to keep our same room even when it was an upgraded room with my Marriott status from the original booking. There was zero hesitation. We were very grateful we didn’t have to worry about where we were going to stay that night. 5. If you stay in Italy long enough or look into the restaurant and museum hours, you know that most places are closed on Sundays. The additional night we added to our stay was a Sunday and very few restaurants were open that night for dinner (probably compounded by the fact that it was pouring rain all day too). I had made a reservation at a restaurant nearby but even though I had made it through Open Table, I wasn’t sure if the restaurant actually uses that service; so before we left, we asked Paulo (who had been coming in and out of the rain all day to help people in and out of the hotel) if he thought the restaurant might honor the reservation. To ensure we got a table, he called the restaurant for us and let them know we tried to reserve a table and that the hotel was calling on our behalf. Not sure what was said because it was all in Italian but I don’t think they ever received my reservation so it was great that Paulo spoke on our behalf. Furthermore, when we got to the restaurant, it was SO busy, they had to turn away about 15-20 people who came in around the same time as us. They gave us a table because Paulo had called for us, otherwise we would’ve had to walk around in the rain looking for a restaurant that was open, which again was very few considering my previous search. We are so grateful to the hotel staff and I will definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

I recently stayed at Renaissance Naples for 3 nights and it was very enjoyable. Very close to multiple metro stations so it is easy to get around. It is also near a lot of amazing restaurants and cafes. My room was perfectly clean upon my arrival and very spacious. They also allowed me to check in early which I appreciated. Though the checkout process was slightly confusing. I was going to do mobile checkout but was informed that was impossible they were also unable to charge the card on my account so I had to pay on my way out the door, which was fine but unexpected. My only real complaint is that the solarium door was locked every time I tried to check it out. I understand if they lock it during certain times of the year but that should be advertised and it wasn’t.

I recently stayed at a hotel that had a convenient location with plenty of nearby places to walk. The room itself was a bit dated, with light wood-type furniture that gave it an older feel. While the room was comfortable and suitable for our needs, it was nothing particularly impressive, especially given the high price we paid. We ended up ordering room service and were disappointed with the high prices and low quality of the food. The dishes were expensive and not at all worth the cost, and we ended up wasting most of what we ordered as we only ate about half of it. Overall, while the hotel had a nice location and the room was fine for a quick night's sleep, the high prices and lack of standout amenities made it a less than ideal choice for us.

Fantastic views from the rooftop terrace. Rooms are average. Very comfortable bed , sheets and pillows. large breakfast buffet with something for almost everyone. Free use of a next door fitness center that is outstanding. One of the best I have seen after using probably 600-700 gyms. I don't understand the criticism of some of the reviews. I have over 2,000 nights in hotels. This place is nice. It's definitely Marriott standards

Great position. Friendly staff from reception, maid service. Room was spacious and very clean. The only negative was the breakfast which was poor compared to other Marriott hotels I've stayed in. I mentioned it to the reception and I received an immediate discount. The overall feeling was to give guests a good time and feeling.
