Dirty, dusty, full of mold. We were put into the last room at the end of what was a labyrinth of a floor plan. Washroom barely lit with flickering lights and flooded anytime anyone took a shower. Avoid at all costs, much better hotels for a similar price range.

Overall, not a bad stay. (I stayed here for six nights.) I'd certainly come back if there aren't better options. The good: They probably have the best water pressure in a shower I've experienced at a hotel. The water can also get very hot if you like. So it's a great shower! It's really nice to enjoy after a long day of exploring Napels. The room also had working air conditioning, which I really appreciate. The location itself is close to the train/bus station. As well as having plenty of places within walking distance to eat at. Mixed feelings: The area might be a little off-putting to some. But overall, I never felt uncomfortable. The bad: They advertise the place as having internet. Though technically there is internet, and the wifi signal itself is strong. However, the internet is so horrifically slow that you really can't do a whole lot on it. So if you need to travel and do any work which requires a strong internet. I'd give this place a hard pass. However, if the internet is not a necessity for you, then I'd say this place is as good as any. Lastly, if you have a room next to the stairs on the third floor. Good luck. Since the only access to the third floor is through the stairs, it means you'll be hearing people run up and down the stairs through all hours of the day/night. The walls/doors are also rather thin, so if people are having conversations in the hallway, (why they don't go to their rooms is beyond me) you'll be blessed with the knowledge of their entire conversation.

Lovely hotel! Great room with lots of space and a modern bathroom. The hotel staff were helpful and the breakfast was great! Tried the dinning room for dinner one night as well and was rather good as well. Overall the nicest hotel experience we had in 10 days across the entire country.

The hotel is old but clean. Hall ways are a maze. The door key is old school that you have to leave at the front desk when you go out. Pretty good breakfast served by a very hard working team. Definitely try the baba, you won't be disappointed. "Great" location across the street from the train station but sadly the area around the train station has a real seedy feel. In fact, it felt very unsafe so I did not venture out after dinner.

Functional and practical place for a one night stopover before a flight home. Handy for rail station and airport bus. Rooms are clean and beds comfy, but lacking in other amenities. Too many single use plastics as well.

Lovely hotel staff friendly . Rooms small but adequate with shower room . Cleaned daily. Location next to international train station and bus station. Unfortunately this is where the homeless are lots of beggars and arias used as toilets.

The hotel is located next to the train station. We spent one night in the hotel, we were placed in a room on the 3rd floor, which is not reached by an elevator (the elevator only goes up to the 2nd floor). The bathroom is small, quite poorly maintained, the taps are full of scale. The bathtub was poorly siliconed. The bed had a dent. In addition to the overnight stay, we had breakfast which was a disaster, the staff was unfriendly, there was a lack of bread and pastries, we had to wait in line for food. The tables were sticky with dirt. Luckily we only stayed one night. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this hotel.

A fine hotel. Room was clean and quiet, only weird part was the blue light in the shower like others mentioned. The area it is in was not a concern for us, and didn’t seem sketchy. There were people around when we walked back late in the evening and was no problem. Kids and families outside after dark too. A decent place if you need a base near the train station, but wasn’t anything super special.

Very sketchy area, interior of the room was pretty dated and worn out. They also had an indicator outside the rooms if someone was in them (if the power was on), which is a big red flag! Wouldn't recommend.

3 mins to Naples Railway Station and 20 mins to Airport. A very convenient place to stay. There was no electric kettle & fridge in the room.

Friendly and helpful staff on reception. Comfortable room, nice and clean. Area near station was a bit intimidating but we ate at lunchtime and didn't really go out after 7 pm. Lots of lovely cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Very convenient for the airport shuttle service. Good value for money. Nicely furnished. We really enjoyed our stay. City of contrasts, well worth a visit.

Basic hotel. However, rooms clean and functional. Reception staff friendly. Reasonable choice for breakfasts. Great location for buses and trains.

Worst hotel and area I have ever travelled to,very old fashioned and our room was tired and dull more like a prison cell very noisy outside gangs hanging about right out side our window, laminate flooring was peeling, corner of beds were burst it was more like hostel than hotel.the area is not safe for females to travel alone! Avoid at all costs!!!

The hotel is so close to public transport which is great, but it's also considered a bit of a sketchy area. The rooms do have old world charm but need a bit of tlc. However the staff were excellent and very helpful.

3* hotel near to the station. Ideal for travel but an area occupied by the homeless, people selling goods on the street but we had no hassle. The hotel room was basic but clean. Our corridor had paintings on the wall which made us smile but not sure what they added to the experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast did not include any hot food, self service but staff willing to make coffee and serve meats, cheese and tomatoes.

We did not like this hotel from check-in to check-out, it is in a very rough neighborhood and the staff in the restaurant didn't seem to friendly. The room wasn't to clean but did have good a/c. When we went to the restaurant my family was the only group of color in it, we didn't seem very welcomed and the servers dragged their feet to do anything for us. We got up and walked out cause we can spend our money elsewhere.

A very comfortable place, close to the train station (Napoli Centrale). Good breakfast and nice dinner with warm welcome from staff.

Clean room but on the small side,no mini fridge, very comfortable bed and pillows, good house keeping, shower a bit clogged but wasn't important enough to complain about, decent breakfast plenty of choice but no hot food, bar prices were good for an Italian hotel, all the staff were very nice and friendly, not much of a view from my widow as it overlooked a scruffy courtyard. The hotel isn't in the best part of town there are lots of homeless people in the area which is close to the station,on the whole we had a good stay here.

Charming hotel, spotlessly clean. Very friendly & helpful staff. Air conditioning unit wasn't sufficient for room. Excellent location for Naples Central Station & Airport Bus.

This place was nice. It was clean and located next to the airport. Stayed 3 nights and found this place to be decent.

I stayed here for one night, on July 25. There were ants crawling everywhere in the room. The room was dated, and not very clean. Luckily I was only there for one night, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I personally wouldn’t stay here again. The location is meh, a bit sketchy, although close to public transportation. The staff were quite kind and helpful though, that’s why I gave it 2 stars.

Couldn’t sleep most nights of my stay as the air conditioning didn’t really work. The hotel was generally nice but a bit dated. This is not a nice area to stay in Naples. I highly advise getting a hotel nearer to the waterfront as Garibaldi was an unpleasant area.

This is a 3 star hotel located 5 minutes on foot from the train station, and 10 minutes by taxi to the airport. Like almost every neighborhood in the world near a train station or airport, it is a little rough. I don't think it is any more dangerous than NYC Grand Central. The Hotel was clean, and the staff was excellent! They arranged for us to have a taxi at 4am and provided a prepaid voucher for 22 euros so we wouldn't have any issues with the taxi. We ate around the corner. Food was pretty good. This is a 3 star hotel that is convenient to the trains and airport. Don't confuse it with a vacation hotel. It isn't the 4 Seasons, but it's clean. We stayed for 1 night, and would stay for 1 night again if we were traveling through Naples.

Eclectic. That's the best way to describe this location. A three minute walk from the train station through a makeshift homeless encampment with beds and all. The street is dirty and not well lit at night either. The hotel itself has a lovely front and appears to be a top notch establishment. Then you enter and find the strangest collection of art and knick knacks. Our hall was decorated as if it was old Naples - replete with people hanging out their windows and awnings over the doors. We even had a doorbell! Inside was more art and a decent space. It was the first bathtub we had on our trip. On the other hand, it felt as if we may have walked into a space closely related to the Bates Motel. Empty hallways. Strange art. Lit but abandoned restaurant (that should have been open for another hour). I'm just not sure how better to describe it. The staff was helpful and I'm sure with more time we would have discovered more of it's character.

2 stars for the 3 star Hotel. Buzzwords: clean, tidy, Fawlty Tower vibes, budget friendly.

My husband and I spend one night at Grand hotel Europa and we were pleasantly surprised! The price was more than reasonable and the room was lovely, clean and large. Most of the staff was very kind and serviceminded, especially Gino who was serving breakfast. The neighborhood seems a little rough, but inside Grand hotel Europa it seems safe though.

I stayed here for a few days while we were exploring Naples and some neighbouring cities. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would say the layout was a bit confusing at first to find the room but everything is labelled. Rooms had a good amount of shape and were clean. There was a weird grate above the shower area that was a little strange, same with some of the art in the rooms and hallways but it fit the vibe. The area around it does have some homeless people but its nothing extreme. I travelled with a friend and were both women in our early 20s and at no point did we feel unsafe or have any issues with anyone surrounding the building. it is a 2 minute walk from the main train station and several other bus stops. For the price and amenities I would recommend. A taxi from the airport takes maybe 10/15 minutes and costs a standard 21 euros. It can be booked through a taxi service or the hotel will call one for you and they are there within 5-10 minutes.

Our room is definitely not in the pictures. It's basic. Location is pretty good considering the element living in, on and around the station. It's a two minutes walk from the platform. That's it's biggest selling point. It's undergoing renovation. So is the facade. We walked right past the first time, it's essentially hidden by scaffolding. We complained about the smoke smell in the hotel but they didn't take us seriously. I guess as long as the cigarette is outside of the window most of the time then it doesn't count as smoking in the hotel. The ashtray outside the door of the hotel doesn't really encourage people to ensure the smoke doesn't come in. You might need to bring your meds if you have an intolerance to cigarette smoke. The breakfast isn't a golden moment either. We tried many times to ask nicely for hot coffee but somehow it's not worth their time. It will be tepid at best. In other words, they don't really make fresh coffee. If you want the coffee that Naples boasts about, go to a nearby coffee shop. Hot breakfast is extra. We didn't bother. The big plus is that everybody is very nice and friendly. Almost all of them speak English very well, so misunderstandings are very rare. We tried the restaurant one night. It was nice but the same money will get you a lot more at the dozens of places nearby. In all it's got the location and the price is not too bad but it just didn't live up to the advertising.

This hotel was wonderful! Staff were all very kind and patient stumbling between English and Italian with us. There was a faint smell of smoke in our room like other reviewers have mentioned but smoking is so popular in Naples I don't think the hotel could ever get rid of it completely. Our heater/cooling unit stopped working the first night and a gentleman came up to help us get it working again right away. The next day the front desk followed up to be sure. Good location, nice balcony, and I loved the bathroom!

organized and friendly staff, everything clean, good beds, clean bathroom, wifi top. super close to main train station garibaldi, metro and all the buses. nice cafes, supermarket, tobacco shop and a super good restaurant in walking distance. some people said it is grim at night: me and my daughter were not bothered anytime.

The hotel was great, our room was lovely and clean, we personally thought this area was much better, safer and cleaner than the historical area. Its convenient for the train to pompeii and herculaneum, and the airbus from the airport.

Rooms poorly advertised and rooms are a bit sketchy. Bathrooms are run down, the wifi is spotty, and there are many broken things within the room. Also Naples overall is super sketchy so try and avoid staying here for long.

I stayed here due to the easy walk to Napoli Central station. I personally would not walk outside at night.

Not the best part of Naples but very handy for all our travel requirements in the area. The hotel though was great, very friendly staff, decent breakfast, terrific rooms (we had one of the themed family rooms). They were very nice to us as we had had to cancel the two previous years due to COVID-19 travel restrictions so we were very happy to finally get there. Thank you.

The room was dirty, my feet were filthy from walking around barefoot. I stood on a loose screw in the bathroom. There was a leak in there that dripped water on you as you sat on the toilet. They did fix it tho but still not nice. Some of the staff were nice but some were useless. We asked if the vending machine on the ground floor was broken and they said it was. No one thought to tell us there was another one on the third floor. The breakfast was pretty bad too. You could pay extra for a better breakfast but we'd already paid for an included breakfast so was not prepared to pay again. The safe was tiny, so if you want to keep anything bigger than a passport in it you're out of luck. Lastly, and this was partly our fault for not checking, but there was no fridge in the room (there was a cupboard that looked like it used to hold a fridge) which meant we couldn't keep cold water in the room.

The room was clean and the location was very convenient as it ia located 2 minutes from the central train station. We were very dissapointed with the customer service at the front desk. The elderly man at the reception was sarcastic and gave us a hard time at the check-in.

The area where the hotel was, is a bit sketchy, we were worried to walk outside of the hotell at evening. The restaurant at the hotel seemed like they didn't want to serve anyone, went to other restaurant. Room was okay-ish, decor from maybe 80's, shower had random blue light. Bed not that good. Toilet wouldn't flush until our 20th try.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Europa as a base for a week site seeing around Southern Italy. We stayed Bed & Breakfast. The breakfast was a traditional local style breakfast, delicious pastries , cold meats and cheese on offer. It is the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel and found our stay as good as the 1st visit 6 years ago. Rooms kept very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very efficient and welcoming, Daniele especially was very helpful, friendly and gave great service to us during our stay to the point that he knew straight away to pour a Peroni and a Bacardi Pepsi as soon as we came into the bar. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the region with the train station a 2 minute walk away. The area does have homeless people on the streets particularly by the train station but is well policed with Security Guards, Local Police and Military by the train station. If you like a busy City location this is for you. We will definitely be staying at the Europa again next year as we have more sites we want to see in the area.
