You call it the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and there is not ONE place outside the stadium where you honor the man who won you 2 championships? Disgusting! Stadium looks rundown. Not a lick of paint, pathetic gates. It looks like a third rate football teams stadium not one that just won the championship. Remember, there are people who travel around the world to visit this shrine. You need to set up the right expectations for them. I am so so disappointed. I wouldn't have even made the trip here had I known the sad state of this stadium. A stadium that is called the great man's name but doesn't even display it anywhere. There's even feces round the walkway. Disgusting state of a stadium. Your ultra fans ought to do something about it.

We had a great time at the Napoli game. The stadium is dated and in need of repair. The bathrooms are not something you want to use if you can avoid it. There is no escape from the chain smoking so be prepared. Enjoy the experience. All and all it was a great time.

I went there just to visit the second home of Diego Armando Maradona and that is what I found. You can visit the stadium without any problem and be super close to the field. Beautiful stadium with a lot of history!

Went for the Napoli vs Empoli match! The atmosphere was good but the stadium is quite dated with very basic facilities on offer. It’s in need of an upgrade and the entry gates needs a revamp too.

Stadio San Paolo ⚽️, officially known as Stadio Diego Armando Maradona🇦🇷, is a stadium in the western Fuorigrotta suburb of Naples, Italy🇮🇹, and is the third largest football stadium in Italy, after Milan's San Siro and Rome's Stadio Olimpico.

Last time I was here, it was called San Paolo. A face wash, full seat replacement and other much needed improvements have happened since. Still the city and the team deserve more than this. Public transport is very scarse, access is not easy and the traffic is very intense, parking nearby is an expensive dream. The Stadium is named after the God of football but you can't see "him" anywhere. A little museum nearby would be nice to visit before the games. The restoration service is still the same as when the stadium was restored back for Italia 90. You are allowed sandwiches but not bottles so get organised otherwise there are plenty of food trucks outside. I took my son at the distinti inferiori (5 seats away from Curva Inferiore). You can't see much of the action that happens on the far side but it feels like you are on the pitch. [Distinti runs alongside the pitch opposite to the press stands, Curva are the 2 sectors behind the goals] Price wise €45 per ticket (no child discount) is okay; to buy the tickets, there is the rip-off of the fidelity card at 22€ each + 10€ delivery to pay (it lasts for 3 years). The supporters were allowed to wave their flags and the atmosphere was incredible, although I would hate to be behind any of them. Like at Mass they should distribute a leaflet with all their chants on it, I know just a few of them. We watched Napoli-Verona, (0-0) the away supporters were not allowed to travel because they are racist. The game was rather boring, no goal and when Osimhen smashed the post, it was too far for us to see it but it stillresonatein my ears. For sure I'll be back next season when Napoli will play to defend their long waited title and again for a Champions League game when among 55 thousand people will be shouting out of our souls "DECEMPIOOOOOO".

Was there for Napoli vs Fiorentina game. The atmosphere was good. Apart from the litters surrounding it with broken bottles etc, it's an old but full of historical Stadium.

The best football atmosphere of the best club in the world! You can still feel the soul of Maradona in and around the stadium. A place which every football fan should visit once in their lifetime. Whether inside or outside, but it is a must visit! This sanctuary has a soul!

Great atmosphere ! Like every stadium in italy, in a match day, there is no parking available. Also the entrance is not so well organized. But, the whole experience worth it !

Champions League night with the worst organization of access to the stadium, stewards who don't know where your sector is. The stadium itself frankly needs reconstruction: dilapidated, with wobbling chairs, incomprehensible signs Real Madrid came to Napoli, but there was nothing bright and interesting in the stands. Yes, they sang loudly and shouted the last word of the Champions League anthem, but that was it. There are far more interesting football venues in Italy.

The stadium is not maintained during the off-season, but football lovers will appreciate the free entrance to the lower part of the stands. The entrance is through the yellow gate (see photo)

Came to see Napoli v. Udinese and had a blast. The home of Diego Maradona did not disappoint with the Ultras curves chanting at one another.

Omg I absolutely loved it. The Naples residents are very proud of their team and the tradition of the club. The stadium is very charming and the atmosphere is unbelievable. I got inside 1hr and 30mins early and the fans were already singing. The seats weren't the most comfortable, but they stand the entire time so it didn't even matter. There was a nice atmosphere surrounding the stadium. Saw Kvaratskhelia score his wonder goal vs Atalanta here 🥲😍

It’s stupid from club they dont have any stadium tours, they could earn much money. You really need to have luck for opened doors (i didn’t have it)

Old school stadium that has pretty basic facilities but offers an authentic football experience. Easy enough to get to by metro (Line 2), train or bus from the city.

The Diego Armando Maradona Stadium is a notable sports venue that holds great significance for football fans. The stadium itself is impressive, offering a vibrant atmosphere during matches. However, it's important to note that the surrounding area of the stadium leaves much to be desired. The cleanliness of the immediate vicinity is unfortunately lacking, with litter and untidy surroundings detracting from the overall experience.

Visited this stadium as an Ajaxfan today. Only one food-and drinkstand (3 employees) on 2200 people? Good sanitary, clean facilities. Really good (South American) atmosphere in the stands.

Two lads on security need to go back to the lucky charms shop and get a refund! Not very helpful as a tourist passing and would like to get some pictures I’m sure others could be found more helpful than bevis and butthead sitting on there arse. Other than that decent stadium, could do with a lick or paint and someone outside tidying up rubbish and glass.

🏟Maradona stadium ( ex San Paolo) is a beautiful experience to make in Naples. Neapolitan are so passionate about football and here you can understand the reason: Maradona won two times here the *Scudetto* Italian Cup and this was an unremarkable aspect of everyday life of neapolitans who could finally come back to hope for the right visibility in the whole national territory. Today still many neapolitans are living the same problem as before as many specialised national newspaper still don't give importance to Napoli team despite them to be first place in the league and by playing one of the world best football of all time.🌎

Great atmosphere at the stadium and also easy to get to (train, bus). One thing I would recommend is that if you are planning to go you must buy train or bus tickets prior because after the game it is very crowded. When I was at the game (NAP vs. FIO) the game ended around 23:00 and I wanted to go to our hotel by train. When I reached the train station there were aroud 300+ people waiting to enter the train station but the cops only allowed entrace to those who had train tickets available. My advice is to plan in advance your return from the stadium and have tickets available.

Great team of Napoli and their fans deserve a better stadium. San Paolo is very dated, it's difficult to get in (enormous queues) and get out (terrible communication with the city center), poor organization (few stewards that don't know much and don't speak English). It's the old style stadium so you sit very far from the pitch but... there is something magical in it. Especially when you hear Ultras songs!
