Great place ! Good pizzas in the city center. The staff is friendly and helped us pick pizzas with their personal recommandations. Definitely worth trying it you are walking by. Eventhough they use yelling people in the street, the food was really great. We even had beers while waiting for a table.

Amazing pizza! Staff doesn’t speak English that well, but you can order without any issues. Prices are fair and the overall ambient on the street is great!

Really delicious pizza! Soft and perfect dough with the perfect amount of ingredients. They have all sorts of flavours too. We paid exactly 30€ for 2 pizzas with a 0,33l Peroni and a Coke Zero plus service charge. Friendly staff and such big portions! Located on a busy street with lots of competitors. Make sure to go to Trattoria del Purgatorio as neighbouring restaurants are also called Trattoria.

Really enjoyed the pizza, reasonably priced and delicious for a quick bite or dinner. The only thing that threw us off was the 5euro service charge, there was no mention of it anywhere, it’s our first time in Naples so we don’t know what to expect as of yet. The problem wasn’t the charge, it was the not mentioning it to us when the check was brought out. Just be aware. Other than that, it’s definitely worth a try. (:

Finally a place with outstanding food and mainly a good service We’ve been very disappointed about the poor overall service in Naples… But we finally found a great place, with great food and great service We ordered an amazing fried calamari (€9) as appetizer. Super fresh baby squid! As the main we ordered Pizza Margherita (€6) and Fried Pizza (€9). All great choices. Just be aware that there is a service charge, u think in our case was €7.50 but to be honest I think it was fair

This places has great reviews and the staff used the reviews to lure you in from the main street. It was not bad, not at all, I enjoyed my margherita pizza (6€) and my husband had the Diavola (10€), and the pizza itself didn't feel expensive. It was also big enough to get you full. The drinks are pricey (3€ for a 33cl coke and 2.5€ for a water 1L), and most dishes in the menu other than pizza was also pricy. In addition, they charge you a 2.50€ cupperti, even though the service was quite minimal and there was no complimentary bread and oil (my understanding is that cupperti is for those services). I'd give the place a 3.5, but given the average is so high, I'm erring on the lower side. Again, it wasn't bad, the pizza was tasty and just made, which is nice, but the service and extra charges aren't ideal and there are better value restaurants nearby.

Antonio, the waiter, treated us very nicely in our first dinner there, so we went for a second night and he even greeted us shaking hands and by our name. Food is great and the environment with the tables underneath the arcades right in the city’s old town couldn’t be much more Napolitanian. I would recommend this over many of the typical guide appearing sites (tourist traps) with worse seating places and serious (as in not happy) waiters. Don’t miss this if you go to Napoli

We went here twice during our stay in Napoli. The pizza is excellent, especially the tartufo one! ❤️ Also try the seafood. The waiters are really nice and the atmosphere is great. Don't miss this!

We selected the place because the reviews..was a big mistake. We didn't get a menu, staff offered the foods, and we accepted unfortunately. Antipasti was good, but we were undecided between insalati di mare and crudo e mozzarella di buffala and decided the di mare, but waiter give us a mozzarella (what wasn't buffala at all) and charged a prove of the course with crudo.... For the main course one of the spaghetti alle vongole pasta were tasteless and only contained a few of small clams (there were a lot of empty shells), the scialatielli calapesro was salty and octopus wasn't properly prepared. Place is not recommended, except if you are fluent in Italiano.

The restaurant offered good food with pleasant staff. However, caution is advised if offered an "off-menu" dish, as we accepted without knowing the price. Unfortunately, it turned out to be double the cost of anything else on the menu.... Be sure to inquire about the price before accepting any 'off-menu' offerings to avoid surprises on the bill! Naples will get you. main course in the picture was 25 Euro...... water, 1 beer, 1 starter, 2 main courses came to 64 Euro. not worth it.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere in the middle of the city. We enjoyed everything from friendly attention to prepare the table for us, the starter, the main, all the way to desert (tiramisu, what else!).

The pizza was absolutely great. We ordered one with truffels and one with peso. Both were delicious. Waiters were ok. They charged me 4 euro extra so be careful when accepting the bill. Make sure to double check. It would be a five star but the bill thing was really disappointing. EDIT: Based on the owners answer I give 5 stars with a comment that you should put this info also on the bill. Thanks

We came here because of the star rating on Google maps and it did not disappoint. We both had a pizza, which was very reasonably priced. Great service, friendly staff, and probably the best pizza we've had in Italy. Do yourself a favour and try it!

Une of the best trattoria a Napoli! These guys are very attentive and profesional. Here you must try Carbonara Christo de Gesú and Crudo e Mozzarella di Bufala ❤️ Both are perfect choices and delicious, L'originale! we came with our dog Vodka and was perfect! Don’t forget to close with a Babá… full of rhum! 🤩

Delicious and aboundant main courses of spaghetti allo scoglio, gnocchi alla sorrentina, grilled squid with friarielli and much much more... Nunzio, Fabio and rest of the staff are very friendly and make sure that everything goes smoothly. I sincerely recommend it and I will sure come back next time I'm in Napoli!!

It's been a great meal. Alessia helped a lot to decide what to eat and was fast on the service. The dishes are big, and they tasted great! We all loved the pasta. Thanks, also, to Salvatore, who saved our daughter from the blocked toilet! 😅 We had lunch at the separated space were they have AIR CONDITIONING!!! This saved our life, on the hottest day in Naples. It was not the room with the best views, but we appreciated it anyway.

The best pizza and lasagna I had in Naples!! Very tasty and well made. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the waiter who served us (it’s the one who speak Spanish), very friendly and kind! The only downside it’s their wine, it’s quite pricey for its quality.

A street packed with good places where you can eat delicious food. This is one of them. The pizza was great. We ordered 1 pizza for 2 people because we wanted to try other things. The waiters are very attentive and seem to actually enjoy their job and interacting with customers.

Absolutely fantastic food experience. Tasty, fresh food, friendly staff and great overall atmosphere. Definitely worth checking it out when visiting Naples. The starters and mains come in huge portions and taste divine. Coming back soon :)

Terrific service. Our waiter was funny and gave us great recommendations. Seafood stew was outta this world: stuffed with mussels and clams. Pizzas were top-notch. Would 100% return for a second meal next time I'm in Napoli.

Great restaurant ! Nice People! You can eat just in front of the pizzaïolo and see him Cook your pizza (see picture attached). And what a pizza ! It was the best pizza i have ever eaten in my life. I paid 14 euros for my pizza and do not regret it at any point. They made me discover a napolitan dessert and it was a great discovery (see picture attached). On the top of that, the restaurant is in the via dei tribunali which is a must see street in naples.

The wait staff is awesome and several speak English so that made my attempts to speak Italian much easier. The food is amazing, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Can't go wrong with this place. My favorite in all of Napoli. We came here several times and had a great meal each time. Highly recommended.

Two incredible pizzas that just blew us away. Diavola was just perfect and the prosciutto pizza had so many fresh ingredients on top, it was a completely different (and delicious) experience. Left satisfied, full and happy. Staff were straight to the point and super helpful. Surprised how affordable things were too - no shenanigans.

We visited this restaurant twice in two days in Napoli. The food was incredible, the waiters are very attentive and seem like they actually love their job and interacting with customers. The second time we came it was very busy but they found us a table. We actually tried another restaurant but the service there was awful and we left. We tried a few pizzas, seafood pasta, lasagne and tiramisu here and all dishes were 10/10. Couldn’t recommend more.

Honestly the pizza wasn't that good, and you had to ask them for the pizza menu because they would never bring it. To read the english menu, you had to scan an QR code. The cover charge was 2,50 and it said it was also for bread, but they never bought it to the table. The waiters were nice and knew english very well.

It was an extraordinary experience; the most delicious meal in my life. I thank the boy in front of the restaurant who convinced us because initially we wanted to go somewhere else; very charismatic compared to the others. Don't change the boy! 😉

The guy from the street invite us to this place and he promise a lemonchelo shots for free for each of us. In the end I had to ask for the shots. Also 2,5 per tip per person was automatically included in the bill. In my opinion the service is not so good. Menu is only in Italian. The waiter was trying to promote random stuff from the menu (more expensive of course). I am not impressed by this place at all. I ordered pasta and it was salty and not well boiled 😞 You are sitting basically on the dirty street when every minute someone is passing arround you or try to sell you something. Garbage bin is 1 meter away from the table.

It's a good place to grab a pizza, the service is fast and friendly and the food was good as well. The prices aren't bad either for such a central location. Also, they have deep fried pizza. You should try that.

Best restaurant in Napoli that I tried. In the north of Italy I haven't eaten something delicious like that. I went there twice because I don't know where else to go. Worth 5 stars!

Very good pizza and nice staff! The ingredients and the dough were very good. Incredible quality-price. They even gave us limoncello in the end. Watch out for the doppelganger of Diego from the tv show Umbrella Academy, he was spetacular.

Taste and the price for pizza was very good. Pasta was tasty but price seemed kinda steep. I would highly suggest it, a great place to eat.

  • 3/5 Jeremie Le H. 2 years ago on Google
I won't speak about the prices, that's cheap everywhere. We picked the most expensive pizzas (10€ each, but that's still fairly affordable). The pizza dough was really good. The pizzas themselves were rather good but not the best I've had in my life (which were in Zürich, not in Italy!). One of the pizza (Purgatorio) was however extremely salty; the taste was really good but it was spoiled by the saltiness. The pizza Tartufata was great. We had a glass of wine, one red one white, they were okay. It was a bit surprising as they were both slightly sparkling, but I believe that's a thing in Italy. I could have given 3.5 stars but I was on the terrace and the woman behind me was repeating the same sentence every 20 seconds to fish for new clients. At one point the pitch of her voice became really annoying to me l that I could not stand it anymore and I had to leave. If you can't abstract away this kind of noise, don't come here when this is happening.

Simple place (like most trattorias in this area), but tasty food (especially the pizza) and good value for money, especially since this is a very busy and touristy area. The waiters speak English. Service is prompt and not overly friendly, which I like, since I don’t enjoy being asked the food is while I am mid-chew.

  • 4/5 Wendy L. 2 years ago on Google
Pizza from hell is delicious. I had a chef pizza with mushrooms, ham and cheese. The dough is soft and thin, more than enough for one person. Tiny restaurant with just 4 tables indoor.

  • 4/5 Δ. 2 years ago on Google
Good place to each cheap. Lots of pizzas and meat / fish pasta. Since they are trying to get clients all the time they sometimes forget about some customers. We waited more than 30 minutes for 2 pizzas and pasta while the newest customers already had their pizzas.

  • 5/5 Julia Z. 2 years ago on Google
Awesome Pizza & Pasta! True Italian Style! It's a small family restaurant, where staff is really friendly and hospitable. A beautifully smiling lady invites you to the restaurant, who will help you find whatever you want. You are served by nice waiters, whose brother makes pizza, and the mother is the chef when it comes to other dishes. Being only a few days in Naples, we returned there twice to taste not only delicious Italian dishes in which tomatoes taste like no other, but also a wonderful atmosphere.

Great little hole in the wall place. I had a delicious pizza diavola that was just the right level of spicy. okay The staff was funny and friendly and the prices were low. Definitely would recommend it for a quick bite.

Very nice pizzeria. Fast service for a 10/10 pizza quality. Really really nice to sit in the terrace they have and enjoy a good meal. Nothing else to say. Just go there and enjoy!

This place is worth traveling to Napoli for… Every other place is a tourist trap and this place is the real deal. The pizzas are so original and so worth sitting down and trying them out. Truly worth it. Best service we have had in Europe for sure after 20 days and multiple countries they are all so friendly and eager to please. Definitely recommend.
