As a professional chef, I strive for perfection and this Michelin bib gourmand establishment has set the bar extremely high for what a pork tonkotsu meal should look and taste like. For ¥1900, I got their special kurobuta black pork cutlet which came with a beautiful bowl of rice, miso soup made from his mother's miso, a fabulous small plate of housemade pickles made with black vinegar to counter the fattiness from the twice cooked pork cutlet. Extremely impressed. Wonderful flavor and definitely a small family-owned restaurant field seating. Only 12 people at one time. Strongly recommend reservations unless you can score a walk-in reservation.

Tender, juicy, crispy perfection. I would return to eat this meal again and again - we left no crumbs! The pork miso was also outstanding. The chef and waitress were lovely and accomodating. This Tonkatsu will be in my dreams for a long time coming. I would greatly recommend if you are exploring in Ginza.

We didn't make a reservation beforehand. There's a check-in screen halfway down the staircase that will give you a receipt with a number and a QR code. Scan the QR code to not only see seating updates but also to sign up for an email alert. It took about an hour starting at 11:30 am to get our table. It was worth the wait though! I had the loin/rosu which melted in my mouth, while my wife had the tenderloin/hire.

The loin of pork chop is the best I’ve ever tasted. The pork chops’ juicy texture makes them delicious and chewy. You may have missed the tasty Katsu if you’ve been eating them. Really great experience and I will definitely try them next time.

I am normally not a fan of tonkatsu but this meal changed my mind. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The sauces and mustard also complement the tonkatsu really well, I suggest trying all 3 sauce options to see what you like best. Butajiru is also great and you can ask for rice refills free of charge. By far the best first dinner I could have in Japan. Do note that the place is intimate and can only accommodate around 10 people at a time so it's best to make a reservation beforehand.

I recently dined at this quaint Tonkatsu restaurant, known for its authentic Japanese cuisine. While the space is a bit snug, lending a cozy and intimate atmosphere, the experience was nothing short of delightful. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Black Abel pig tonkatsu. The pork was extraordinarily succulent, indicating high-quality meat and a masterful cooking technique. The crisp, golden breading complemented the tender, flavorful pork beautifully, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Despite the limited space, the staff showcased exceptional hospitality. An extra friend joined our party unexpectedly, and the restaurant staff accommodated us without hesitation. This flexibility and eagerness to serve added a layer of comfort and ease to our dining experience. In essence, this Tonkatsu restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey. The space may be a bit cramped, but it's more than compensated for by the quality of the food and the warmth of the service. The Black Abel pig tonkatsu is a must-try for anyone seeking a genuine and delicious taste of Japanese cuisine.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The tonkatsu was savory and juicy, but cut by just the right acidity of the lemon. I’ll dream of this meal until I can return again.

My second time with in a month, unforgettable if coming into Tokyo, the best choice for Tonkatsu, very light breadcrumbs, juicy inside and very soft tender pork, love it very much😍😍

The premium loin and tenderloin are both amazing, meat is so tender it almost melts in my mouth, fried to perfection. Friendly service. Located at the basement.

We got the special pork loin and fillet set and it was the tastiest and juiciest tonkatsu I’ve ever had. It’s literally melt in your mouth good, I recommend getting the loin if you prefer the fattier part. Also the staff and chef were friendly and welcoming even if there were only 30 mins left til closing. Would definitely come back!!
