Service was appaling and we could barely get the waitresses attention to pay the bill. This would be understandable had the restaurant have been busy, but there was not a single other person in the restaurant. Went here looking for italian food (on recommendation of the hotel) but would not reccommend anyone else give them their business. The menu also hides the fact that tax is excluded and I had no idea until after the meal. Aside from this, the lack of service and value (very uncharacteristic for japanese standards) was enough to put me off. One of the worst experiences i've had from Tokyo to Hiroshima.

Food is very small for price and the menu does not state that it is tax excluded except for in Japanese or on one page in very small writing (which the waitress pointed out after our meal). Menu is also very limited and really is not Italian cuisine as it may appear online. We paid 4400 yen for two people (excluding drinks) and left feeling hungry and dissatisfied. Atmosphere is non existent and we were made to feel very unwelcome. We had to go to the kitchen door to get the waitresses attention before we could even pay the bill. Would have given this place 0 stars if possible as it was our worst dining experience in all of Japan.

桔梗屋河口湖フラワーガーデンに名称は変わっているようです(20年7月)。22年6月からはRond.ブランドのマカロンなども販売。今回はレストランで食べられる桔梗屋ソフトクリームを外のベンチでいただきました。花咲き乱れる庭園を眺めながらいい休日です。結婚式も行われる場所で鐘を鳴らしてみたら、、周囲1キロくらい響き渡りそうな音が出てしまい大慌てしました😀

紅葉が見頃のタイミングにお邪魔しました。綺麗に整備されたお庭が良いですね。

We came to kawaguchiko in a cloudy week and many restaurants were closed but this one was reliable 😊 Service was great and portions were large in addition to a salad buffet and free-flow soup. Staff even gave us chopstick holders as presents! Meals were less than 2000yen after tax per pax.

Nice garden and the place had a bit of a European vibe. The service was a bit slow but we didnt mind it, here in holidays! Self serve salad with nice dressing + self serve soup with every meal.
